Auslegetag: 16.
The invention relates to an umbrella, in particular a collapsible umbrella, when it is closed State of flat cross-sectional shape, its roof poles, struts and possibly Auxiliary struts with one end that has a bore through which with a head piece, a Slide and optionally an auxiliary slide connected holding parts are guided in recesses the head piece, the slide or, if necessary, the auxiliary slide on one or more straight lines Lines lie next to each other on both sides of the umbrella stick.
In these known umbrellas, the recesses in which the roof poles, struts and optionally auxiliary struts in the head piece, slider and optionally auxiliary slider are hinged, are parallel-walled, and the tolerance between the side surfaces of the recesses and the ends of the roof poles, struts and optionally auxiliary struts must on the one hand, be relatively small if the distance between the free ends of the roof poles is to be constant when the umbrella is open. On the other hand, the sector-shaped parts of an umbrella cover cannot be sewn together so precisely that the circumferential sections of these sector-shaped umbrella cover parts are of the same length. If, as is generally the case with umbrellas, the umbrella cover is sewn to the free ends of the roof poles, individual roof poles bend in an approximately vertical direction under the effect of the tension of an umbrella cover that is not exactly sewn together or is slightly distorted by the dampening of the same slightly through the side surfaces of the recesses. This bending of the roof poles leads to increased friction in the articulation points of the roof poles, slides and, if necessary, auxiliary slides and makes it more difficult to open and close the umbrella. In addition, the planes formed by a roof pole, ► a strut and, if necessary, an auxiliary strut are not parallel to one another when the umbrella is closed, which means that the distances between the articulation points of the roof poles and thus the width of the umbrella in the closed state are not as small as possible.
QuerschnittsformThe invention is based on the object of eliminating the disadvantages of this known umbrella. This object is achieved in that the side surfaces of the recesses for one end of the roof poles, struts and auxiliary struts corresponding to their position deviating from the radial when the screen is open and corresponding to their mutually parallel position when the screen is closed obliquely to the screen from when the screen is closed

The longitudinal center axis of the head piece, the slide and optionally the auxiliary slide and the Diameter that is arranged at one end of the roof poles, struts and, if necessary, auxiliary struts Bores is dimensioned correspondingly larger than the diameter of the holding parts.
Through these measures it is achieved that the roof poles, the struts and possibly the Auxiliary struts with the umbrella closed in mutually parallel and perpendicular to the headpiece longitudinal center axis Levels lie. As a result, these parts are close together when the umbrella is closed, so that the width of the closed umbrella is less than that of the known umbrella. It can therefore When opening the canopy, the roof poles and struts are pivoted out of the parallel position to the umbrella stick, up to such an angular position that their end position to corresponds to the fastening axis formed by the holding parts in the expanded state.
The proposed measures also prevent that if sewn imprecisely or through The warped umbrella cover dampens the frictional forces that impair the opening and closing of the umbrella in the articulation points of the roof poles, struts and, if necessary, auxiliary struts on the head piece and occur on the slides. Furthermore, the manufacturing tolerances for the recesses, the articulated ends the roof poles, struts and, if necessary, auxiliary struts and the holes provided in these larger than the known umbrellas, which simplifies production.
