Nachteilig an den bekannten Positionierungsmechanismen ist zum einen, dass in dem Mast Öffnungen, etwa Schlitznuten vorgesehen sein müssen, durch welche der Federmechanismus innerhalb des Mastes positioniert und später zum Zwecke der Verrastung hindurchtreten kann. Diese Durchbrüche im Material des Mastes bewirken eine verminderte Stabilität des Mastes, was insbesondere dann unerwünscht ist, wenn es sich bei dem Schirm um einen Sonnenschirm mit einen größeren Durchmesser des Schirmdaches handelt, auf welches nicht unerhebliche Windkräfte einwirken können. Damit der Mast auch bei den bekannten Lösungen höhere Windkräfte aufnehmen kann, muss im Stand der Technik die Wandstärke des Mastes entsprechend erhöht werden. Dies wiederum führt zu dem Nachteil eines größeren Materialeinsatzes und Gewicht des Mastes. Zum anderen ist die Montage der bekannten Positionierungsmechanismen relativ aufwendig. Claims (8)
