Abstract

The burner passage orifice can be tightly closed when the burners are withdrawn, and the combustion gas exhaust orifice in the furnace space is tightly closed when the burners are brought into the rest position. Compressed air is introduced into the furnace chamber and molten metal flows through an injection tube into one or more matrices when the furnace is pressurised.
