DICHO PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN MEDIR LA VELOCIDAD DE CONVERSION DE UN SUSTRATO EXOGENO POR UNA ENZIMA, CUYA ACTIVIDAD ESTA RELACIONADA CON LA ACTIVIDAD ANTICOAGULANTE DE LA PROTEINA C, EN UNA MUESTRA SANGUINEA HUMANA QUE COMPRENDE FACTORES DE COAGULACION Y DICHO SUSTRATO EXOGENO, TRAS LA ACTIVACION AL MENOS PARCIAL DE LA COAGULACION, A TRAVES DE LA VIA INTRINSECA, EXTRINSECA O COMUN, Y LA INICIACION DE LA COAGULACION MEDIANTE LA ADICION DE IONES CALCIO.
