Definitions

  • the invention relates to a protection against accidental contact made up of several parts for an electrical connection device.
  • busbars are installed in electric vehicles, for example, which have a high current-carrying capacity with even current distribution in the conductor. Busbars are therefore preferably installed, provided the components to be connected do not move relative to each other.
  • a contact is welded to an end of the wire to be connected.
  • the conductor of the wire is welded to a connection portion of the contact.
  • the contact is provided with fastening means in a fastening area, by means of which the contact is connected to a busbar or to a transfer point of an electrical device.
  • the electrical device can be a battery, in particular a high-voltage battery in an electric vehicle, or an electrical consumer, for example.
  • Fastening means are formed in the simplest case by a through hole for a fastening screw that clamps the contact on the busbar or on a transfer point.
  • the geometric arrangement of the fastening area relative to the connection area defines an outlet direction of the electrical line in the installed position. Previously, different contacts were required for different outlet directions of an electrical line.
  • the JP H08 96863 A discloses a protection against accidental contact for an electrical connection device.
  • the protection against accidental contact has an angled housing that specifies a fixed angle for the outgoing direction of a cable.
  • the housing is fitted with a film hinge 4 ( figure 2 ) hinged lid 2 provided.
  • the protection against accidental contact cannot be adapted to different outlet directions of an electrical cable.
  • the EP 2 400 593 A1 also describes protection against accidental contact for a connection device.
  • the protection against accidental contact has a multi-part housing through which a cable is routed.
  • the line 60 is screwed to a connection bolt with a connecting piece.
  • the protection against accidental contact has a multi-part housing that only provides a single outlet direction for the cable.
  • the WO 2005/112201 A1 shows a connector with a housing and a cover, each having a flap in the open position terminal ends of the contacts for attaching the cable are freely accessible. With the plug-in connection, only one outgoing direction of the cable is provided.
  • the EP 0 765 005 A2 describes a touch protection for a battery connection.
  • the housing of the protection against accidental contact is elongated and multi-part.
  • the housing has an internal space for accommodating the battery connection, which space extends in a longitudinal direction.
  • the U.S. 7,220,137 B1 discloses a junction box whose junction boxes can be closed with a pivoting cover.
  • the present invention has the task of creating a protection against accidental contact that can be used universally for different outgoing directions.
  • the invention proposes, according to a first aspect, a protection against accidental contact made up of several parts for an electrical connection device.
  • the protection against accidental contact has a lower part, a fixed upper part and a pivotable upper part made of an electrically non-conductive material, which jointly protect live parts of the electrical connection device from being touched.
  • the pivotable upper part has a cover and an outlet duct for an electrical line, so that the cover of the pivotable upper part can be optionally oriented in a large angular range and adapted to the outlet direction of the line.
  • the electrical connection device comprises a connection or connection contact of an electrical device, for example a battery or an electrical device, and a contact which is connected to the connection.
  • the connection between terminal and contact is made with a clamping screw, for example.
  • An electrical line is connected to the contact and leaves the contact in a specific outgoing direction.
  • the swiveling upper part of the protection against accidental contact allows the protection against accidental contact to be adapted to different outlet directions over a wide angle range.
  • a particular advantage here is that protection against accidental contact can be implemented for different outlet directions with the same parts.
  • the protection against accidental contact protects the live metal parts of the connection device against the ingress of dirt and moisture and thus against corrosion.
  • the outgoing duct covers the stripped areas of the connected electrical cable, so that effective protection against accidental contact is also ensured in this area.
  • the base and fixed top are mechanically connectable.
  • the mechanical connection between the lower part and the fixed upper part can be produced, for example, by a snap and/or latching connection.
  • Such a connection is easy to assemble without the need for special tools. A worker can establish the connection during assembly, for example by pressing the fixed upper part onto the lower part until the snap-in or snap-in connection engages.
  • the pivotable upper part is pivotably mounted between the lower part and the fixed upper part.
  • the base may have a mounting portion adapted to receive the terminal to be connected.
  • a through-opening is provided, through which the connection can be accommodated in the fastening section of the lower part.
  • the dimensions of the through-opening and the cross-section of the through-opening are adapted to the respective connection to be connected.
  • corresponding latching means are provided on the lower part and the fixed upper part, which cooperate with one another to produce a mechanical connection between the lower part and the fixed upper part. Snap-in connections are easy to assemble and still ensure sufficient mechanical stability between the connected parts.
  • Holding means can advantageously be provided on the lower part and the fixed upper part, which hold the pivotable upper part in a form-fitting and pivotable manner.
  • a secure hold of the swiveling upper part improves the protection against accidental contact itself, but at the same time also protects against the ingress of dirt and moisture to the live metal parts.

  • the fastening section 102 has a tubular attachment 106 which accommodates a connection of an electrical device, for example a connection bolt of a high-voltage battery in an electric vehicle.
  • the tubular extension 106 has a round cross-section.
  • the dimensions and the cross-sectional shape of the tubular attachment 106 are selected in such a way that it accommodates the connection of the electrical device with little play.
  • the cross section of the tubular attachment 106 can therefore also have the shape of a polygon.
  • a cylinder 107 is arranged opposite the tubular projection 106 and has a radially inwardly directed flange 108 on its free end face.
  • An inner edge 109 of flange 108 defines an access opening 111 which allows access to a fastening screw 112 .
  • the electrical connection device 100 is mounted with the fastening screw 112 . After the connection device 100 has been installed, the access opening 111 is closed with an in figure 1 lid, not shown, tightly closed.
