Definitions
- the invention relates to a closure device according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Closure devices of the aforementioned type are known in the prior art. These serve to close a container, for example a beverage bottle, and at the same time provide a chamber for the separate storage of liquid or powdery ingredients, for example tea essences, so that these do not immediately fill when filled with the contents of the container, i.e. H. for example water, come into contact and / or are mixed, but only at the moment when the closure device is removed from the container. This is usually the moment when a user wants to consume the beverage in the container.
- liquid or powdery ingredients for example tea essences
- the closure devices known in the prior art regularly consist of a cover element, on which the chamber is arranged, and an inner housing.
- the closure device is usually as a whole, i.e. H. completely pre-assembled, screwed onto the container.
- the inner housing has a first thread that corresponds to the thread of the container in a form-fitting manner.
- the cover element and the inner housing are connected to one another via form-fitting corresponding second threads.
- the publication WO 2008/017890 A1 relates to such a closure device which, when the cover element is unscrewed, is closed from it Container releases a medium in the chamber into the container.
- the chamber is closed with a membrane with respect to a closed position.
- this membrane is pierced by an opening element arranged on the inner housing, namely a mandrel with an integrated drain channel.
- an opening element arranged on the inner housing, namely a mandrel with an integrated drain channel.
- the piercing of the membrane by means of the mandrel is effected by unscrewing the cover element from the inner housing arranged on the container.
- the chamber arranged on the cover element is basically moved away from the mandrel.
- a left-handed thread arranged between the cover element and the mandrel simultaneously causes the mandrel to move in the direction of the membrane until the mandrel cuts through the membrane.
- the mandrel is longitudinally movable but non-rotatably mounted on the inner housing.
- the closure device can finally be unscrewed from the container by means of the first thread arranged between the container and the inner housing.
- a disadvantage of the closure device known in the prior art is that for a movement of the mandrel in the direction of the membrane, there must be axial mobility of the mandrel within the cover element with simultaneous torsional strength. This increases the proportion of elements movably arranged in the closure device, which on the one hand results in a more complex manufacture of the closure device and on the other hand could also cause the mandrel movably mounted in the cover element to tilt, which would impede the proper functioning of the closure device.
- WO 2006/037244 A1 which is generic, a closure device is known in which the cover is screw-connected to the inner housing at a vertical distance from an area in which the inner housing is connected to the container mouth.
- the invention is concerned with the task of making the known, last-mentioned closure device space-saving.
- the left-handed thread is also moved to an area outside the container, namely to the outer wall of the container opening.
- the opening element is formed directly in one piece with the inner housing. The production of the closure device is particularly simple and inexpensive. It cannot undesired canting of the movably mounted opening element within the outlet opening of the chamber.
- the second threads which are arranged correspondingly on the cover element and inner housing, are designed as left-handed threads and the first threads, which are formed between the inner housing and container, are designed as right-handed threads.
- the cover element is moved along the left-hand thread in a counterclockwise rotation towards the inner housing, so that the opening means arranged on the inner housing can cut through a closing means arranged on the chamber and thus the medium which is stored in the chamber. can leak into the container.
- the user of the closure device can thus unscrew the container as usual by turning it counterclockwise.
- the cover element moves in the direction of the inner housing, i. H. with the container upright, while the rotary movement is then transferred to the first thread arranged between the container and the inner housing, so that the closure device can be completely unscrewed from the container.
- the locking device i.e. specifically unscrewed the inner housing from the container.
- the user does not need to change the direction of rotation of the cover element. Rather, the different threads cause the cover element to lower and then raise the cover element relative to the container with the same rotational movement of the cover element.
- the second partial thread can be actuated before the first partial thread.
- the chamber have a drain opening provided with a closure means, which can be opened by means of an opening means arranged on the inner housing.
- the chamber arranged on the cover element and the inner housing have corresponding elements, namely a closure means and an opening means, which interact according to the invention when the cover element is moved in the direction of the inner housing.
- the chamber is moved in the direction of the opening means until finally the opening means acts on the closing means and thus the closing means releases the drain opening formed in the chamber.
- the opening means can be designed as a mandrel.
- the closure means can be designed as a membrane closing the drain opening.
- the mandrel and the membrane advantageously work with one another such that the mandrel pierces or cuts the membrane.
- the membrane can be, for example, a metal foil, for example aluminum foil.
- plastic membranes are also suitable, for example PBT, so that the membrane is preferably made of the same material as the chamber.
- the membrane is advantageously welded to the chamber.
- the mandrel can, for example, be needle-shaped or also blade-shaped, the membrane rotating through the rotating movement of the cover element over the mandrel, so that advantageously not only a punctiform puncture point is created, but rather the membrane is destroyed over a large area, so that the drainage opening is released as far as possible becomes. If the mandrel is needle-shaped, it is advisable to arrange it outside the axis of rotation of the membrane.
- a sealing element is advantageously arranged on the side of the closure means facing away from the chamber. Because the chamber is sealed with the closure means during the closed position, the additional sealing element can be arranged outside the chamber. In this respect, the demands on the material of the sealing element are lower than if the sealing element comes into direct contact with the medium stored in the container.
- the sealing element is advantageously a thermoplastic elastomer. Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) have the advantage that they can be welded to produce, for example, waterproof connections.
- the sealing element is advantageously arranged between the chamber and the opening means, these being sealed as free of gaps as possible.
- the opening means can in particular be continuously connected to the sealing element during the movement from the closed position to the discharge position, the opening means having a discharge channel through which the medium arranged in the chamber can flow in order to get from the chamber into the container.
- the closure means is a stopper element which is formed in one piece with the opening means.
- the closure means is a stopper element which is formed in one piece with the opening means.
- the shape of the drain opening and the shape of the stopper element can be designed so that the stopper element completely closes the drain opening during the movement from the closed position into the drain position and then releases a drain channel through which the medium from the chamber into the container can leak.
- the invention also proposes a container with the aforementioned closure device, the container opening of the container having a first thread which is connected in a form-fitting manner to a first thread of the inner housing.
- a method for dispensing a medium from a closure device into a container is described, in particular from a closure device as described above, the closure device having a lid element for closing a container opening of the container, an inner housing and a chamber arranged on the lid element, wherein the Lid element is moved in a direction towards the container when the closure device is changed from a closed position into a lowering position, as a result of which the chamber arranged on the cover element is moved towards the inner housing arranged on the container, with an opening means arranged on the inner housing one at the other Chamber arranged closure means releases, whereby a medium in the chamber can escape from the chamber into the container.
- a method is thus proposed in which during a normal opening movement of the container, ie when the cover element rotates in the counterclockwise direction, the cover element moves in the direction of the inner housing, ie the container, which ultimately results in the opening means arranged on the inner housing with one the closure means arranged in the chamber interacts in the sense that the closure means releases a discharge channel, so that a medium in the chamber can escape into the container.
- the cover element is moved in one direction towards the container along a left-hand thread.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 show different embodiments of a closure device according to the invention. These differ on the one hand by the design of the chamber arranged on the cover element and on the other hand by the type of closure means and opening means.
- Figure 1 shows a closure device 1, which is arranged on a container 2, for example a beverage bottle.
- the closure device 1 is screwed onto the container 2 in the region of the container opening 3.
- the closure device 1 has a cover element 4, an inner housing 5 and a chamber 6 arranged on the cover element 4.
- the chamber 6 is at least partially arranged in the inner housing 5, an upper partial region of the chamber 6 projecting out of the inner housing 5 in the vertical direction.
- a medium which can be, for example, a liquid or a powder.
- the chamber 6 has at its lower end an outlet opening 8, which is closed by means of a closure means 7, here an aluminum foil.
- the closure means 7 is advantageously welded to the chamber 6.
- the inner housing 5 has an opening means 9, here a mandrel.
- this opening means 9 preferably protrudes into the drain opening 8, but in the given case only to such an extent that the opening means 9 does not touch the closing means 7, or does not touch it in an injuring manner.
- Non-injuriously means here that the closure means is not damaged, so that the medium can escape unintentionally. A certain touch may occur, however.
- the drain opening 8 can be sealed off from the opening means 9 by a sealing element 12. This is then let into the outlet opening 8 in a ring shape.
- the opening means 9 also has a drain channel 13 through which the medium stored in the chamber 6 can flow from the chamber 6 into the container 2 in the open position of the closure means 7.
- the chamber 6 is closed with a film element 14.
- This film element 14 is advantageously welded or glued to an edge region of the chamber 6.
- the film element 14 is also advantageously attached to the cover element 4 welded or glued.
- the inner housing 5 with integrated opening means 9 is first screwed onto the container 2.
- the inner housing 5 has a U-shaped edge region which carries a first thread 10 on the side facing the outer wall of the container 2.
- the container 2 has a form-fitting corresponding first thread 10, so that the inner housing 5 can be screwed onto the container 2.
- the cover element 4 with the chamber 6 arranged thereon is screwed onto the inner housing 5 (and thus simultaneously onto the container 2).
- a second thread 11 arranged on the inside of the cover element 4 is brought into engagement with an outwardly pointing second thread 11 of the side edge of the inner housing 5.
- the cover element 4 is screwed onto the inner housing 5 until a catch element 16 arranged on the cover element 4 engages in a projection 15 arranged on the inner housing 5. This corresponds to a position in which the opening means 9 engages in the drain opening 8 of the chamber 6 in such a way that the closure means 7 introduced into the drain opening 8 is not destroyed.
- FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of a closure device 1 according to the invention which, instead of a chamber 6 closed with a film element 14, has a chamber 6, which is completely closed apart from the outlet opening 8.
- This chamber 6 is overmolded in a cylindrical shape by the material of the cover element 4, so that the chamber 6 and cover element 4 are firmly connected to one another. Otherwise, the configuration is as previously in relation to the closure device 1 according to FIG Figure 1 shown.
- FIG. 3 shows a closure device 1 according to a third embodiment.
- This closure device 1 has a chamber 6, which as in Figure 2 is shown, that is - apart from the drain opening 8 - is completely closed.
- the chamber 6 is made of the material of the Cover element 4 molded around in a cylinder shape, so that chamber 6 and cover element 4 are firmly connected.
- the closure device 1 according to FIG Figure 3 via a one-piece plug element which has both a closure means 7 and an opening means 9.
- the stopper element is arranged on the inner housing 5, with at least the closing means 7, as the upper end region of the stopper element, projecting into the discharge opening 8 assigned to the chamber 6.
- a sealing element 12 is arranged, which, depending on the position of the closure means 7, bears against it or not.
- Figure 3 the closed position of the closure device 1 is shown. In this, the closure means 7 abuts the sealing element 12 with a widened end region and closes the drain channel 13, so that the medium stored in the chamber 6 cannot flow out.
- a drain position (not shown) of the closure device 1 the closure means 7 is moved further into the chamber 6 (in FIG Figure 3 "upwards"), so that the widened end region of the closure means 7 is no longer in contact with the sealing element 12 and the drain channel 13 is released.
- the closure device 1 shown is in a lowering position. Starting from the in Figure 1 shown closing position, this drain position is reached by moving the cover element 4 in the direction of the container 2, the chamber 6 being moved further into the inner housing 5. This is done by rotating the cover element 4 along the second thread 11 formed between the cover element 4 and the inner housing 5, which is designed as a left-handed thread. As a result of that the second thread 11 is a left-handed thread, the cover element 4 is rotated further towards the container 2 during a conventional opening movement of the container 2 in the counterclockwise direction. For the user, however, there is the usual way of actuation during an opening process counterclockwise, so that no different handling has to be observed as a result.
- the opening means 9 is a cutting element which has a central discharge channel 13, through which medium from the chamber 6 in can flow the container 2, provided that the closure means 7 introduced into the drain opening 8 is destroyed. Due to the rotation of the cover element 4, the closure means 7 is simultaneously rotated relative to the opening means 9, so that there is a large, essentially round opening within the drain opening 8 of the chamber 6. In this drain position, the cover element 4 is screwed onto the inner housing 5 and thus the container 2 as much as possible.
- Figure 5 shows the closure device 1 according to the invention while being unscrewed from the container 2.
- the cover element 4 By further turning the cover element 4 in a counterclockwise direction, the inner housing 5 and thus also the cover element 4 arranged on the inner housing 5 are unscrewed from the container 2. Because the first threads 10 formed between the inner housing 5 and the container 2 are designed as right-hand threads, the closure device 1 is moved away from the container 2 as a whole. During this unscrewing process, the medium stored in the chamber 6 can completely escape into the container 2.
- Figure 6 finally shows the closure device in a state in which the closure device 1 is completely separated from the container 2. All components of the closure device 1, namely in particular the cover element 4 with the chamber 6 arranged thereon and the inner housing 5, are detached from the container 2.
- the invention works accordingly analog. It should be emphasized in each case that the closure device 1 is always transferred from a closed position to a lowering position via the same thread mechanism.
- This thread mechanism includes a left-hand thread, which ensures the movement of the cover element 4 in the direction of the inner housing 5, and a right-hand thread, which finally ensures the separation of the closure device 1, in particular the inner housing 5, from the container 2.
- the opening of the drain opening 8 does not work via corresponding closure means 7 and opening means 9, which are designed as a membrane and mandrel, but rather via a one-piece plug element, which functions both the closure means 7 and the opening means 9 takes over.
- closure means 7 and opening means 9 which are designed as a membrane and mandrel, but rather via a one-piece plug element, which functions both the closure means 7 and the opening means 9 takes over.
- a drain channel 13 formed between the plug element and the sealing element 12 is closed or opened.

The closure devices known in the prior art regularly consist of a cover element, on which the chamber is arranged, and an inner housing. The closure device is usually as a whole, i.e. H. completely pre-assembled, screwed onto the container. For this purpose, the inner housing has a first thread that corresponds to the thread of the container in a form-fitting manner. In addition, the cover element and the inner housing are connected to one another via form-fitting corresponding second threads. When opening the container, i.e. H. unscrewing the cover element, the cover element is moved relative to the inner housing. The cover element is moved from a closed position to a drain position, in which drain position a medium stored in the chamber can escape into the container.

A disadvantage of the closure device known in the prior art is that for a movement of the mandrel in the direction of the membrane, there must be axial mobility of the mandrel within the cover element with simultaneous torsional strength. This increases the proportion of elements movably arranged in the closure device, which on the one hand results in a more complex manufacture of the closure device and on the other hand could also cause the mandrel movably mounted in the cover element to tilt, which would impede the proper functioning of the closure device.

Starting from the last-mentioned prior art, the invention is concerned with the task of making the known, last-mentioned closure device space-saving.
This object is achieved with the subject matter of
Because the threads run in opposite directions between the inner housing and the container or between the cover element and the inner housing, the left-handed thread is also moved to an area outside the container, namely to the outer wall of the container opening. As a result, there is no need for a movable mounting of the opening element on the inner housing. The opening element is formed directly in one piece with the inner housing. The production of the closure device is particularly simple and inexpensive. It cannot undesired canting of the movably mounted opening element within the outlet opening of the chamber.
The second threads, which are arranged correspondingly on the cover element and inner housing, are designed as left-handed threads and the first threads, which are formed between the inner housing and container, are designed as right-handed threads.
As a result of this configuration, the cover element is moved along the left-hand thread in a counterclockwise rotation towards the inner housing, so that the opening means arranged on the inner housing can cut through a closing means arranged on the chamber and thus the medium which is stored in the chamber. can leak into the container. The user of the closure device can thus unscrew the container as usual by turning it counterclockwise. First, the cover element moves in the direction of the inner housing, i. H. with the container upright, while the rotary movement is then transferred to the first thread arranged between the container and the inner housing, so that the closure device can be completely unscrewed from the container. By actuating this right-hand thread, the locking device, i.e. specifically unscrewed the inner housing from the container.
The user does not need to change the direction of rotation of the cover element. Rather, the different threads cause the cover element to lower and then raise the cover element relative to the container with the same rotational movement of the cover element.
It is recommended in the sense of the invention that the second partial thread can be actuated before the first partial thread. This takes the closure device Before actually unscrewing from the container, first enter the drain position in which the medium stored in the chamber can escape into the container. Specifically, this means that the medium can still escape from the container during the entire subsequent unscrewing. It is thus possible for the chamber to be completely emptied when the closure device is finally separated from the container. Dripping from the chamber is thus minimized. In contrast to the prior art, this is a decisive advantage, since there the movements along the right-hand thread and the left-hand thread run simultaneously. This disadvantageously shortens the effective time available for the medium to exit the chamber into the container.
It is proposed that the chamber have a drain opening provided with a closure means, which can be opened by means of an opening means arranged on the inner housing. Thus, the chamber arranged on the cover element and the inner housing have corresponding elements, namely a closure means and an opening means, which interact according to the invention when the cover element is moved in the direction of the inner housing. During the rotational movement of the cover element along the second thread, the chamber is moved in the direction of the opening means until finally the opening means acts on the closing means and thus the closing means releases the drain opening formed in the chamber.
According to one embodiment variant, the opening means can be designed as a mandrel. In combination, the closure means can be designed as a membrane closing the drain opening. The mandrel and the membrane advantageously work with one another such that the mandrel pierces or cuts the membrane. The membrane can be, for example, a metal foil, for example aluminum foil. Alternatively, plastic membranes are also suitable, for example PBT, so that the membrane is preferably made of the same material as the chamber. The membrane is advantageously welded to the chamber. The mandrel can, for example, be needle-shaped or also blade-shaped, the membrane rotating through the rotating movement of the cover element over the mandrel, so that advantageously not only a punctiform puncture point is created, but rather the membrane is destroyed over a large area, so that the drainage opening is released as far as possible becomes. If the mandrel is needle-shaped, it is advisable to arrange it outside the axis of rotation of the membrane.
A sealing element is advantageously arranged on the side of the closure means facing away from the chamber. Because the chamber is sealed with the closure means during the closed position, the additional sealing element can be arranged outside the chamber. In this respect, the demands on the material of the sealing element are lower than if the sealing element comes into direct contact with the medium stored in the container. The sealing element is advantageously a thermoplastic elastomer. Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) have the advantage that they can be welded to produce, for example, waterproof connections. The sealing element is advantageously arranged between the chamber and the opening means, these being sealed as free of gaps as possible. The opening means can in particular be continuously connected to the sealing element during the movement from the closed position to the discharge position, the opening means having a discharge channel through which the medium arranged in the chamber can flow in order to get from the chamber into the container.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the closure means is a stopper element which is formed in one piece with the opening means. In this case, there is no need for a separate closure means, which closes the drain opening in the sense of a membrane. Rather, the shape of the drain opening and the shape of the stopper element can be designed so that the stopper element completely closes the drain opening during the movement from the closed position into the drain position and then releases a drain channel through which the medium from the chamber into the container can leak.
In addition to the above-described closure device for a container, the invention also proposes a container with the aforementioned closure device, the container opening of the container having a first thread which is connected in a form-fitting manner to a first thread of the inner housing.
In addition, a method for dispensing a medium from a closure device into a container is described, in particular from a closure device as described above, the closure device having a lid element for closing a container opening of the container, an inner housing and a chamber arranged on the lid element, wherein the Lid element is moved in a direction towards the container when the closure device is changed from a closed position into a lowering position, as a result of which the chamber arranged on the cover element is moved towards the inner housing arranged on the container, with an opening means arranged on the inner housing one at the other Chamber arranged closure means releases, whereby a medium in the chamber can escape from the chamber into the container. According to the invention, a method is thus proposed in which during a normal opening movement of the container, ie when the cover element rotates in the counterclockwise direction, the cover element moves in the direction of the inner housing, ie the container, which ultimately results in the opening means arranged on the inner housing with one the closure means arranged in the chamber interacts in the sense that the closure means releases a discharge channel, so that a medium in the chamber can escape into the container. In particular, it is advisable that the cover element is moved in one direction towards the container along a left-hand thread.
