Definitions

  • the invention relates to a furniture hinge with a base element on the carcass side and a hinge cup which is pivotable relative to this base element and which can be fastened to a movable furniture part, the base element and the hinge cup being connected to one another via a lever mechanism.
  • the invention also relates to a furniture board and a furniture body with such a furniture hinge.
  • Furniture hinges are used in order to be able to move movable furniture parts relative to a fixed furniture body, in particular to be able to pivot them.
  • Furniture for example kitchen furniture, often has a number of doors arranged next to one another. When opening a furniture door arranged in this way, the door must not collide with the adjacent doors, even if the gap between the doors is small. In principle, this can be achieved via an external single-pivot hinge. More often, a multi-joint hinge that is not visible from the outside is used, which is placed with a base housing using a mounting plate on the inside of a side plate of the body and carries the door with a mounting element that can be moved relative thereto. Hinge cups that can be lowered into the material of the door have established themselves as assembly elements.
  • the required sequence of movements of the hinge cup relative to the base element in a multi-joint hinge is generally achieved via a lever system with a plurality of levers which are connected to one another in an articulated manner.
  • the reference describes EP 0 791 711 B1 a wide-angle hinge in which at least one of the linkages is rotatably mounted off-center on a gear meshed with a rack. The toothed rack and the gear wheel engaging in it are arranged in the base body of the hinge. In this way, the lever can be moved axially out of the base body, as a result of which a particularly large opening angle of the hinge can be achieved.
  • the publication shows a comparable arrangement DE 3807729 A1 .
  • hinges are also known in which the base body is made so narrow in at least one direction that it can be let into a milled pocket in a structural panel of the furniture body.
  • An example is in the publication DE 20 2015 100 934 U1 described.
  • a swivel arm that carries the movable furniture part moves out of the base body.
  • the base body is designed in the form of a case and extends in a horizontal plane. Consequently, it cannot be inserted into a side panel of the furniture body, but only into a top or bottom panel. Accordingly, only two hinges arranged in the area of the body corners can be used for a door.
  • a furniture hinge according to the invention of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized in that the lever mechanism comprises at least two pivotable levers which are each mounted on the hinge cup so that they can pivot about an axis which is oriented perpendicularly to a pivot axis of the hinge cup and which are each provided with toothing , which engages in another toothing, which is arranged in the hinge cup.
  • the interlocking teeth of the lever and hinge cup ensure that a pivoting movement of the hinge cup when moving the connected furniture part, e.g. a furniture door, leads to a pivoting movement of the lever that can easily be converted into a linear movement.
  • a pivoting movement of the hinge cup and thus of the furniture door is accompanied by a linear movement.
  • the combined linear and pivoting movement of the hinge cup allows it to be used with adjacent furniture doors with a small gap, since the guided furniture door is lifted off the body when opened and is thus in front of the adjacent door when it is pivoted open so far that its edge extends over the surface the neighboring door moved.
  • lever system with horizontal joint axes leads to a laterally very slender construction, which is correspondingly in a flat Basic element can be arranged. None of the levers pivots about a vertical pivot axis, which would result in an increased space requirement in the lateral direction.
  • the toothing of each lever is formed by a bevel gear, which is arranged on the pivot axis of the lever.
  • the bevel gears can be made very flat and also allow different pivot axes to be arranged at an angle to one another.
  • the toothing formed in the hinge cup is formed as a segment of a bevel gear.
  • each lever is in turn mounted pivotably on the hinge cup.
  • the hinge cup can be pivoted during the opening or closing movement.
  • the pivot axes of the at least two levers can be formed, for example, by the legs of a U-shaped bearing bracket, which is preferably rotatably attached to the hinge cup with a base in a region between the two legs.
  • the at least two levers are coupled via the teeth in such a way that they execute a mirror-inverted, synchronous pivoting movement. Stable guidance is achieved in this way.
  • the lever mechanism preferably has at least two further levers which are pivotably articulated on the base element, preferably mounted about a pivot axis which is aligned perpendicularly to the pivot axis of the hinge cup.
  • the at least two other levers can each also be provided with teeth and engage in one another in such a way that they carry out a mirror-inverted synchronous pivoting movement.
  • This toothing is preferably formed by a cylindrical gear which is arranged on the pivot axis of the further lever.
  • one lever and one further lever are connected to one another in an articulated manner at the ends, with a distance between the pivot axes of the at least two further levers is equal to a distance between the pivot axes of the at least two levers.
  • a linear guide based on pivoting movements is implemented, which can be constructed in a particularly space-saving manner.
  • the hinge has a damping device for damping a closing and/or opening movement, the damping device being designed as a linear damper or rotary damper.
  • the damping device is at least temporarily coupled to at least one lever of the lever system or is at least temporarily connected to teeth of at least one lever of the lever system and/or the hinge cup in order to brake the opening or closing movement.
  • a furniture panel according to the invention with an integrated or inserted furniture hinge of the type described above is characterized in that the pivot axes of the lever system and the pivot axes of the hinge cup lie between two parallel planes of the furniture panel over the entire range of movement of the movable furniture part, the distance between the planes being one width corresponds to an end face of the furniture board.
  • the lever mechanism of the hinge can move completely into a recess in the furniture panel, in which the base body of the furniture hinge is inserted.
  • a door guided by the furniture hinge does not collide with an adjacent door or furniture front.
  • a furniture body according to the invention has such a furniture panel with an integrated or inserted furniture hinge of the type described above.
  • the advantages mentioned in connection with the furniture panel and the furniture hinge result.
  • Fig. 1a shows first in an isometric view an embodiment of a furniture hinge in an assembled state in a middle open position.
  • Middle open position means that a furniture part guided by the furniture hinge, in particular a furniture door, is in an angular range that lies between a closed state, in which the free edge of the door rests against the body of the furniture, and an open position, in which the door has an opening angle of, for example, 90° compared to the closed position.
  • the furniture hinge has a base element 10 which is connected to a hinge cup 20 via a lever system.
  • the lever mechanism comprises two levers 40 articulated on the hinge cup 20 and two further levers 30 articulated on the base element 10.
  • the basic element 10 is approximately cuboid or case-shaped and has two parallel side plates 11 which are connected at their side edges via rounded transverse sides 13 . In the installed position of the furniture hinge, these transverse sides 13 are at the top or bottom. In the installation position to the front (in the Fig. 1a to the right side) the basic element 10 is open, whereas to the rear side (in the 1 not visible) preferably a back 14 closes the base element 10. This back 14 is for example in the Figure 2a and 2 B , showing isometric exploded views of the furniture hinge, clearly visible.
  • the case-shaped basic element 10 provides a cavity 15 in which a part of the hinge mechanism explained below is arranged.
  • the side panels 11 are preferably only spaced far enough from one another that the base element 10 can be pushed into a pocket-shaped milled front end in a side panel of a furniture body.
  • the pocket which is preferably milled from the end face, has a shape due to the tool that corresponds to the outer contours of the base element 10 .
  • This basic element 10 can thus be flush on all sides and thus well anchored in the side panel of the furniture body and inserted there z. B. glued and / or with the help of screws that are screwed through the back 14 in the material of the side panel of the furniture body.
  • the base element 10 can, for example, be produced rolled from appropriately stamped sheet metal.
  • Bores 12 are arranged in both side plates 11 of the base element 10 in the front central region, which receive a bearing pin (not shown here) and thus serve as bearing points.
  • the bearing bolts lead through the two further levers 3, which are thus pivotally mounted in the base element 10 so as to be rotatable about a horizontal axis (in the installation position of the furniture hinge).
  • the other levers 30 are good in the Figure 2a and 2 B to recognize. They each comprise a lever arm 31 which has a hinge bore 32 at a free end. A gear wheel 33 is coupled to the lever arm 31 in a rotationally fixed manner at the opposite end. In the illustrated embodiment, this is the Lever 31 is slightly cranked and enlarged like a plate at its free end. The gear wheel 33 is placed on this plate. It is noted that in alternative embodiments a set of teeth, presently provided by gear 33, may also be formed integrally with lever arm 31. Another joint bore 34 runs centrally through the toothed wheel 33.
  • the further levers 30 are rotatably mounted on the bearing bolts, which are guided through the side plates 11, with these further joint bores 34.
  • the distance between the bores 12 in the side plates 11 is selected such that the two gears 33 of the other levers engage with one another, as a result of which the other levers 30 execute a coordinated pivoting movement that is a mirror image of a central axis of the base element 10 .
  • the free ends of the further levers 30 are coupled to comparable free ends of the levers 40 in the further pivot bores 32 .
  • These levers 40 are mounted in the hinge pot 20 at their respective further ends.
  • the arrangement and storage of the lever 40 in the hinge pot 20 is good in the Figures 1b and 1c can be seen, which shows an isometric view or a plan view of the hinge cup 20 with the levers 40 used separately from the base element 10 and the other levers 30 .
  • the hinge cup 20 has a base 21 and an edge 22 and is used in a known manner in a cup hole bore of the furniture door to be guided. It can be glued there or fastening elements can be formed along the edge 22 with which the hinge cup 20 is clamped, latched and/or clamped in the cup hole bore.
  • lever 40 is in turn in the Figure 2a and 2 B clearly visible. They are constructed in a similar way to the other levers 30 and have a lever arm 41 with a hinge bore 42 at one end and teeth at the opposite end.
  • the gearing is formed here by an attached bevel gear 43 .
  • Another joint bore 44 leads again centrally through the bevel gear 43.
  • the two levers 40 are rotatably mounted in the hinge cup 20 by being fitted with their other joint bores onto the legs 62 of a bearing bracket 60 .
  • the bearing bracket 60 in turn is fixed with a base 61 pivotable about this base 61 in the hinge pot 20 .
  • a bracket attachment 23 is formed at the edge 22 into which the bearing bracket 60 is inserted.
  • the two legs 62 of the bearing bracket 60 thus in turn form pivotable axes about which the lever 40 can be pivoted.
  • the alignment of the legs 62 and thus the bearing or rotation axes of the lever 40 is parallel to the bottom 21 of the hinge cup in the closed position of the furniture hinge.
  • the hinge cup 20 is formed from sheet metal in a stamping and bending process.
  • the bracket attachment 23 can be punched out of the edge 22 in a simple manner and turned inwards.
  • the hinge cup 20 is thus formed in one piece, including the bracket attachment 23 .
  • the hinge cup 20 can also be made of plastic in an injection molding process, preferably likewise in one piece.
  • the hinge cup 20 has a set of teeth 51 in the area of the bracket attachment 23 which meshes with the bevel gears 43 of both second levers 40 .

  • the set of teeth 51 has two sections of a bevel gear that face away from one another and an insertion lug 52 adjoining it, which is inserted into a corresponding recess in the area of the bracket attachment 23 and fixes the toothed insert 50 on the hinge cup 20 .
  • the teeth 51 can also be formed directly on the hinge cup 20 .
  • the two levers 40 are coupled to one another via the toothing 51 of the toothed insert 50 in such a way that, like the other levers 30, they can only execute synchronous pivoting movements in a mirror-inverted manner with respect to a vertical central plane.
  • the bevel gears 43 roll on the teeth 51, as a result of which the hinge cup 20 pivots about the base 61 of the bearing bracket 60 relative to the plane in which the levers 40 lie.
  • Figures 3a and 3b show the assembled furniture hinge in two isometric views from different viewing directions, with the basic element 10 only being shown in half for a better overview.
  • the furniture hinge is initially shown in the closed state, i.e. with the furniture door in contact.
  • the hinge cup 20 rests with its edge 22 on the base element 10 .
  • the other levers 30 are pivoted completely into the cavity 15 of the base element.
  • FIG 4a also shows the closed state of the furniture hinge, with the hinge cup 20 also being shown in half in this illustration.

  • This in turn kinematically causes the lever mechanism to stretch, with the bearing bracket 60 and thus the hinge cup 20 moving linearly away from the base element 10 .
  • FIG 4b the opening state of the furniture hinge is shown, for example at an opening angle of 90° compared to the closed position.
  • the interconnected further levers 30 and the lever 40 form a stretched arrangement in pairs, correspondingly the hinge cup 20 and the furniture door held by it are moved linearly from the side panel of the body in the direction of the room.
  • the furniture hinge shown thus performs a combined pivoting movement of the hinge cup 20 with a linear movement.
  • the corresponding furniture door is moved by the linear movement in such a way that its side edge moved from the user's line of sight in front of the front of an adjacent furniture door, so that both doors do not collide when opening.
  • Figures 5a and 5b show the furniture hinge in a side view looking at the transverse sides 13 of the base element 10.
