Abstract

This device for transporting vehicle bodies along an installation for phosphatisation and painting by cataphoresis comprises an overhead loading conveyor 12 adapted in order to take the bodies S mounted on support carriages A with the aid of pairs of oscillating support elements each consisting of two opposite L-shaped arms 14a, 14b and in order to transfer these pairs of support elements to two transport chains 56 belonging to an advancement line 10 which advances the bodies S through the installation. This device makes it possible to vary the spacing between the pairs of support elements which are successively transferred to the advancement line.
