Abstract

The bed comprises connected blocks of pref. polyurethane foam, to form a uniform surface. In the perpendicular direction they are variably, elastically compressible together, so that they diminish spatially in size from top to bottom. Each block has the comfort of a horsehair-covered spring mattress. Pref. the blocks are parallelepipedal in shape; each consists of at least 2 horizontal layers of cellular material, of different nature and/or density.
