Description

The present invention relates to means for mechanically retaining a metal sleeve on a synthetic material casing, a rotating case of the type used to contain cosmetic products, such as a stick of lipstick or lip creams .

During the transport, storage and repeated use of this type of cosmetic case, there is a risk that the metal jacket will separate from the synthetic material envelope, thus preventing its use. This phenomenon is accentuated when the cap is fitted directly onto the metal sleeve. The latter being stressed in traction with each use when removing the cover.

A metal liner is commonly secured by the use of glues. The major disadvantage of this method of attachment lies in the fact that it requires an intermediate operation prior to final assembly, the implementation of which is complex. This mode also requires a precise amount of glue, in particular to avoid any smudging. The glue may also show a lack of hold under extreme conditions, such as during mechanical or thermal shocks, during the packaging phases of the lipstick paste or lip creams, as well as during the product shipment phases. .

Another commonly used means is the mechanical clamping of the metal sleeve around the periphery of the synthetic material casing. This fixing means has a non-negligible impact on the operating torque of the rotating mechanism. Which is not acceptable on a case of good quality. This means does not make it possible to guarantee the hold either, because the tightening is impacted by the dimensional variations of production and the conformations of the synthetic material.

Les documents US 2 508 164 A , US 3 547 551 A divulguent des étuis cosmétiques tournants selon le contexte. The present invention thus proposes mechanical retaining means, making it possible to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks. According to a third alternative, which does not form part of the invention, combining the two preceding alternatives of the invention, the two parts assembled by shape cooperation each comprise both at least one projecting profile and at least one hollow.

The profiles by shape cooperation are produced either prior to assembly, or during shaping or molding, of the metal jacket (5) and the synthetic material sheath, or after assembly of the latter.

Note that a projecting profile is advantageously a projection (13), a recess (14) or a window (15) and a shape (16) projecting, while a recessed profile is advantageously a window (15), a depression made by force or a molding in the synthetic material sheath.

According to one embodiment, which does not form part of the invention, as illustrated in picture 3 , at least one protruding profile is a protrusion (13), preferably at least two protrusions (13) arranged diametrically opposite, and is/are produced by a non-perforating permanent deformation in the wall of the metal jacket (5).

A projection (13) is produced, according to one embodiment, by a pitting process, resulting in at least one internal deformation of the wall of the metal sleeve (5). This pecking process is advantageously carried out by the use of two tools comprising an engraving of the geometry of the projection (13).

These resulting projections (13) have the shape of the corresponding engraving, preferably having a profile comprising at least one edge, such as pyramidal, prismatic or any other shape.

According to the mode of the invention, at least one projecting profile, at the level of the metal sleeve (5), is produced by a driving-in process, resulting in a partial cutting of the wall. The resulting depression (14) is for example in a semi-cylindrical shape, at least open upwards, as illustrated in figures 4a and 4b .

According to the previous embodiment, a recess (14) at least open upwards, creates a counter shape, namely a recessed profile at the level of the wall of the synthetic material sheath during force assembly of the latter with the metal jacket (5), but it could be otherwise, a recessed profile complementary to the depression (14) is made prior to the fitting of the metal jacket (5) to the sheath in material synthetic. Thus, a depression (14) at least open upwards, comes to collaborate with a counterform, made beforehand or molded, at the level of the wall of the synthetic material sheath. The counter-form and the depression (14) protruding from interlocking in complementarity, ensuring mechanical retention of the assembly.

According to another mode of execution, not forming part of the invention, as illustrated in figures 5 and 7 , at least one protruding profile is made by punching. A punching process produces a window (15) and advantageously a specific shape (16). This specific protruding form (16) either creates a recessed profile in the plastic sheath during assembly, or collaborates with a recessed profile arranged in the latter.

According to the previous embodiment, in addition to the shape collaboration between the shape (16) and the recessed profile arranged in the sheath made of synthetic, a protruding profile at the latter collaborates with the window (15) of the metal jacket (5).

According to one embodiment, not forming part of the invention, as illustrated in figure 6 , the synthetic material sheath comprises a complementary shape (19) projecting outwards, namely towards the metal jacket (5), preferably molded, to the window (16) corresponding to a hollow profile. The complementary shape (19) protruding and the window (15) interlock in complementarity, ensuring mechanical retention of the assembly.

Various rotating case mechanisms each comprising a metal sleeve fitted onto a sheath made of synthetic material are available on the market. However, the sheath made of synthetic material generally has a different function and constitutes a structurally differentiated part, such as a spiral casing (4), an inverted sheath (20) with zipper(s) (10) or a guide (21). These different rotating casing mechanisms will be explained in the remainder of the description.

Thus a rotating case, as illustrated in figure 2 , advantageously comprises a crown (1) integral with or forming an integral part of the lower part of a sheath (2) with a slide (10), inside which is movably mounted, in movement, a slider (3) intended to receive a cosmetic product. The sheath (2) with zipper(s) (10) is embedded in a spiral casing (4) mounted in collaboration with a metal jacket (5) by shape cooperation. The sheath (2) with zipper(s) (10) and advantageously the crown (1) form a sub-assembly, mounted to move in free axial rotation with respect to the assembly formed by the spiral casing (4) and the metal jacket (5).

Ce mouvement se décompose en une rotation et une translation, toutes deux simultanées et axiales par rapport à l'ensemble formé par l'enveloppe spiralée (4) et la chemise métallique (5).Let us add that the sheath (2) with slider(s) (10), makes it possible to drive the slider (3) in axial translation, during the axial rotation of the assembly formed by the crown (1) and the sheath (2 ) with zipper(s) (10). This assembly is arranged so that the axial rotation of the crown (1) drives the slider (3) in a spin movement. This movement breaks down into a rotation and a translation, both simultaneous and axial with respect to the assembly formed by the spiral casing (4) and the metal sleeve (5).

Note that the sheath (2) slide (s) (10) advantageously comprises two slides (10) arranged in a diametrically opposite manner, formed longitudinally in at least a portion of its cylindrical wall.

It should be noted that the sheath (2) with zipper(s) (10) comprises an upper abutment means (8) and a lower abutment means (9) projecting outwards. In other words, these abutment means (8, 9) are advantageously represented by annular peripheral ribs.

The spiral envelope (4) comprises in its inner wall, at least one helical groove (6), closed at least at its upper end, preferably two helical grooves (6), diametrically opposed.

The spiral casing (4) thus comprises at least one helical groove (6) corresponding to a first zone, which will be called a negative zone, and a second zone which will be called a positive zone, corresponding to the zone arranged between two helical groove portions (6). It is understood that the positive zone has a greater thickness than that of the negative zone.

This configuration makes it possible to avoid a malfunction of the mechanism for rotating the slider (3) at the level of at least one helical groove (6) of the spiral casing (4).

According to a preferred embodiment, at least one protruding profile mounted in collaboration with at least one recessed profile are located at the level of a positive zone of the spiral casing (4).

L'enveloppe spiralée (4) est retenue par le moyen de butée supérieur (8) et le moyen de butée inférieur (9) de la gaine (2).The spiral casing (4) is retained by the upper abutment means (8) and the lower abutment means (9) of the sheath (2).

The metal sleeve (5) advantageously comprises, in the upper part, a rim (11) projecting inwards.

The slider (3) further comprises at least one lug (7) passing through at least one slideway (10) of the sheath (2) and cooperating with at least one groove (6) of the spiral casing (4). At least one lug (7) thus cooperates in sliding with at least one slide (10) and extending into a helical groove (6), making it possible to drive the slider (3) in axial translation relative to the crown (1) , during the rotation of the assembly formed by the spiral casing (4) and the metal sleeve (5).

La partie haute de la couronne (1) vient s'insérer avantageusement entre la partie extérieure de la gaine (2) et la partie intérieure de l'enveloppe spiralée (4), en dessous des moyens de butée inférieurs (9) de la gaine (2).The upper part of the crown (1) is advantageously inserted between the outer part of the sheath (2) and the inner part of the spiral casing (4), below the lower abutment means (9) of the sheath (2).

Plus précisément, la chemise métallique (5) est enchâsser dans un berceau localisé en partie supérieure de la gaine inversée (20) à glissière (10).According to another embodiment, the sheath made of synthetic material is an inverted sheath (20) with zipper(s) (10). Thus, a rotating case, as illustrated in figure 8 , comprises a metal jacket (5) advantageously fitted to the upper part of an inverted sheath (20) with slide (10), inside which is mounted movable in translation, a slider (3) intended to receive a product cosmetic, while a spiral casing (4) is fitted onto the lower part of the inverted sheath (20) with zipper (10). More specifically, the metal sleeve (5) is embedded in a cradle located in the upper part of the inverted sheath (20) with zipper (10).

The inverted sheath (20) with zipper(s) (10) further comprises an upper abutment means (8) and a lower abutment means (9) projecting outwards, while the spiral casing (4) is retained by them.

Selon le mode de réalisation précédent, la gaine inversée (20) à glissière(s) (10), permet d'entraîner le curseur (3) en translation axiale, lors de la rotation axiale de l'enveloppe spiralée (4).According to the previous embodiment, the inverted sheath (20) with zipper(s) (10) makes it possible to drive the slider (3) in axial translation, during the axial rotation of the spiral casing (4).

Thus a rotating case, as illustrated in figure 9 , comprises a metal jacket (5) fitted onto a guide (21). The latter is fitted onto the upper part of a piece commonly called a nut (22) (or nut in English). A lower part of a slider (3), intended to receive a cosmetic product, namely a rod, is embedded in a threaded inner part of the nut (22). The slider (3) is driven in axial translation inside the guide (21) by the rotation of the nut (22).
