Claims (13)

  1. A hot glue gun for strand-like hot glue sticks (26) with a melting chamber (22), which can be heated by a heating element (24), for heating the hot glue stick (26), which has an entry opening on one side - entry side - through which the solid hot glue stick (26) can be introduced into an elongated cavity (34) of the melting chamber (22), as well as one or more exit openings (40) through which a liquefied part of the hot glue adhesive is able to flow out of the cavity (34) of the melting chamber (22) after heating, and with, in particular, one outlet opening (28) which is arranged on a nozzle head (18) of the hot glue gun (10) and through which the hot glue adhesive that has flowed out of the melting chamber (22) can exit from the hot glue gun (10), characterized in that at least one exit opening (40) of the melting chamber (22) is arranged in such a way that the liquid hot glue adhesive can flow laterally out of the cavity (34), namely substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the cavity (34), wherein the or each exit opening (40) is formed in an elongated manner and extends as far as the end thereof opposite the entry end of the melting chamber (22) in such a way that the hot glue adhesive can also exit from the cavity (34) of the melting chamber (22) parallel to the longitudinal extent of the melting chamber (22) and the adhesive can flow out of the cavity even at the front in the longitudinal direction of said cavity (34) as a result of the extent of the exit opening (40) up to a front end wall (44) of the melting chamber (22), which front end wall runs transversely to the longitudinal extension of the cavity (34).

A hot glue gun according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that a channel (53) is formed between the at least one exit opening (40) of the melting chamber (22) and the outlet opening (28) of the nozzle head (18), through which channel the liquid hot glue adhesive can flow to the outlet opening (28) during operation of the hot glue gun.
  7. A hot glue gun according to claims 5 and 6, characterized in that a partial section of this channel (53) is formed by the cavity (52) between the at least one exit opening (40) and the wall (50) of the nozzle head (18), said wall covering this exit opening.
  8. A hot glue gun according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that, in the cavity (34) of the melting chamber (22), there extend in the longitudinal direction of the same, several, in particular wedge-like ribs (46), which are designed in such a way that they together enclose a free space (48) which tapers in the direction of the end of the melting chamber (22), said end being opposite the entry opening of the melting chamber (22), wherein the contour of the free space is matched to the outer diameter of the solid hot glue adhesive stick (26) in such a way that the adhesive stick (26), from a specific penetration depth, is prevented from further penetrating into the free space (48) by the ribs (46).

A hot glue gun according to claim 11, characterized in that the insert body (60) has in particular elongated passage openings (74) through which the liquid hot glue adhesive can flow out of the free space (64) of the insert body (60) outwards into an area between the insert body (60) and the circumferential wall (36) of the melting chamber (22).
