Definitions

  • the present invention relates to clockwork movement plates.
  • the driving and regulating members and the various cogs are mounted on the transparent elements of the frame of the movement, which presents production difficulties, in particular for the bearings. In addition, when these are visible, it affects the aesthetics of the watch.
  • the object of the present invention is the production of a clockwork movement plate which obviates the drawbacks of the aforementioned movement frames and makes it possible, thanks to technical means, to produce mystery watches, to usual size such as wristwatches, that is to say whose appearance does not allow to see how the movement is fixed in its case.
  • the subject of the invention is a plate for a clockwork movement, in particular for a skeleton watch, which is distinguished by the characteristics set out in claim 1.
  • a further subject of the invention is a timepiece movement and a timepiece comprising a movement plate according to claim 1.
  • the base or plate for a watch movement comprises two elements, a first outer part 1 made of a transparent or translucent material, preferably of sapphire, and a second central part 2 of an opaque material, generally metallic.
  • the first outer part 1 of the plate illustrated in figures 1 and 2 has fixing holes 1.1 making it possible to fix it on the tabs that the middle part of a watch case includes using screws.
  • This first outer part 1 of the plate has a central opening 1.2, the inner periphery of which 1.3 is intended to receive the second central part 2 of the plate.
  • the first outer part 1 of the plate also comprises recesses 1.4 over only part of its thickness and which open out on the central opening 1.2 and on one or the other of the upper or lower faces of the first outer part 1. These recesses 1.4 are intended to accommodate or give passage to a part of certain organs or components of the clockwork movement, mounted on the second central part 2 of the plate.
  • This first part 1 of the plate is transparent, preferably crystal or sapphire, but it could also be translucent.
  • the second central part 2 of the plate is made of an opaque material, generally metallic, and is preferably skeletonized.
  • This second central part 2 carries all the components, bridges and cogs or moving parts of a clockwork movement is illustrated alone in figures 3 and 4 and bearing all the components, bridges and cogs or moving parts of the clockwork movement to the figure 7 .
  • This second central part 2 is perforated in the example illustrated and has the shape of a skeletonized part.
  • This second central piece 2 has an external periphery 2.1 whose shape and dimensions generally correspond to the shape and dimensions of the internal periphery 1.3 of the opening 1.2 of the first external part 1 of the plate.
  • This second central part 2 of the plate can therefore be inserted, preferably exactly and practically without play, into the central opening 1.2 of this first outer part 1 of the plate and these two parts 1, 2 are secured by welding, gluing. or any other means for forming a plate 1,2 in one piece or pseudo-monobloc as illustrated in figures 5 and 6 .
  • Certain movable components of the clockwork movement pivoted on the second central part 2 extend into the recesses 1.4 of the first outer part 1.
  • the first part 1 and the second central part 2 being permanently secured to one another, they form a plate in one piece or pseudo-monobloc movement or plate supporting the various organs of the movement.
  • the plate 1,2, once assembled, can no longer be separated into two pieces, so that the movement can be taken out of the watch case in one piece without having to be disassembled.
  • the outer rim 2.1 of the second central part 2 can be in contact and permanently secured to the first outer part 1.
  • the outer rim 2.1 can comprise three or four legs which extend. radially towards the first outer part 1 and which fit into the inner periphery 1.3 of the opening 1.2 of the first outer part 1.
  • this second central part 2 serves as a support for all the elements, components, bridge, cogs and moving parts of the clockwork movement. Once mounted on this second central part 2, some of these elements of the watch movement project beyond the outer periphery 2.1 of this second central part 2 of the plate and are received in one of the recesses 1.4 made in the first outer part 1 of the turntable.
  • the plate of the movement is produced by the definitive joining of the first part 1 and of the second part 2, thus forming a single unit pseudo-monobloc supporting or housing the various members of the movement. It is also thanks to the fact that these two parts 1, 2 form a one-piece assembly that the movement can be taken out of its box without being dismantled.
  • the first outer part 1 of the plate is therefore not a simple transparent casing circle since it comprises recesses 1.4 housing or giving passage to certain moving parts of the clockwork movement.
  • the outer periphery of this first outer part 1 serves as a casing circle to fix the movement on the watch case.
  • This first part 1 of the movement plate therefore has two functions.
  • the figure 6 illustrates the two outer 1 and central 2 parts of the plate assembled to one another so as to form a unit in one piece or pseudo one-piece.
  • the figure 8 illustrates the one-piece plate 1,2 provided with the elements of the clockwork movement pivoted on the second central part 2 of the plate and partially extending into the recesses 1.4 of the first outer part of this one-piece plate.
  • the figure 9 illustrates in section a watch provided with a timepiece movement comprising a one-piece plate 1,2 according to the invention.
  • This watch comprises a case, formed in the example illustrated, of a caseband 3, a back crystal 4, a bezel 5 and an upper crystal 6.
  • the monobloc plate 1,2 carrying the clockwork movement is placed in the watch case, the first outer part 1 rests by means of first o-rings 7 on the middle part and the upper face of this first outer part 1 of the plate is pressed by means of second o-rings 8 against the underside of the bezel 5.
  • the fixing holes 1.1, as well as the o-rings 7, 8, are crossed by positioning pins 9 of which ends are housed in blind holes made in the middle part 3 respectively the bezel 5.
  • the one-piece plate 1,2 and the clockwork movement carried by the latter are thus mounted elastically in the watch case.
  • the peripheral part of the plate 1 , 2 formed of the first outer part 1 of the plate being transparent or translucent.
  • the second central part 2 of the plate could be solid, not skeletonized.
  • the fixing of the first outer part 1 of the one-piece plate 1,2 on the watch case can be carried out in a known manner, different from that illustrated and described.
  • the plate described in two parts 1, 2 made permanently integral with one another to form a one-piece assembly makes it possible to have a first transparent outer part making it possible to achieve certain optical and aesthetic effects on the watch and a second opaque central part which can be metallic allowing the traditional assembly of bridges, and the pivoting of the mobiles and cogs of a clockwork movement.
  • the clockwork movement plate comprises two parts assembled so as to form a single unit.
  • a first outer part comprising a central opening in which the second central part is secured.
  • the shape of the first outer part corresponds to the shape of a watch case in which it must be fixed using fixing means that it comprises.
  • the second central part presents all the machining, holes, tapping, drilling, etc. to allow the assembly and the pivoting of the elements, parts, bridges, cogs, moving parts, scales, springs, etc. that comprises a clockwork movement of which this second central part forms the support or the base.
  • This second central part is therefore arranged to serve as a support for the movement. clockwork but has a small surface area, less than that occupied by the moving parts of the movement, since at least some of these moving parts of the movement are housed or move in the recesses 1.4 made in the first outer part 1 of the one-piece plate .
  • the first outer piece is made of a transparent material such as sapphire while the second central piece is opaque and preferably metallic.
  • the periphery of the second central part has a shape and dimensions corresponding to a central opening made in the first outer part so as to be housed there without play.
  • the first outer part is made integral and one piece of the second central part by bonding or welding of all or part of the peripheral face of the central opening of the first outer part on all or part of the outer periphery of the second central part.
  • This one-piece plate therefore comprises a first external transparent zone formed by the first external part also serving as a casing circle and a second central opaque zone formed by the second central part used to mount and assemble the elements, bridges, cogs, moving parts, etc. . of a clockwork movement, at least some of these elements moving in housings 1.4 formed in the first part of the one-piece plate.
  • the total height of the first outer part 1 is equal or substantially equal to the height of the second central part of this one-piece plate 1,2 and that the total height of the plate 1,2 is always less than the total height movement, certain components such as bridges fixed to the second central part 2 of the one-piece plate 1, 2 protruding from either side of this second central part 2.
  • the area of the central opening of the first outer part 1.2 as well as the area contained in the perimeter of the second central part 2 is less than that of a circumference in which the complete movement is inscribed. This has the advantage of being able to place a man's or woman's watch movement of usual dimensions in a usual man's or woman's watch case while having between the middle part and the movement a transparent zone thus forming a mystery watch where the observer cannot see. not immediately how the movement is fixed in its box.
  • one-piece does not indicate that the plate has come from a workpiece but that it is in one piece, the first outer part 1, 2 being secured. of the second central part 2 by welding, bonding to any other definitive fixing means of these two parts.
