Abstract

The pouffe base (1) is square with vertical sides and an inside ledge (3) all round, just below rounded off rim (40). The top (2) comprises a square frame (4) with the space between covered by elastic webbing to form a seat (5). This frame rests on the inside ledge. A cushion (6) fits on the seat to form a pouffe. To form a chair, tubular uprights (10) are fitted into two adjacent holes (8) at each corner of the pouffe base. A second cushion (12) forms the back, this cushion having blind pockets or sleeves (14, 15, 16) at each end which fit over the free ends of the uprights.
