Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for compensating for a loss of tractive power in a rail vehicle, preferably a freight locomotive, in a rail curve, in particular when the rail vehicle starts up and / or in particular on an incline.
- a transferable mechanical friction between a driven rail wheel of a rail vehicle (railway vehicle, motor vehicle, locomotive, powered end car, motor vehicle, self-propelled special vehicle for railway operations, etc.) and a relevant rail may be drastically reduced. Any mechanical drive power available from the rail vehicle can no longer be fully transmitted and drive control / regulation must prevent the wheels from spinning by reducing a tractive force (loss of tractive force).
- the rail vehicle starts up in a slipping mode of the drive of the rail vehicle.
- slip mode a further loss of tractive power in the order of magnitude of approx. 10% is observed when the rail vehicle is in a curve (loss of tractive power in the curve) and especially when the rail vehicle starts in a curve from a standstill.
- This loss of tractive power tends to increase with a decreasing curve radius.
- the transmittable mechanical friction can depend on the steepness of a slope.
- comparatively unfavorable (in the sense of bad) friction conditions between a rail of the rail arch and at least one driven rail wheel of the rail vehicle are changed into comparatively favorable (in the sense of good) friction conditions by actively steering the rail wheel on the rail.
- the driven rail wheel can be part of at least one driven wheel set of the rail vehicle, the comparatively unfavorable friction conditions between the rail arch or the rail arches and the at least driven wheel set being changed to comparatively favorable friction conditions by actively steering the at least one wheel set on the rail arch or the rail arches become.
- Comparatively favorable friction conditions can be understood to mean a more favorable basic friction ratio, a more favorable contact geometry (depending on a contact point position), etc. (see also below).
- a radial position of one or a plurality of axles of the rail vehicle does not automatically lead to an increase in tractive force, but rather to an improvement in a contact point position of the driven rail wheel on the rail arc concerned or an improvement in the contact point position of the driven wheel set on the rail arcs (see also below). According to the invention, this leads to an overall more favorable friction ratio.
- the at least one rail wheel in particular the at least one wheel set, can be actively steered hydraulically, pneumatically, mechanically, electrically and / or electromechanically; can be adjusted axially and / or radially; and / or can be pivoted about a pivot center.
- the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least a wheel set actively steered in such a way that a contact area between the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, and a relevant rail in the rail curve lies in an area in which a comparatively favorable or more favorable basic friction ratio and / or a comparatively favorable one or more favorable contact geometry are present.
- the at least one rail wheel in particular the at least one wheel set, can be actively steered in such a way that a coefficient of friction in the contact area increases; the contact area is established on a running area of the rail in question; the contact area migrates in the direction of a transverse center of the rail in question; the contact area is located essentially in a transverse center of the rail in question; there is a smaller surface pressure in the contact area; and / or the contact area is enlarged.
- the at least one sub-radial rail wheel in particular the at least one sub-radial wheel set, can be articulated in such a way that the rail vehicle is at least partially offset radially outward.
- a rail wheel approaching the inside of the curve is preferably driven outwards by the active steering.
- the wheel axles are articulated in a sub-radial direction.
- the at least one over-radial rail wheel in particular the at least one over-radial wheel set, is articulated in such a way that the rail vehicle is at least partially displaced radially inward.
- These cases relate in particular to an elevated and possibly narrow track curve, with the contact areas coming back into the running area of the rail wheels on the rail according to the invention.
- the wheel axles are articulated over-radially, with the wheel axle then moving from the outside of the curve back onto the center of the rail.
- a leading rail wheel is essentially always sub-radial, as e.g. B. in a right-hand arc there is a run-up at the front left.
- a rolling radius is then larger than the inside of the curve due to a conical profile of the rail wheel, and since the rotational speeds of both rail wheels are the same due to a rigid wheel axle, the rail wheel on the outside of the curve tends to be braked, i.e. the wheel set on the outside of the curve is pushed backwards. The situation is different with a trailing wheel axle.
- the gauntlet is present, i.e.
- the rail wheel on the inside of the curve starts running, or the run-on also takes place on the outside rail wheel in larger arcs, the result is an either over- or under-radial setting. This depends on the curve radius, track elevation, driving speed, vehicle mass and coordination of the stiffness in an axle guide.
- the at least one rail wheel in particular the at least one wheel set
- the at least one rail wheel can be steered by at least one actuator between the running gear or the running gear frame and the rail wheel or the wheel set.
- the rail wheel or the wheel set can be rotated or pivoted on the rail or the track.
- the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set can be steered by an active hydraulic system or by an active pneumatic cylinder.
- the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set can be steered by an active hydraulic bushing or an active hydraulic cylinder.
- a curve radius can be estimated via curve detection, and / or a setpoint angle for the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least a wheelset, relative to the track, can be determined in advance by means of a simulation.
- a drive of the rail vehicle can operate in a slip mode, and / or the at least one actuator can be connected in series or in parallel with a wheel set longitudinal guide.
- a feature can be positive, ie present, or negative, ie absent, with a negative feature not being explicitly explained as a feature if not according to the invention it is important that it is absent.
- a feature of this specification (description, list of reference symbols, patent claims, drawing) can be used not only in a specified manner and / or manner, but also in a different manner and / or manner (isolation, combination, replacement, addition, isolation, omission, etc.) .).
- the invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments of embodiments of a variant of the method according to the invention for compensating for a loss of tractive power of a rail vehicle 2, preferably a freight locomotive 2, in a rail curve 1, in particular when the rail vehicle 2 starts up and / or in particular on an incline .
- the invention is not limited to such a variant, such embodiments and / or the exemplary embodiments explained below, but is of a more fundamental nature so that the invention can be applied to all methods for compensating for traction losses in a rail vehicle.
- the FIG 1 shows a chassis 20 according to the invention of a rail vehicle 2, in particular a freight locomotive 2, on which a car body (not shown) of the rail vehicle 2 can be resiliently supported so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis (z).
- the running gear 20 has a running gear frame 2, which is preferably supported on at least two sets of wheels 200, 200 opposite a track.
- Each wheel set 200, 200 has two rail wheels 210, 210, which are preferably mechanically rigidly connected by means of a wheel axle 202 mounted in two axle bearings 310, 310.
- For the horizontal guidance (x, y) of the wheel sets 200, 200 these are in each case on both sides of the chassis each articulated to the chassis frame 22 by means of wishbones 410, 410.
- one of the four wishbones 410 is articulated to a single axle bearing 310 by means of a single wheelset-side bearing 412 of the wishbone 410, and to the chassis frame 22 by means of two frame-side bearings 414, 414 of the wishbone 410.
- the respective wheel set-side bearing 412 has, for. B. a hydraulic socket (see. Below) with preferably constant transverse rigidity (y) and preferably variable longitudinal rigidity (x).
- the two respective frame-side bearings 414, 414 have z.
- B. elastomer bushings see. Below
- each wishbone 410 are arranged at the 'corners' of a horizontally (x, y) aligned, isosceles triangle, the tip section of which forms the bearing 412 on the wheel set side and the base section of the frame-side bearings 414, 414.
- at least one wheel set 200 preferably both wheel sets 200, 200, can be aligned radially or sub-radially (y) to form a track curve, which is shown in FIG FIG 1 is indicated by a dash-dot line.
- This alignment of the two wheel sets 200, 200 can take place according to the invention by active steering.
- the two-axle running gear 20 shown has a three-axle running gear (not shown) a third wheel set 200 which is positioned in the longitudinal direction between the two in FIG 1 wheel sets 200, 200 shown and connected to the chassis frame 22.
- a third wheel set 200 which is positioned in the longitudinal direction between the two in FIG 1 wheel sets 200, 200 shown and connected to the chassis frame 22.
- at least one wheel set 200 preferably both outer wheel sets 200, 200, can be aligned radially or sub-radially (y) to the curve of the track. This alignment of the two outer wheel sets 200, 200 can take place according to the invention by active steering.
- Both physical causes have an influence in particular on starting processes of the rail vehicle 2 in the curved track.
- the curved track is on with a cant a rail 10 on the outside of the curve.
- start-up processes that is to say at low speed or negative transverse acceleration, a relevant wheel set 200 slips or the relevant rail wheels 210, 210 slide a little on a rail 10 on the inside of the curve in the curved track.
- a contact area 90 between a relevant rail wheel 210 or wheel set 200 and a relevant rail 10 of the rail arch 1 migrates from the running area ( FIG 2 , left: straight line) in the direction of a flank ( FIG 2 , right: arc) of the rail 10.
- a contact area 90 which is closer to the relevant flank, is distinguished by a smaller radius of curvature of a wheel cross-sectional section and a smaller rail cross-sectional section. This results in a smaller contact area 90 ( FIG 2 , right) and with a substantially constant normal force to a higher surface pressure. Due to the inclination of the entire rail vehicle 2 towards the inside of the curve, a normal force on the rail wheel 210 on the inside of the curve is also increased, which further increases the surface pressure.
- the FIG 3 shows a simulation result of a driving axle traction curve when a goods train with a drive by a rail vehicle 2 enters from a flat straight line (I) into a flat transition track curve (II) into a flat 300 m track curve (III) at a speed of approx. 17 km / h (abscissa : Travel time t of rail vehicle 2 in [s], ordinate: sum of the tensile forces to be applied by rail vehicle 2 in [kN]).
- the simulation result shows a loss of tensile force, as arises based on the influence of geometry and surface pressure explained above.
- the rail vehicle 2 initially rolls off. After a few meters, the essentially maximum tensile force for the freight train must be applied, with a coefficient of friction being selected such that a maximum drive power of the rail vehicle 2 is not applied must, the drive goes into slip mode.
- a stationary tensile force to be applied by the rail vehicle 2 in the straight line (I) levels off at approx. 318 kN.
- transition track curve (II) is reached after about 30 seconds of travel time, taking into account the influence of the geometry, a reduction in friction begins, whereby in the 300m track curve (III) only about 290 kN of tensile force can be applied when stationary.
- the simulation shows the tractive force loss of approx. 10% observed during the operation of the rail vehicle 2.
- a different degree of contamination (also: wetness) of the track across a rail cross-section leads to comparable results as a second possible cause, if it is assumed that more contamination and thus less friction can be achieved at the rail edges due to the less frequent overrun (see above and FIG 2 right).
- the invention consists in compensating for the loss of tractive force of the rail vehicle 2 in the curved track, preferably with slip operation.
- at least one drivable rail wheel 210 in particular at least one drivable wheelset 200, is actively steered such that a contact area 90 between the relevant rail wheel 210 and the relevant rail 10 in a rail arc 1 is again in an area in which better basic friction conditions (comparatively higher Coefficient of friction) and / or a more favorable contact geometry etc., i.e. favorable friction conditions, are present.
- two cases can be distinguished. These cases are in turn dependent on an actually driven speed, a mass, a construction, etc. of the rail vehicle 2; a curve radius etc.
- a start-up case or a slow-moving case of the rail vehicle 2 in an elevated and possibly narrow track curve are z. B. both wheelsets 200, 200 of a bogie of the rail vehicle 2 subradial relative to the track.
- the two wheel sets 200, 200 are articulated in such a way that the two wheel sets 200, 200 or the bogie move a little upwards from a rail edge lying on the inside of the curve (cf. dash-dot line in FIG FIG 1 ).
- the contact areas 90 come back into the running areas of the rail wheels 210, 210 on the rails 10 or into the cross-sectional areas of the rails 10 that are frequently rolled over, and also into areas in which a contact geometry or surface pressure is more favorable for the coefficient of friction as a result. There are better friction conditions or a higher coefficient of friction than before.
- both wheel sets 200, 200 of the bogie are over-radial relative to the track.
- the two wheelsets 200, 200 are articulated in such a way that the two wheelsets 200, 200 or the bogie move back a little from a rail edge on the outside of the curve to the inside of the curve (see dash-dot line in FIG 1 ).
- the contact areas 90 come back into the running areas of the rail wheels 210, 210 on the rails 10 or into the cross-sectional areas of the rails 10 that are frequently rolled over.
- the FIG 4 shows a principle of such an active steering for a single rail wheel 210 or a single wheel set 200 with two rail wheels 210.
- the or a relevant actuator 100 can be designed as a mechanical and / or electrical (hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, piezoelectric, etc.) actuator 100.
- the actuator 100 can comprise an actuating element 110 or an actuator 110 and possibly a restoring element 120 or an actuator 120.
- the rail wheel 210 or the wheel set 200 can be rotated or pivoted on the rail 10 or the track.
- the at least one drivable rail wheel 210 or the at least one drivable wheelset 200 preferably at least a plurality of drivable rail wheels 210 or at least a plurality of drivable wheelsets 200, in particular all drivable rail wheels 210 or all drivable wheelsets 200 the rail vehicle 2 is actively steered, d. H. actively rotated or pivoted if necessary.
- z. B the relevant contact area 90 (cf. FIG 2 ) between a rail wheel 210 or a rail wheel 210 of a wheelset 200 and a relevant rail 10 of the
- the rail arc 1 is displaced in such a way that the contact area 90 is separated from a flank (cf. FIG 2 , right) in (cf. FIG 2 , Arrow) a walking area (cf. FIG 2 , left) migrates. This takes place, if necessary, by moving the rail vehicle 2 forwards or backwards (travel / start-up, if necessary on an incline).
- the rail wheel 210 or the wheel set 200 can be sub-radial, over-radial, on a dirty rail 10 in a rail arc 1 or a Stand track.
- Active steering of a single wheelset 200 is preferably carried out by means of two actuators 100, 100 (in the FIG 5 only a single actuator 100 is shown) between a bogie, a running gear 20 or a running gear frame 22 and a single wheel set 200.
- This can be done in embodiments with large steering forces or actuating forces required, preferably by hydraulics and with comparatively lower steering forces or actuating forces required by means of a pneumatic cylinder, possibly equipped with a lever reinforcement (analogous to brake power cylinders).
- an active hydraulic socket 430, (100) (cf. FIGS 6 and 7 as well as 8; Adjusting element 110, restoring element, 120; or vice versa) or a passive hydraulic socket 430 and an actuator 100 (cf. FIG FIGS 6 and 7 as well as 9; Adjusting element 110, restoring element, 120; or vice versa).
- an active actuator 100 see active cylinder in FIG 9
- a conventional passive wheel set longitudinal guide represents a 'safe' fall-back level for a failure of one or the actuators 100, 100.
- a direct angle measurement can be used to determine a wheel angle relative to the track, which is currently still complex and costly.
- a curve radius can be estimated using arc detection (e.g. a turning angle measurement, a transverse force measurement, etc.).
- target angles of the rail wheels 210, 210 or of a wheel set 200 relative to the track can be determined in advance by simulation. In this way, target displacements or target forces of the actuators 100, 100 can be determined and / or established in advance. These variables can either be applied in a controlled manner or can be easily measured and thus regulated using a displacement sensor or a pressure sensor.
- the curve radius can thus be estimated using the curve detection (turning angle, transverse force measurement, etc.).
- (essentially optimal) target angles of the rail wheels 210, 210 or a wheelset 200 relative to the track can be determined in advance by simulation, which also means that (essentially optimal) angles of the rail wheels 210, 210 or a wheelset 200 relative to the bogie, the chassis 20 or the chassis frame 22 are present. These can be converted either into target displacements in the actuators 100, 100 or into target actuator forces. These are either applied in a controlled manner or can be easily measured constructively using pressure sensors and thus corrected.
- FIGS 6 and 7 shows z. B. a triangular link 410 on a link body, via the essentially horizontally extending connecting walls, two preferably smaller link eyes 440, 440 for receiving elastomer bushings 450 with a preferably larger link eye 420 for receiving a hydraulic socket 430 are firmly connected to each other.
- the handlebar body can be designed as a cast part, a forged part or a milled part.
- On the two side edges of the connecting walls that connect the larger handlebar eye 420 with the smaller handlebar eyes 440, 440 are optionally formed with essentially vertically protruding connecting webs.
- Each elastomer bushing 450 has an inner bearing shell 451, an outer bearing shell 453 and an elastomer ring 452 embedded between these. As a result of a rotationally symmetrical construction of the elastomer bushing 450, it has an essentially constant rigidity in the longitudinal direction (x) and in the transverse direction (y).
- the respective outer bearing shell 453 is seated in a relevant smaller handlebar eye 440, while the inner bearing shell 451 is penetrated by a vertically aligned bearing pin 455.
- the hydraulic bushing 430 has an inner bearing shell 431, an outer bearing shell 433 and an annular elastomer element 432 provided between these.
- the outer bearing shell 433 sits in the larger handlebar eye 420, while the inner bearing shell 431 is vertically penetrated by a bearing pin 435.
- the bearing pin 435 has an essentially vertically extending through recess through which fastening means 437 for connecting the bearing 412 on the wheel set side to the axle bearing 310 are guided coaxially through the hydraulic bushing 430.
- the elastomer element 432 and the outer bearing shell 433 form two segment-shaped, separate cavities 422, 424 between them.
- a partition wall of the cavities 422, 424 is not shown in the drawing.
- the cavity 422 facing the elastomer bushings 450 forms an internal fluid chamber 422 and the cavity 422 facing away from the elastomer bushings 450 forms an external fluid chamber 424 of the wishbone 410.
- the fluid chambers 422, 424 are filled with a hydraulic fluid.
- the fluid chambers 422, 424 may be in fluid communication with one another through an external or internal fluid passage (not shown) that acts as or includes a fluid throttle. Furthermore, the internal fluid chamber 422 and the external fluid chamber 424 of a single hydraulic bushing 430 can be hydraulically coupled in such a way that hydraulic fluid which flows out of one of the fluid chambers 422/424 as a result of external pressurization flows into the other fluid chamber 424/422.
- the external pressurization comes from a management force between the respective axle bearings 310 of a relevant wheelset 200 and the chassis frame 22, which a respective wishbone 410 transmits and can lead to a fluid exchange between the fluid chambers 422, 424 in the respective hydraulic socket 430.
- This fluid exchange can be influenced further, as explained below.
- the external or internal fluid channel can be omitted here.
- the hydraulic bushing 430 has a variable longitudinal rigidity (x) that is dependent on the excitation frequency.
- the fluid chambers 422, 424 of an individual hydraulic socket 430 can alternatively or additionally via external fluid lines, of which in the FIG 7 only the fluid connections 423, 425 are shown, are in fluid communication (in the FIG 7 not shown). Furthermore, the fluid chambers 422, 424 of a single hydraulic socket 430, of which in FIG FIG 7 only the fluid connections 423, 425 are shown, are in fluid communication with at least one fluid chamber 422, 424 of another hydraulic socket 430 alternatively or additionally via external fluid lines (in which FIG 7 not shown).
- An external fluid line can e.g. B. be designed as a rigid hydraulic line or as a flexible hydraulic hose.
- the hydraulic sockets 430, 430 arranged on the same side of the chassis can be connected via two external fluid channels (in the FIG 1 not shown in FIG 8 interrupted) be connected in such a way that, on each side of the chassis, an external fluid chamber 424 of a first wheelset 200 is hydraulically coupled to an external fluid chamber 424 of a second wheelset 200 and an internal fluid chamber 422 of the first wheelset 200 is hydraulically coupled to an internal fluid chamber 422 of the second wheelset 200 .
- Hydraulic coupling is preferably carried out symmetrically to the longitudinal direction on both sides of the chassis, which favors a radial position of two wheel sets 200, 200 in the track curve and ensures the required high longitudinal rigidity when starting with high tensile force or when braking.
- the wheelset-side bearings 412, 412, 412, 412, 412 are acted upon with forces in the same direction, so that there is no fluid exchange between the coupled fluid chambers 422, 422; 424, 424; 422, 422; 424, 424 is coming - the bearings 412, 412, 412, 412 on the wheelset side react hard.
- forces in opposite directions occur, so that hydraulic fluid between the respectively coupled fluid chambers 422, 422; 424, 424; 422, 424; 424, 424 is exchanged and a radial adjustment of the wheel sets 200, 200 occurs due to a soft bearing reaction.
- the advantage is a good transmission of tension-compression forces.
- an external fluid chamber 424 of a first wheelset 200 is hydraulically coupled to an internal fluid chamber 422 of a second wheelset 200 and an internal fluid chamber 422 of the first wheelset 200 is hydraulically coupled to an external fluid chamber 424 of the second wheelset 200.
- a hydraulic coupling is again preferably carried out symmetrically to the longitudinal direction on both sides of the chassis.
- a hydraulic interconnection of the hydraulic system can be set up in such a way that the hydraulic system allows the above features passively if the hydraulic system has no influence on the pressure conditions in the fluid chambers 422, 424; 422, 424; 422, 424; 422, 424 is taken.
- the hydraulic system can be designed in such a way that it can actively carry out these passive settings itself.
- the hydraulic system is set up in such a way that in the event of comparatively unfavorable friction conditions between the Rail vehicle 2 and a track, comparatively unfavorable friction conditions between a rail 10 of a rail arch 1 and a driven rail wheel 210, ..., or a rail arch 1 or a track and a driven wheel set 200, ... of the rail vehicle 2, through a active steering (see above) of the rail wheel 210, ... on the rail 10 or the wheelset 200, ... on the track in comparatively favorable friction conditions (more favorable basic friction ratio and / or more favorable contact geometry and / or etc.).
- Unfavorable friction conditions between the rail vehicle 2 and a track are z.
- B. A loss of tractive force discussed above in the curve when approaching (e.g. axially positioned wheelsets 200, ...), when traveling slowly (e.g. axially positioned axles 200, ...) or, if necessary, when traveling at high speed (e.g. . Radially positioned wheel sets 200, ...); dirty and / or wet rail (s); small or decreasing arc radius; and / or steepness of a slope etc.

- the hydraulic system can be set up in such a way that it can establish a hydraulic pressure in each case in an even plurality of or in all fluid chambers essentially the same.
- both wheelsets 200 of a bogie find good positions in a track for a pulling force
- both wheelsets 200 of the bogie should be actively steered.
- An interaction between the two wheel sets 200 can be "optimized" in advance by means of simulation.
- What is analogous to the tractive force when starting or accelerating the rail vehicle 2 is a braking force when stopping or a negative one Acceleration, i.e. an influence on a shorter braking distance.
- the invention can be applied analogously to compensating for a loss of braking force in the rail vehicle 2.
- the slope of the track or the rail in question e.g. B. in a mountain range, has secondary effects on the loss of traction.
- I. E. especially on steep inclines a particularly large amount of tractive effort is necessary in order to keep a traveling speed of the rail vehicle 2 constant or to be able to start at all.
- the loss of tensile force in the arch is, however, caused by the contact geometry, the friction distribution etc. (friction conditions) over a rail / wheel cross-section.
- FIG 9 Another possibility to realize the above is shown by FIG 9 .
- the rail wheel 210 is actively steered by means of a passive hydraulic bushing 430 (cf. the explanations relating to FIGS FIGS 6 and 7 ) and an actuator 100 which is mechanically connected in parallel to the respective wishbone 410.
- the two fluid chambers 422, 424 of the passive hydraulic bushing 430 are in fluid communication with one another through the external or internal fluid channel (not shown), which acts as or has such a fluid throttle.
- the actuator 100 can be designed as an active cylinder 100, in particular a hydraulic cylinder 100. Another type of actuator 100 can of course be used.
- the actuator 100 is designed to be variable in length, with a longitudinal end section of the actuator 100 mechanically directly or indirectly connected to the large link eye 420 of the triangular link 410 and a longitudinal end section of the actuator 100 opposite this mechanically directly or indirectly to the small link eye 440 of the triangular link 410 is mechanically coupled.
- the actuator 100 can not only on the wishbone 410 itself, but z. B. on one side of the big eye 420 am Axle bearing 310 or axle bearing housing 312 can be fastened directly and / or directly on another side of the small eye 440 on the chassis 20 or chassis frame 22.
- actuators 100, 100 of an individual wheel set 200 are preferably activated or regulated in such a way that one actuator 100 elongates, whereas the other actuator 100 shortens. It can possibly be advantageous to lengthen or shorten both actuators 100, 100 of an individual wheel set 200.

Description
The invention relates to a method for compensating for a loss of tractive power in a rail vehicle, preferably a freight locomotive, in a rail curve, in particular when the rail vehicle starts up and / or in particular on an incline.
If the track conditions are unfavorable, e.g. B. dirty and / or wet rails, a transferable mechanical friction between a driven rail wheel of a rail vehicle (railway vehicle, motor vehicle, locomotive, powered end car, motor vehicle, self-propelled special vehicle for railway operations, etc.) and a relevant rail may be drastically reduced. Any mechanical drive power available from the rail vehicle can no longer be fully transmitted and drive control / regulation must prevent the wheels from spinning by reducing a tractive force (loss of tractive force).
In modern rail vehicles, the rail vehicle starts up in a slipping mode of the drive of the rail vehicle. In slip mode, a further loss of tractive power in the order of magnitude of approx. 10% is observed when the rail vehicle is in a curve (loss of tractive power in the curve) and especially when the rail vehicle starts in a curve from a standstill. This loss of tractive power tends to increase with a decreasing curve radius. Furthermore, the transmittable mechanical friction can depend on the steepness of a slope.
In the case of freight locomotives used in the mountains, that is to say an operation with high tractive force requirements (high utilization of adhesion), this additional loss of tractive force is particularly important during start-up processes, e.g. B. approaching a stop signal in a curve, on an incline and / or on a dirty / wet track, possibly not acceptable; In the worst case, the freight train can no longer start if the track conditions are unfavorable. The loss of tensile force in the case of unfavorable rail conditions is due to reduced friction between a driven rail wheel and the rail in question (also called reduced frictional connection).
It is an object of the invention to partially compensate for an additional loss of tractive power of a rail vehicle, in particular during starting processes, in a curve so as not to have to resort to alternatives such as the use of an actually oversized locomotive, sanding, etc. Furthermore, according to the invention, rail wear, in particular wear of a rail head, should be taken into account.
The object of the invention is achieved by the method according to
In the compensation method according to the invention, comparatively unfavorable (in the sense of bad) friction conditions between a rail of the rail arch and at least one driven rail wheel of the rail vehicle are changed into comparatively favorable (in the sense of good) friction conditions by actively steering the rail wheel on the rail. The driven rail wheel can be part of at least one driven wheel set of the rail vehicle, the comparatively unfavorable friction conditions between the rail arch or the rail arches and the at least driven wheel set being changed to comparatively favorable friction conditions by actively steering the at least one wheel set on the rail arch or the rail arches become.
Comparatively favorable friction conditions can be understood to mean a more favorable basic friction ratio, a more favorable contact geometry (depending on a contact point position), etc. (see also below). A radial position of one or a plurality of axles of the rail vehicle does not automatically lead to an increase in tractive force, but rather to an improvement in a contact point position of the driven rail wheel on the rail arc concerned or an improvement in the contact point position of the driven wheel set on the rail arcs (see also below). According to the invention, this leads to an overall more favorable friction ratio.
When performing the compensation method, the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, can be actively steered hydraulically, pneumatically, mechanically, electrically and / or electromechanically; can be adjusted axially and / or radially; and / or can be pivoted about a pivot center. In one embodiment, the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least a wheel set, actively steered in such a way that a contact area between the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, and a relevant rail in the rail curve lies in an area in which a comparatively favorable or more favorable basic friction ratio and / or a comparatively favorable one or more favorable contact geometry are present.
When performing the compensation method, the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, can be actively steered in such a way that a coefficient of friction in the contact area increases; the contact area is established on a running area of the rail in question; the contact area migrates in the direction of a transverse center of the rail in question; the contact area is located essentially in a transverse center of the rail in question; there is a smaller surface pressure in the contact area; and / or the contact area is enlarged.
When the rail vehicle starts up or slows down, the at least one sub-radial rail wheel, in particular the at least one sub-radial wheel set, can be articulated in such a way that the rail vehicle is at least partially offset radially outward. In this case, depending on the elevation, a rail wheel approaching the inside of the curve is preferably driven outwards by the active steering. To drive outwards, the wheel axles are articulated in a sub-radial direction.
In a case of travel or a case of rapid travel of the rail vehicle, the at least one over-radial rail wheel, in particular the at least one over-radial wheel set, is articulated in such a way that the rail vehicle is at least partially displaced radially inward. These cases relate in particular to an elevated and possibly narrow track curve, with the contact areas coming back into the running area of the rail wheels on the rail according to the invention. In the (fast) driving case, i.e. with an outside curve approaching rail wheel, the wheel axles are articulated over-radially, with the wheel axle then moving from the outside of the curve back onto the center of the rail.
Insert: Without a drive, a leading rail wheel is essentially always sub-radial, as e.g. B. in a right-hand arc there is a run-up at the front left. A rolling radius is then larger than the inside of the curve due to a conical profile of the rail wheel, and since the rotational speeds of both rail wheels are the same due to a rigid wheel axle, the rail wheel on the outside of the curve tends to be braked, i.e. the wheel set on the outside of the curve is pushed backwards. The situation is different with a trailing wheel axle. Depending on whether the gauntlet is present, i.e. the rail wheel on the inside of the curve starts running, or the run-on also takes place on the outside rail wheel in larger arcs, the result is an either over- or under-radial setting. This depends on the curve radius, track elevation, driving speed, vehicle mass and coordination of the stiffness in an axle guide.
When performing the compensation method, the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, can be steered by at least one actuator between the running gear or the running gear frame and the rail wheel or the wheel set. By means of the actuator, the rail wheel or the wheel set can be rotated or pivoted on the rail or the track. Furthermore, the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, can be steered by an active hydraulic system or by an active pneumatic cylinder. Furthermore, the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least one wheel set, can be steered by an active hydraulic bushing or an active hydraulic cylinder.
To determine a wheel angle relative to the track or to the rail in the rail curve, a curve radius can be estimated via curve detection, and / or a setpoint angle for the at least one rail wheel, in particular the at least a wheelset, relative to the track, can be determined in advance by means of a simulation. In one embodiment of the invention, a drive of the rail vehicle can operate in a slip mode, and / or the at least one actuator can be connected in series or in parallel with a wheel set longitudinal guide.

In the case of unfavorable adhesion conditions between a driven
Both physical causes have an influence in particular on starting processes of the

In the scenario shown, the
The invention consists in compensating for the loss of tractive force of the
Further positive secondary effects of the active steering of the at least one

A direct angle measurement can be used to determine a wheel angle relative to the track, which is currently still complex and costly. Each

The

On opposite sides in the longitudinal direction (x), the
The
This fluid exchange can be influenced further, as explained below. Furthermore, it is possible that, on each side of the chassis, an

The following explanations relate to a
Damit z. - Was der Zugkraft beim Anfahren bzw. The slope of the track or the rail in question, e.g. B. in a mountain range, has secondary effects on the loss of traction. Depending on a change in length of the
