Abstract
Aparato para generar múltiples descripciones de datos comprimidos, que comprende: un módulo de transformada configurado para generar coeficientes de transformada a partir de datos de entrada; un módulo de cuantización acoplado con el módulo de transformada, estando el módulo de cuantización configurado para cuantizar los coeficientes de la transformada, utilizando una etapa de cuantización de referencia, y para recuantizar los coeficientes cuantizados de la transformada, utilizando distintas etapas de cuantización para generar múltiples descripciones de datos comprimidos, en el cual cada una de las distintas etapas de cuantización se determina basándose en un ajuste a escala necesario de la etapa de cuantización de referencia.
