LA MEZCLA BRUTA DE HIDROLISIS SE LLEVA A UN CONTENIDO DE METIONINATO DE SODIO ENTRE 10 Y 65% EN PESO. SE MEZCLA CON UN VOLUMEN MULTIPLO DE 0,15 HASTA 6 VECES DE METANOL O ETSANOL, AGITANDO DURANTE 1 A 3 HORAS A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 15 Y 25<025>C. SE SEPARA EL CARBONATO DE SODIO PRECIPITADO Y SE CONCENTRA EL FILTRADO HASTA QUE EL CONTENIDO DE METIONINATO DE SODIO SEA DE 40 A 65% EN PESO. SE UTILIZAN COMO ADITIVO PARA PIENSOS MIXTOS.
