Abstract
Propulsion surface is discoid and located between propulsive charge and an under-bore projectile pref. seated on the tail of stabilising (1) device. Thus the projectile is supported and centered in an unrifled barrel by longitudinal ribs, formed of the (1) wings which are folded in a star towards front of projectile casing and tilt radially of the barrel outlet. Advantages are (a) firing a stabilised, under-bore projectile from an unrifled barrel under high shock; (b) minimal overall length in consideration of transporting weapon; very easy loading. More specifically the ribs are disposed about a cylinder of separate sections; latter is dividing into units after beginning of shot. The casing preferably retracts and has an annular throat fitted with airtight bush similar to a piston ring, having a wall cut away to the rear and projecting from the outside casing of the propulsion surface.
