Abstract
Procedimiento de fabricación, o de recarga, de preforma para fibra óptica en una instalación dotada de medios que permiten una rotación axial de una preforma (1¿) sostenida horizontalmente por los extremos entre dos puntos de montaje (3a, 3b) por dos boquillas de soporte (6a, 6b), y de las traslaciones relativas de la preforma sostenida, estando dotada dicha instalación de medios de calentamiento (5) de preforma por soplete de plasma dispuestos radialmente con respecto a dicha preforma y a los cuales se asocian medios de aportación de materia, para permitir una fabricación por pasadas sucesivas que corresponden a desplazamientos relativos preforma/soplete, con aportación de materia o sin ella, conduciendo los desplazamientos, en consecuencia, bien a un depósito de una nueva capa de materia sobre la preforma o bien a un vitrificado sobre la última capa depositada, estando caracterizado dicho procedimiento porque intercala al menos una reducción unilateral de longitud de capa, con ocasión de una pasada y a partir de una de las capas intermedias en el curso del depósito de una serie de capas concéntricas de materia sobre la preforma en el que las longitudes respectivas de las capas, determinadas por los desplazamientos relativos preforma/soplete, son reducidas en longitud progresivamente en virtud de una disminución progresiva de la longitud de los desplazamientos, de manera que el espesor de materia depositada, que cubre la preforma y parcialmente las boquillas, se reduce regularmente hacia los extremos, conduciendo dicha reducción unilateral de longitud de capa a una limitación del espesor de materia depositada sobre una de las boquillas y para una zona de preforma, limitada en longitud, que se une longitudinalmente a esta boquilla, al nivel fijado por la capa depositada previamente en esta reducción unilateral.
