Abstract

Improvements in electrical circuits, of the kind that includes an inductor that is periodically connected to a source of direct current supply, characterized in that the circuit comprises, in combination, mere switching means to effect connection of the inductor to said direct current supply, a first unidirectional current passing device through which current passes to said inductor when said switching means are closed, a capacitor of which one plate is connected to a terminal of said first unidirectional current passing device, the other being connected plate of said capacitor to the other terminal of said first unidirectional current passing device and to one terminal of said inductor through a second switch means, and a second unidirectional current passing device connected between said other capacitor plate and the other terminal of said inductor, the arrangement being such that when said switching means are conductors current passes through the inductor, the value of the current being determined by the supply voltage and the potential difference between the capacitor plates, and that when said switching means open the Capacitor is charged through the first and second unidirectional devices of series current passage by the voltage generated between the terminals of the inductor due to the fall of the magnetic flux in it.
