EN UN PRIMER METODO, SE INTRODUCE UN IMPULSO ENERGETICO EN EL MATERIAL METALICO, MEDIANTE POR EJEMPLO IMPACTANDO EL MATERIAL METALICO (20), Y SE DETECTA LA VIBRACION INDUCIDA Y SE ANALIZA PARA COMPUTAR EL FACTOR DE AMORTIGUACION DEL MISMO, ESTANDO ESTE DIRECTAMENTE RELACIONADO CON SU FATIGA. CON ESTE METODO, UN TRANSDUCTOR (28) VA UNIDO AL MATERIAL METALICO Y SU SALIDA ES AMPLIFICADA MEDIANTE UN AMPLIFICADOR (30) ANTES DE SER INTRODUCIDO EN UN ORDENADOR (22) QUE DETERMINA EL FACTOR AMORTIGUANTE.
