Abstract

The folding head-rest which finds it particular use on beaches to hold the head of someone lying on the sand, is formed by a soft cushion on the back of which is assembled a pivoting folding X frame, the two legs of which have different lengths to give it the required inclination. The inclined cushion may have the shape of a block of flexible material fixed to a regid supporting plate, all contained within a cover. The cover may be removable for washing. One leg of the X frame is connected by a pair of brackets to the support plate and the legs are locked together by a pair of fingers.
