Definitions
- the invention relates to a corresponding rotary piston pump for conveying liquids according to the preamble of patent claim 7.
- Gear pumps are generally used to pump liquids. They are used, for example, in hydraulic machines or in the chemical industry to pump liquids. They are particularly suitable for this because they can not only generate high pressures, but also because they work very evenly.
- Simple gear pumps have a first gear that meshes with a second gear.
- the first gear is located on a drive shaft that is mounted in a closed housing.
- the drive shaft is driven by a motor, e.g. an electric motor.
- the second gear is accordingly arranged on a driven shaft, which is also mounted in the housing parallel to the drive shaft.
- the housing of the gear pump is closed off from the outside except for a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. Liquid is sucked in via the liquid inlet.
- the liquid is pumped with the teeth or in the spaces between the teeth of the conveyor gears in the direction of rotation to the liquid outlet of the pump housing.
- the teeth of the conveyor gears slide along a conveyor wall so that the pumped liquid cannot escape from the spaces between the teeth. This creates a negative pressure at the inlet and a positive pressure at the outlet. Due to their design, gear pumps operate largely pulsation-free and, above all, quietly.
- a hydrostatic pump or motor is known.
- the hydrostatic pump or motor is designed for a displacement device that generates or receives a periodic flow.
- the pump or motor is assigned means to compensate for the irregularity of the flow.
- a gear is connected to the drive of the pump or the output of the motor.
- the drive shaft of the hydrostatic pump has an uneven Angular velocity or the output shaft of the hydrostatic motor behind the gearbox has a uniform angular velocity.
- the gearbox is designed as a gear transmission, the gears of which are designed according to the general gearing law with a gearing of a fluctuating gear ratio so that the gear ratio fluctuates periodically with the tooth pitch by the reciprocal amount of the respective deviation from the mean value of the current flow rate of the pump or motor.
- the CN 108 869 27 A describes a high pressure gear pump with a surge tank.
- the gear component includes a drive shaft set in a pump housing assembly, the driven shaft being arranged between the two rear intermediate gear pairs which are located and arranged in front of the front intermediate gear pair.
- Side plates are arranged on the two gear pairs with two end faces.
- the subject matter is a dual pump with a long life.
- the high pressure gear pump provides a surge tank. When oil flows from a transition zone to the high pressure zone, the pressure at both ends of the side plates is equalized, the phenomenon of eccentric wear of the side plates is reduced, thus extending the life of the gear pump.
- the gear pump comprises a housing with a tubular central part, an inlet side cover part and a drive side cover part, each provided with flanges which are bolted together.
- the end cover parts can be sealed to the central part by gaskets.
- a pair of meshing gears with a primary pump and a second pair of meshing gears with a secondary pump are located in end recesses or gear chambers provided in the central part of the housing.
- the drive gears are mounted on the common drive shaft and the other gears on the idler shaft.
- the shafts are in the middle part of the housing with the bushings and supported in the end portions of the casing with the bushings.
- the fluid to be pumped enters the primary pump through an inlet and leaves it through an outlet.
- the portions of the inlet and outlet immediately adjacent to the impellers form the low pressure chamber and the high pressure chamber of the pump, respectively. These chambers are located on opposite sides of the point of engagement of the impellers and near their periphery.
- the fluid then enters the secondary pump through an inlet and leaves it through an outlet.
- the low pressure balancing chambers are connected by annular grooves or passageways. Counterbores are further arranged on opposite sides of the gears to compensate for any end thrust. Means are provided for radially balancing the gears of a pump, completely eliminating the problem of axial thrust on the gears.
- the ES 21 605 22 B1 describes a gear pump with double force compensation.
- the pump consists of a drive shaft and a driven shaft on which three separate pump bodies are mounted. Each of said bodies consists of a drive gear and a driven gear, each mounted on the drive shaft and the driven shaft.
- These three pump bodies comprise two pump elements, a central pump element and a lateral pump element formed by the two lateral pump bodies.
- the pump bodies are mounted in parallel.
- the device is used to renew liquids or gases between a high-pressure vessel and a low-pressure vessel.
- the two pump bodies are mounted in such a way that the inlet and outlet pressures of the central pump body and the lateral pump body have the same value but are reversed with respect to the pump body on which they act.
- the gear pump has a toothed drive wheel, a toothed driven wheel, a front flange from which a projecting part of the shaft protrudes, which is connected to the shaft of the drive wheel, a rear cover which is attached to the housing, and a Intermediate flange between the housing and the front flange.
- the intermediate flange has a first and a second chamber connected by a connecting channel to the inlet or outlet fluid channel of the pump.
- a balancing ring is mounted and inserted on the drive gear shaft to balance the axial forces of the drive gear and transmit the motion to the drive gear shaft.
- a piston is mounted which abuts against one end of the driven gear shaft to compensate the axial forces acting on the toothed driven gear.
- the first gear may include a concentrically disposed first hub portion and a plurality of first teeth projecting radially and spaced circumferentially around the first hub portion.
- a plurality of first recesses are defined by the first hub portion, communicate radially outwardly, and are circumferentially distributed around the first hub portion between adjacent teeth of the plurality of first teeth.
- a screw compressor is known. It comprises first and second male rotors having convex-helical teeth.
- the screw compressor has first and second female rotors having concave-helical teeth.
- Each of the first and second male rotors are rigidly connected to each other, each of the first and second female rotors being arranged separately and opposite each other.
- the convex-helical teeth engage with the corresponding concave-helical teeth.
- the first and second male rotors are symmetrical so that the axial force exerted on the first male rotor counteracts the axial force exerted on the second male rotor.
- the known gear pumps have the disadvantage that they wear out quickly when pumping liquids. The reason is often that the forces which act on the pump, especially at high pressure, are not evenly distributed. This wear occurs particularly when the pump does not run evenly or unevenly and the fluids involved are poor lubricators.
- the object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantages of the prior art and in particular to create a low-wear and low-maintenance feed pump with a long service life that also works with high pressures.
- Another object of the invention is that the feed pump avoids pulsing and delivers very evenly.
- the object is achieved in that in a gear pump for conveying liquids of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which e) a second housing chamber is provided in the housing in which a differential gear is provided.
- a rotary piston pump of the type mentioned above in which e) a second housing chamber is provided in the housing in which a differential gear is provided.
- the invention is based on the principle that the forces acting on the pump are better distributed across several components.
- the forces now act on both the gear pump or rotary piston pump and the differential. This ensures a much quieter, more even operation, which can be expected to have a longer service life than conventional gear pumps.
- the forces that occur are distributed across several components.
- Such a pump has the advantage of the differential that vibrations and thus accompanying pulsations of the pumped liquid are compensated. It is therefore also suitable for processes or applications in which sensitive membranes, particularly semi-permeable membranes, are used. These membranes tear easily if the pressures that occur are not uniform, e.g. due to slight pulsations. The higher the pressures, the more uniformly the pump should run.
- the gear pump or rotary piston pump according to the invention ensures extremely uniform, pulsation-free pumping. This is achieved in particular by the differential gear running in the same liquid that is to be pumped as the pump. At the very least, the differential gear can run in a liquid that has a comparable viscosity to the pump medium.
- the differential gear has a first and a second differential gear which are in engagement with one another, with the first differential gear being arranged on the drive shaft and the second differential gear being arranged on the output shaft.
- the differential gears preferably have the same dimensions, such as weight and diameter, as the gear pump. This measure allows a symmetrical arrangement which can compensate for disruptive forces on the pump gears accordingly.
- the disruptive forces are preferably divided up.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the gear pump according to the invention for pumping liquids consists in that an intermediate plate is provided between the first and second housing chambers of the housing. In order to avoid interference between the pump and the differential gear, the intermediate plate is provided between the housing chambers. This prevents, for example, turbulence in the differential gear from generating forces that act on the pump gears and have an adverse effect on operation.
- a third housing chamber is provided in the housing, in which the differential gear has a third and a fourth differential gear, which mesh with each other, the third differential gear being arranged on the drive shaft and the fourth differential gear being arranged on the output shaft.
- another assembly of the differential gear helps.
- the additional masses alone absorb additional forces, which allow the gear pump to operate even more evenly.
- the first housing chamber is then preferably arranged between the second and third housing chambers, since the geometric arrangement of the differential gear is also an influencing parameter for smooth operation.
- the housing chambers are tightly separated from one another so that different liquids can be provided in the housing chambers. This measure serves to ensure that different liquids can also be used in the housing. Different viscosities of the liquids, such as oil, can also be used to control the differential gear in relation to the pump medium.
- a horizontal section of a first embodiment of a gear pump 10 according to the invention is shown.

- the conveyor gear 20 is driven to rotate by the drive shaft 24 driven by the drive 32.
- the engagement of the first conveyor gear 20 in the second conveyor gear 22 causes the output shaft 24 to rotate in its bearings 28.
- the housing 12 there is an intermediate plate 36 which divides the housing 12 into two housing chambers 38, 40.
- the pumping conveyor gears 20, 22 are located in the first housing chamber 38.
- a differential gear 42 is arranged in the second housing chamber 40.

- the differential gear 42 comprises a pair of differential gears 44, 46 which have largely the same dimensions and toothing as the conveyor gear pair 20, 22 of the pump 34.
- the intermediate plate 36 has openings 48, 50 through which the drive shaft 14 and the output shaft 24 are guided.
- bearings 16 and 28 are provided to support the drive shaft 14 and the output shaft 24, respectively, and to reduce friction.
- a connecting channel 51 connects the second housing chamber 40 to the first housing chamber 38. In this way, a liquid to be pumped can pass from the second housing chamber 40 into the first housing chamber 38.
- differential gear 42 By using the differential gear 42 in the same housing 12, it is possible to ensure that the differential gear 42 runs in the same liquid as the pump 34. This distributes the forces that occur more evenly. Pulsations and vibrations are compensated by the differential gear 42. This reduces wear and increases the service life, especially in the case of extremely fast-running gear pumps 10. This makes it possible to achieve comparatively high pressures for such gear pumps 10.
- the compensating gears 44, 46 are attached to the drive shaft 14 and the output shaft 24.
- the compensating gear 44 is also actively driven by the drive shaft 14.
- the compensating gear 44 is in radial engagement with the compensating gear 46, which is attached to the output shaft 24, and drives it accordingly.
- the compensating gears 44, 46 each have radial play, which is indicated by the crossed rectangles 52, 54.
- Conveying walls 56, 58 are formed around the circumference of the conveying gears 20, 22 through the interior of the housing 12. The liquid to be conveyed is moved in the tooth spaces 60, 62 of gear teeth 64, 66 of the conveying gears 20, 22. The conveying walls 56, 58 prevent the liquid from escaping radially during conveying. Axial escape is prevented by the housing 12 or the intermediate plate 36.

- the liquid is first fed through the inlet 43 of the second housing chamber 40. From there it is sucked into the first housing chamber 38 via the connecting channel 51.
- the conveyor gears 20, 22 rotate with their shafts 14, 24 in their respective rotational directions 72, 74.
- the gear teeth 64, 66 engage tangentially with one another.
- the drive shaft 14 with the driven conveyor gear 20 arranged thereon drives the conveyor gear 22, which sits on the passive output shaft 24, in the opposite direction.
- the liquid to be pumped is sucked into the housing 12 in the suction direction 76 by a negative pressure that is created in the area of the liquid inlet 68.
- the liquid to be pumped is transported along the conveying walls 56, 58 in the spaces 60, 62 of the gear teeth 64, 66 to the liquid outlet 70. In the area of the liquid outlet 70, This creates an overpressure which pushes the liquid out of the liquid outlet 70 of the housing 12 in the outlet direction 78.

Simple gear pumps have a first gear that meshes with a second gear. The first gear is located on a drive shaft that is mounted in a closed housing. The drive shaft is driven by a motor, e.g. an electric motor. The second gear is accordingly arranged on a driven shaft, which is also mounted in the housing parallel to the drive shaft. The housing of the gear pump is closed off from the outside except for a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. Liquid is sucked in via the liquid inlet. The liquid is pumped with the teeth or in the spaces between the teeth of the conveyor gears in the direction of rotation to the liquid outlet of the pump housing. The teeth of the conveyor gears slide along a conveyor wall so that the pumped liquid cannot escape from the spaces between the teeth. This creates a negative pressure at the inlet and a positive pressure at the outlet. Due to their design, gear pumps operate largely pulsation-free and, above all, quietly.

The drive gears are mounted on the common drive shaft and the other gears on the idler shaft. The shafts are in the middle part of the housing with the bushings and supported in the end portions of the casing with the bushings. The fluid to be pumped enters the primary pump through an inlet and leaves it through an outlet. The portions of the inlet and outlet immediately adjacent to the impellers form the low pressure chamber and the high pressure chamber of the pump, respectively. These chambers are located on opposite sides of the point of engagement of the impellers and near their periphery. The fluid then enters the secondary pump through an inlet and leaves it through an outlet. The low pressure balancing chambers are connected by annular grooves or passageways. Counterbores are further arranged on opposite sides of the gears to compensate for any end thrust. Means are provided for radially balancing the gears of a pump, completely eliminating the problem of axial thrust on the gears.

The known gear pumps have the disadvantage that they wear out quickly when pumping liquids. The reason is often that the forces which act on the pump, especially at high pressure, are not evenly distributed. This wear occurs particularly when the pump does not run evenly or unevenly and the fluids involved are poor lubricators.
The object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantages of the prior art and in particular to create a low-wear and low-maintenance feed pump with a long service life that also works with high pressures. Another object of the invention is that the feed pump avoids pulsing and delivers very evenly.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that in a gear pump for conveying liquids of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which
e) a second housing chamber is provided in the housing in which a differential gear is provided.
Furthermore, the task is solved by a rotary piston pump of the type mentioned above, in which
e) a second housing chamber is provided in the housing in which a differential gear is provided.
The invention is based on the principle that the forces acting on the pump are better distributed across several components. The forces now act on both the gear pump or rotary piston pump and the differential. This ensures a much quieter, more even operation, which can be expected to have a longer service life than conventional gear pumps. The forces that occur are distributed across several components. Such a pump has the advantage of the differential that vibrations and thus accompanying pulsations of the pumped liquid are compensated. It is therefore also suitable for processes or applications in which sensitive membranes, particularly semi-permeable membranes, are used. These membranes tear easily if the pressures that occur are not uniform, e.g. due to slight pulsations. The higher the pressures, the more uniformly the pump should run. The gear pump or rotary piston pump according to the invention, with the differential gear, ensures extremely uniform, pulsation-free pumping. This is achieved in particular by the differential gear running in the same liquid that is to be pumped as the pump. At the very least, the differential gear can run in a liquid that has a comparable viscosity to the pump medium.
It has proven to be an advantageous embodiment of the gear pump according to the invention if the differential gear has a first and a second differential gear which are in engagement with one another, with the first differential gear being arranged on the drive shaft and the second differential gear being arranged on the output shaft. The differential gears preferably have the same dimensions, such as weight and diameter, as the gear pump. This measure allows a symmetrical arrangement which can compensate for disruptive forces on the pump gears accordingly. Here, the disruptive forces are preferably divided up.
A further advantageous embodiment of the gear pump according to the invention for pumping liquids consists in that an intermediate plate is provided between the first and second housing chambers of the housing. In order to avoid interference between the pump and the differential gear, the intermediate plate is provided between the housing chambers. This prevents, for example, turbulence in the differential gear from generating forces that act on the pump gears and have an adverse effect on operation.
Vorzugsweise ist dann die erste Gehäusekammer zwischen der zweiten und dritten Gehäusekammer angeordnet ist, da die geometrische Anordnung des Ausgleichgetriebes ebenfalls ein beeinflussender Parameter für einen ruhigen BetriebIn a preferred embodiment of the gear pump according to the invention, a third housing chamber is provided in the housing, in which the differential gear has a third and a fourth differential gear, which mesh with each other, the third differential gear being arranged on the drive shaft and the fourth differential gear being arranged on the output shaft. In order to further compensate for the forces occurring in the housing, another assembly of the differential gear helps. The additional masses alone absorb additional forces, which allow the gear pump to operate even more evenly. The first housing chamber is then preferably arranged between the second and third housing chambers, since the geometric arrangement of the differential gear is also an influencing parameter for smooth operation.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the gear pump according to the invention, the housing chambers are tightly separated from one another so that different liquids can be provided in the housing chambers. This measure serves to ensure that different liquids can also be used in the housing. Different viscosities of the liquids, such as oil, can also be used to control the differential gear in relation to the pump medium.
