Abstract

Method for feeding molten metal for the continuous casting of circular cross-section solid metal bars, in which at least the unsolidified part of the metal in the mould is rotatively driven. The metal is supplied through a vertical e.g. refractory, nozzle whose lower end is immersed in the molten metal in the mould. The nozzle axis may be coincident or excentric w.r.t. the axis of the solidifying bar and may also be rotatively driven around a vertical axis.
