Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé servant à faire fonctionner un système de freinage de véhicules automobiles, comprenant : un dispositif d'alimentation en pression (25) à commande électrique qui comprend un ensemble piston/cylindre possédant une chambre de pression hydraulique (18) ainsi qu'un piston (19) déplaçable par l'intermédiaire d'un actionneur électromécanique (20,21) ; une pluralité de freins de roue hydrauliques (2-a, 2-b ; 2-c, 2-d) qui sont associés à deux essieux (VA;HA) du véhicule (1) et qui peuvent être alimentés en pression de freinage par l'intermédiaire de la chambre de pression hydraulique (18) ; et un capteur (10,13) servant à détecter le souhait de freinage du conducteur. Selon l'invention, un entraînement électrique (6), qui peut aussi fonctionner en générateur et qui comprend au moins un moteur électrique, est associé à au moins un essieu (HA) du véhicule et, pendant un freinage récupératif pendant lequel une temporisation de générateur est établie par l'entraînement électrique (6), l'ensemble piston/cylindre (18-20) est actionné de manière à ajuster la pression (202;303;402,403) dans la chambre de pression hydraulique (18) en fonction de la différence entre la décélération de freinage demandée (201;301;401) et la temporisation de générateur (203;304;406) établie par l'entraînement électrique (6). L'invention concerne en outre un système de freinage mettant en œuvre ce procédé, ainsi que deux utilisations du système de freinage.
