Improvements in the articulations for a vehicle seat, of the type comprising a fixed plate integral with the shaped seat and having internally a toothing that cooperates with one of the teeth of a double satellite pinion mounted on a cam integral with a shaft that can be dragged in rotation and serving as a centering axis for the articulation, a second plate integral with the backrest reinforcement also comprising, internally, a toothed crown co-operating with the other toothing of the aforementioned double satellite in order to obtain, by rotation of the satellite dragged by the cam and the tree, a multispread movement, continuous and without shaking of the solidary plate of the armature of the backrest, characterized in that some balls (10-11) are interposed, on the one hand, between the cam and the satellite and, on the other hand, between the cam and the inner central part of the fixed plate.
