Tapa de plástico con película conectada enterizamente y recipiente que comprende la citada tapa
La presente invención se refiere a un envase que comprende un recipiente moldeado por inyección y una tapa que puede ser sellada al recipiente de acuerdo con el preámbulo de la reivindicación 1. Un ejemplo de un envase de este tipo se describe en la patente EP 1 826 139, en la patente SE 512 612 y en la patente EP 2 194 002.
En los envases de este tipo, la tapa está hecha con una zona de sellado que se une directamente con el recipiente. De este modo, se pueden obtener una conexión sólida y un sellado entre la tapa y el recipiente. Una aleta en la tapa como se muestra en la solicitud de patente WO 2009156401 puede garantizar que la tapa sea fácil de retirar del recipiente.
El objeto de la presente invención es proporcionar un envase que tiene propiedades mejoradas al reducir el riesgo de que se produzcan defectos locales en el sellado, reduciendo de esta manera el riesgo de que puedan entrar contaminantes en el recipiente sellado.
En vista de este objeto, la tapa de la presente invención incluye de una manera enteriza una porción de tapa superior en forma de una película de material plástico que cubre una porción de tapa inferior, al menos a lo largo del borde periférico de la tapa. La película de material plástico incluye al menos a lo largo de esta región de borde periférico una capa de un material plástico que es estable dimensionalmente a la temperatura de termosellado a la que el material de la segunda porción se fusiona con el recipiente.
De esta manera, se evita o se reduce el riesgo de que el material de la segunda porción se desplace separándose de la región de sellado durante la operación de sellado, lo cual puede conducir a la formación de puntos a lo largo del borde del recipiente en los que los contaminantes pueden entrar en el envase y reducir el tiempo de vida en anaquel de cualquier producto contenido en el mismo.
La invención se explicará a continuación con más detalle con referencia a una realización.

La figura 1 muestra un envase de material plástico 1 de acuerdo con la presente invención. El envase 1 comprende un recipiente 2 y una tapa 3 que está termosellada al recipiente 1, designando los números 5 y 11 una lengüeta de agarre para retirar la tapa 3 y la superficie superior de la tapa 3, respectivamente. El recipiente 2 puede tener cualquier forma adecuada, tal como redonda, oval, cuadrada o rectangular, y su sección transversal se puede estrechar progresivamente en dirección hacia abajo
Los envases 1 de este tipo general son bien conocidos, y se pueden utilizar para almacenar diversos productos, tales como, por ejemplo, productos lácteos blandos o similares. El recipiente 2 es moldeado por inyección normalmente y puede estar provisto de una etiqueta fusionada a la pared lateral exterior del recipiente por medio de un proceso de Etiquetado en Molde (IML), tal como el que se describe en la patente EP 481 090.
Cuando se termosella una tapa de este tipo a un recipiente, a veces se presenta el problema de que no se establece localmente el sellado. Esto se ilustra en las figuras 2a y 2b, en las que el número de referencia 9 indica una barra de calentamiento / soldadura aplicada a una temperatura elevada T a la tapa 3', con el fin de fusionar la tapa 3' y el recipiente 2' una al otro, a lo largo de una región de borde periférico 4' de la tapa 3' a lo largo el reborde 6' del recipiente. Cuando se aplica la barra de soldadura calentada 9 contra la tapa 3', el material plástico de la tapa 3' puede ser desplazado localmente de tal manera que ninguna porción de la tapa 3' se sella al reborde 6' en puntos a lo largo del reborde 6' , como se muestra en la figura 2b. Por lo tanto, existe el riesgo potencial de que el aire o los contaminantes puedan entrar en el envase 1' , lo que reduce consecuentemente la vida útil de cualquier producto contenido en el mismo. Las figuras 2a y 2b muestran la tapa 3' que incluye una etiqueta 10' que define una primera porción de la tapa 3' y que está fusionada a la región media de una segunda porción inferior 20' de la tapa 3, tal como por medio del proceso IML que se describe en la patente FR 2 700 493.
Con el objetivo de resolver el problema anterior, de acuerdo con la invención la tapa 3 se forma como se muestra en la vista ampliada de la figura 3, en la que una primera porción 10 de la tapa 3 proporcionada originalmente en forma de una película es enteriza, y cubre una segunda porción inferior 20 de la tapa 3 al menos a lo largo de la región de borde periférico 4, en la que la porción inferior 20 de la tapa 3 se fusiona con el reborde 6 del recipiente 2. dimensionalmente estable 12 de un material plástico que se selecciona de tal manera que esta capa permanece dimensionalmente estable a la temperatura de termosellado T de la barra de calentamiento / soldadura 9 .
Cuando se sella la tapa 3 al recipiente 2, la temperatura T de la barra de calentamiento / soldadura 9 se selecciona para que se encuentre entre la temperatura de fusión T1 del material plástico de la segunda porción 20 y el punto de fusión T2 de la capa 12. A modo de ejemplo, el material de la segunda porción 20 puede ser PP (polipropileno) que tiene un punto de fusión T1 de aproximadamente 166°C mientras que la capa dimensionalmente estable 12 puede ser de PET (tereftalato de polietileno) que tiene un punto de fusión T2 superior a 250°C. La temperatura T de la barra de calentamiento / soldadura 9 puede ser seleccionada para que sea de aproximadamente 200°C.
Cuando se selecciona la temperatura T como se ha descrito más arriba, la capa 12 seguirá siendo dimensionalmente estable durante el termosellado y de esta manera define una base estable o respaldo para el material de la segunda porción 20 en la región de borde 4 que se ha mencionado más arriba. Se ha encontrado que esto impide o reduce el riesgo de que el material de la segunda porción 20 se desplace separándose. Este efecto se ilustra en la figura 4b; el material plástico 30 de la segunda porción 20 a lo largo del borde periférico 4 es calentado hasta su punto de fusión de tal manera que la tapa 3 se fusiona con el reborde 6 del recipiente 2. Con la capa dimensionalmente estable 12 que permanece como un respaldo para que el material 30 se adhiera, el riesgo de que el material plástico 30 se desplace separándose se reduce significativamente.
La segunda porción 20 de la tapa puede definir la superficie inferior de la tapa, o bien la segunda porción puede ser una estructura anular o en forma de rejilla, como se muestra en la figura 5 de la patente FR 2 700 493, con lo cual la primera porción define la superficie inferior de la tapa 3.
La primera porción 10 de la tapa puede incluir adicionalmente una capa de barrera 14 para el control de la permeabilidad al aire de la tapa 3 y preferiblemente está hecha de un material seleccionado del grupo de SiOx y PVDc. La capa dimensionalmente estable 12 puede ser convenientemente una capa de poliamida o PET que cumple los criterios de selección cuando el material plástico de la segunda porción 20 es polipropileno PP. Además, la primera porción 10 puede incluir una capa 16, tal como una capa de polipropileno, de un material similar o idéntico al de la segunda porción 20 y que está fusionado a la segunda porción 20 cuando se fabrica la tapa, tal como por medio de un proceso IML, en el que la primera porción 10 se inserta en el interior del molde de inyección después de lo cual se inyecta material plástico, moldeando así la segunda porción 20 y formando la conexión enteriza entre las porciones primera y segunda. Preferiblemente, la segunda porción 20 está hecha de polipropileno, opcionalmente de un material de polipropileno que contiene aditivos para el control de la resistencia del termosellado, como se ha explicado en la solicitud de patente WO 2007 071252. La tapa 3 puede incluir a lo largo de la región de borde periférico 4 un rebaje 16 para recibir la herramienta de soldadura 9; con el fin de definir este rebaje, la segunda porción 20 puede tener un grosor reducido a lo largo de la región periférica 4.
La primera porción en forma de película 10 que se muestra en la vista a escala ampliada de la figura 3 se puede proporcionarse como una malla continua que se corta en la forma deseada y se inserta en el molde en un proceso IML.

Claims (12)

  1. REIVINDICACIONES
    1. Un envase (1) que comprende un recipiente de material plástico moldeado por inyección (2), tal como un recipiente de polipropileno, y una tapa (3), comprendiendo la citada tapa (3):
    una primera porción (10) en forma de una película de material plástico conectada enterizamente a la 5 segunda porción (20) moldeada por inyección de un material plástico que tiene un punto de fusión T1,
    estando adaptada la citada segunda porción (20) para ser termosellada a un reborde (6) del citado recipiente (2) calentando el material de plástico (30) de la citada segunda porción (20) en una región de borde periférico (4) de la citada tapa (3) a una temperatura de termosellado T,
    que se caracteriza por que la citada primera porción (10) cubre la citada segunda porción (20) al menos a lo
    10 largo de la citada región de borde periférico (4), incluyendo la citada primera porción (10) a lo largo de la citada región de borde periférico (4) una capa (12) de un material plástico que tiene un punto de fusión T2 más alto que el citado punto de fusión T1 del material plástico de la citada segunda porción (20) y que permanece estable dimensionalmente a la temperatura T, en el que el citado material plástico de la citada segunda porción (20) es adecuado para el citado termosellado.

El envase de la reivindicación 1, definiendo la citada segunda porción (20) la superficie de la citada tapa (3) que está orientada hacia el interior del citado recipiente (2), cubriendo la citada primera porción (10) la totalidad o esencialmente la totalidad de la citada segunda porción (20) .
  2. 3. El envase de la reivindicación 1, siendo la citada segunda porción (20) un cuerpo anular, extendiéndose la
    citada primera porción (10) a través del citado cuerpo anular y definiendo también una superficie de la citada 20 tapa que está orientada hacia el interior del citado recipiente (2).
  3. 4. El envase de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, portando la citada primera porción (10) marcas de referencia relativas al contenido del citado recipiente (2), siendo visibles las citadas marcas de referencia cuando la citada tapa (3) está sellada al citado recipiente (2).
  4. 5. El envase de acuerdo con la reivindicación 4, estando impresas la citadas marcas de referencia sobre la citada 25 primera porción (10) antes de conectar la citada primera porción (10) a la citada segunda porción (20).
  5. 6. El envase de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, incluyendo la citada segunda porción
    (20) y el citado recipiente (2) medios (100) para aplicarse mecánicamente una al otro para asegurar la citada tapa (3) al citado recipiente (2).
  6. 7. El envase de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, siendo la citada capa (12) una capa de 30 material de poliamida o PET.
  7. 8. El envase de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, incluyendo la citada primera porción
    (10) una capa de barrera (14) para controlar la permeabilidad al aire de la citada tapa (3), estando fabricada preferiblemente la citada capa de barrera (14) de un material seleccionado del grupo de SiOx y PVDc.
  8. 9. El envase de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, incluyendo la citada primera porción
    35 (10) una capa adicional (16), tal como una capa de material de polipropileno, fusionado a la citada segunda porción (20) para definir la citada conexión enteriza.
  9. 10. El envase de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, estando fabricada la citada segunda porción (20) de polipropileno, opcionalmente, un material de polipropileno que contiene aditivos para controlar la resistencia del citado termosellado.

  10. 12. Una tapa para un recipiente de material plástico (2), comprendiendo la citada tapa (3):
    una primera porción (10) en forma de una película de material plástico y
    45 una segunda porción (20) de material plástico moldeado de inyección,
    estando adaptada la citada segunda porción (20) para ser termosellada a un reborde (6) del citado recipiente (2) calentando el material plástico de la citada segunda porción (20) en una región de borde periférico (4) de la citada tapa (3) a una temperatura de termosellado T, están fusionadas las citadas porciones primera (10) y segunda (20) una a la otra, tal como por medio de un proceso IML, definiendo la
