Abstract

720,696. Seats, mattresses. STEVENSON, W. Feb. 12, 1953, No. 3935/53. Classes 52 (2) and 52 (4). The supporting surface of a seat, bed, &c. comprises a frame and a number of straps 16 of rubber or other resilient material connecting the opposed sides of the framework. As shown, the straps 16 are tensioned by means of buckles 14, 15 secured to the framework and are covered by protecting strips 17 of hessian or the like. In the case of beds the straps may connect the opposed ends of the frame as well as the opposed sides. The straps support cushions or the like.
