Abstract

The proposal is for a wiper blade which serves for cleaning windows/lens glasses on motor vehicles. The wiper blade comprises a multi-section supporting frame to which a driven wiper arm is coupled and which grasps, by means of pairs of claws arranged one behind another on frame parts, the spine of an elongate wiper strip which is made of elastic material and is positioned, by means of a wiper lip, on the window/lens glass to be wiped. The claws of each pair of claws reach into opposite longitudinal grooves arranged in the longitudinal sides of the spine and in that region of the spine which is engaged over by the pairs of claws there are arranged, in the longitudinal sides of said spine, longitudinal channels which lie opposite each other and in which elastic reinforcing rails lie, the length of which approximately corresponds to the length of the spine protruding by its ends out of the outer pairs of claws, and the wiper blade has retaining means which are secured on the wiper strip and secure, in the longitudinal direction, the reinforcing rails in the spine and the wiper strip in the pairs of claws. A particularly easy-to-assemble wiper blade results if each reinforcing rail is provided at one end with a retaining shoulder which interacts with a countershoulder which is arranged on the retaining means which can be attached on this end of the spine and is designed as a one-piece structural element, and if, furthermore, the structural element (lacuna) interacting with the supporting frame and the spine ...
