Abstract

The curing catalysts (I) have the general formula: where R is sec. alkyl or cycloalkyl pref. contg. 3-20C atoms, R' is H, hydroxy alkyl or chosen from R, R" is alkylene and R'" is (hydroxy)alkyl, and they may be used as cure catalysts for polyurethanes, epoxy resins and polycarbonates when used in amounts of 0.5-1.0% wt. based on resin. (I) are made by reductive alkylation of alkoxyalkylamine with a ketone. A specifically claimed curing agent is N, N-di-cyclohexyl-2-ethoxyethylamine.
