Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method and a device for sorting laundry, in particular dirty laundry, according to the preamble of claims 1 and 16.
  • laundry especially dirty laundry
  • Laundry or items of laundry of different sizes and different properties accumulate. These items of laundry of different texture and size can have different types of fabric and different colors. For this reason, items of laundry with different characteristics must be treated differently. Because of this, it is necessary to sort the laundry items before the actual laundry.
  • the items of laundry are recorded, checked for their size and quality, and sorted depending on the criteria mentioned according to the corresponding treatment steps (washing program, machine size) and any special treatments.
  • the object of the invention is to create a method and a device for sorting laundry with an increased sorting capacity.
  • a method for solving this problem has the measures of claim 1.
  • Laundry in particular dirty laundry, is placed on a conveyor and sorted by people at several sorting stations arranged along the conveyor. At at least some of the sorting stations along the conveyor, the laundry is sorted according to different sorting methods. Each sorting station is assigned a person who sorts the laundry using a predetermined sorting method.
  • the sorting way is not only to be understood as a sorting of the items of laundry according to various sorting criteria such as size and nature of the items of laundry, but also the type of sorting, namely whether the sorting is done manually or partly mechanically.
  • the laundry is also sorted at several sorting stations arranged one behind the other according to their nature and / or size according to different sorting methods.
  • the laundry is handled differently depending on the sorting method.
  • the laundry transported by the conveyor generally has a large number of individual laundry items, in particular dirty laundry items. These items of laundry can differ in their nature, that is to say shape, type of fabric, color or the like. In addition, the items of laundry can have different sizes. In general, a distinction is made between large parts and small parts or large items of laundry and small items of laundry.
  • the small parts are also known as gathering parts. But it can also be other items of laundry.
  • the small parts are usually half the size or smaller than the large parts.
  • the large parts are designed such that they are fed, for example, to a known input machine or a defect in two lanes, the small parts being such that they are fed to a input machine or defect in one lane.
  • the items of laundry mentioned here are usually flat items.
  • the large parts can be covers, passages, fitted sheets, surgical drapes, etc.
  • the small parts can be terry cloth, upholstery, etc.
  • At at least one sorting station the sorting is done purely manually and at least at another sorting station partially mechanically according to different sorting criteria.
  • the sorting method thus means not only the sorting of the laundry items according to various sorting criteria such as size and nature, but also the type of sorting, namely whether the sorting is done manually or partly mechanically.
  • the laundry items are sorted in exactly one sorting way. Large parts are sorted partly mechanically at a first sorting station, small parts are sorted purely manually at at least one subsequent sorting station, and remaining remaining items of laundry are sorted at a last sorting station.
  • the sorting method after a pre-sorting of the Laundry is set.
  • the laundry is lying on the conveyor the sorting stations is fed, the laundry items are mixed into each other and with each other, so that the identification of a single item of laundry is difficult. It is therefore envisaged that the laundry is first separated on the conveyor, especially during the sorting. This can be done mechanically by a separator or manually by the person assigned to the sorting station.
  • the laundry items are pre-sorted according to large laundry items and small laundry items or other properties.
  • This sorting is preferably done manually.
  • the person associated with a sorting station picks up a piece of laundry to determine whether it is a large or a small piece of laundry. For example, if it is a large piece of laundry, the person feeds it to the appropriate sorting station (the sorting station to which it is assigned) for further sorting. If it is a piece of laundry that is not sorted at the sorting station to which the person is assigned, this piece of laundry is put back on the conveyor and thus fed to the following sorting station. An identical pre-sorting takes place at the following sorting station.
  • This cascade sorting or cascade presorting means that once a piece of laundry has been touched, it has to be sorted out. Thus, each grab of a person after a piece of laundry leads to a sorting of the laundry. This can increase the sorting performance per person, since no unnecessary actions are carried out.
  • This pre-sorting is done manually, but can also be partially mechanized or fully mechanized.
  • An advantageous development of the method provides that multiple sorting is carried out at at least one sorting station.
  • a final sorting of the pre-sorted items of laundry is preferably carried out after a pre-sorting.
  • the items of laundry picked up by a person at the sorting station are further sorted at the same sorting station if they have the correct size, for example. If the item of laundry does not correspond to the sorting method of a previous sorting station, the item of laundry is fed to at least one subsequent sorting station.
  • items of laundry to which no sorting method can be assigned are fed to a further, in particular last, sorting station lying on the conveyor.
  • the items of laundry are sorted on the basis of sorting criteria to be defined. Pre-sorting is preferably no longer carried out at the last sorting station.
  • the items of laundry that are fed to the last sorting station are items of laundry that were not further sorted during the pre-sorting at the previous sorting stations or were returned to the conveyor.
  • These items of laundry can be, for example, damaged items of laundry, items of laundry with an unassignable nature or foreign objects.
  • each sorting station for different sorting criteria.
  • each item of laundry is fed to the collection points manually or mechanically, depending on the predetermined sorting criteria and the sorting method.
  • These collection points can be a large number of containers, such as laundry trolleys, containers or the like, arranged side by side or one behind the other. However, the collection points can also be a multitude of containers or openings arranged close together.
  • Each container of the collection point is assigned its own sorting criterion, so that items of laundry that meet this sorting criterion can be clearly assigned to this container.
  • the corresponding sorting station is provided with a plurality of containers which are aligned closely to one another and which have different sorting criteria, for example different colors.
  • the person at the sorting station who manually sorts the small parts can add the laundry parts directly to the containers according to their sorting criteria. It is envisaged that the person at the sorting station can manually reach each container at the collection point so that he does not have to move away from his position.
  • the sorting of large parts can be supported mechanically. This mechanical support enables the item of laundry to be fed, for example, along a further conveyor to a multiplicity of collection points in a row. The majority is then partly mechanically sorted into the corresponding sorting criterion showing collection point transported. With the partially mechanized sorting method, the sorting takes place according to a larger number of sorting criteria than with the purely manual sorting method.
  • the laundry items are sorted according to a sorting criterion to be entered by a person or according to a predetermined information carried by the laundry. So that the items of laundry are delivered to the correct collection points according to their type and nature, the person at the sorting station must manually enter the corresponding sorting criterion.
  • the items of laundry carry the information about the sorting criteria. This can be done, for example, using a bar code or a chip. This information is then automatically read out by the sorting station, so that manual input by the person is not necessary.
  • the items of laundry are assigned to a distribution conveyor for sorting according to their sorting criteria, in particular each item of laundry is inserted into a receptacle of the distribution conveyor or is hung in a bracket of the distribution conveyor and the item of laundry is distributed by the distribution conveyor to the collection point corresponding to the sorting criterion is fed. If it is determined after the pre-sorting that the item of laundry is a part with a certain nature, for example a large part, the item of laundry is transferred to a distribution conveyor.
  • This distribution conveyor can have receptacles such as baskets or sacks. Alternatively, the distribution conveyor can have holding means such as clips or hooks.
  • the item of laundry is then carried away along the distribution conveyor via the corresponding receptacle and fed to a collection point according to the sorting criterion.
  • the individual collection points assigned to a sorting criterion are positioned under the distribution conveyor in such a way that the items of laundry fall down into the collection point when the receptacle is released.
  • the laundry items are fed directly to at least one sorting station in the manual sorting manner by one person to those collection points to which the corresponding sorting criterion is assigned.
  • the direct feeding takes place manually directly after the laundry item has been gripped by the conveyor.
  • a final sorting takes place by picking up the item of laundry from the conveyor.
  • the final sorting consists of assigning the item of laundry to one of the sorting criteria of the Corresponding collection point.
  • the items of laundry are therefore sorted out by the conveyor as soon as they are grasped. Unnecessary sorting steps or steps are avoided.
  • large items of laundry are fed to the distribution conveyor, preferably attached to clips of the same.
  • Small items of laundry are fed directly to the collection points.
  • the remaining items of laundry that is to say items of laundry for which no final sorting took place after the pre-sorting, are fed to a last sorting station or a last distribution conveyor. It is also conceivable that the small parts are sorted first and then the large parts. The remaining laundry, on the other hand, is always sorted in the last sorting station.
  • the sorting criteria, according to which the items of laundry are to be sorted after presorting are entered at the respective sorting station by at least one input means, in particular a touch means or a touch screen, by one person each. It is also provided that the sorting criteria according to which the items of laundry are to be sorted after presorting are read from a data carrier of the item of laundry.
  • the data carrier assigned to the item of laundry can be a bar code, a chip or an RFID chip. This data carrier either has the information about the sorting criteria of the item of laundry or can be programmed in such a way that any sorting criterion can be assigned to it.
  • the receptacles and / or brackets are addressed by manual input or automatically according to the sorting criterion of the item of laundry picked up. By addressing the individual items of laundry, these are fed to the corresponding collection point. By manually or automatically entering the sorting criterion corresponding to the item of laundry, the holder or bracket is addressed according to the sorting criterion. It is thus precisely determined which collection point the item or the clamp on the distribution conveyor the item of laundry is to be fed to.
  • a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention is that the laundry is divided and conveyed to parallel conveyors, each with sorting stations lined up one behind the other, with all conveyors preferably being assigned a common last sorting station. It is thus conceivable that several parallel conveyors, on which laundry to be sorted is located, each have a plurality of sorting stations, each with one person. The sorting performance can be further increased by such a multiplication of the conveyors having sorting stations.
  • a device for solving the above-mentioned object has the features of claim 16.
  • the device has a conveyor, which transports laundry, in particular dirty laundry, along which a plurality of sorting stations are arranged.
  • the conveyors can be belt conveyors, roller conveyors or the like.
  • Sorting stations are assigned to the conveyor, at which laundry can be sorted according to different sorting methods, so that a differentiated sorting of the laundry is possible.
  • the different types of sorting include sorting the laundry according to different sorting criteria such as size and nature, but also the type of sorting, for example manually or by machine or semi-machine.
  • Each sorting station is operated by one person or loaded with laundry.
  • the laundry fed to the sorting stations can be presorted by the people at the sorting stations.
  • Pre-sorting determines the sorting method that determines the handling of the laundry for the further sorting process.
  • the pre-sorting of the laundry is followed by a final sorting.
  • successive sorting stations along the conveyor are designed for different types of sorting. For example, a sorting station at which the laundry is sorted by machine is followed by a sorting station at which the laundry is sorted manually; or the other way around.
  • the sorting criteria for the laundry can be manually entered directly by the person at the sorting station using input means. To do this, the person must first inspect the laundry according to its sorting criteria.
  • data carriers are assigned to the laundry or data carriers are integrated in the laundry on which the sorting criterion of the item of laundry is stored.
  • These data carriers can be bar codes, chips or RFID chips, for example.
  • the sorting criteria for the laundry can thus be read in at the sorting stations.
  • the data carrier can either be guided past a reading unit by the person, or the data carrier is automatically read in by a reading unit in the sorting station.
  • each sorting station is assigned at least one collection point for each sorting criterion of the laundry items.
  • This collection point can be a plurality of containers, such as containers or sacks, arranged one behind the other or next to one another. But it is also conceivable that the containers are boxes that have a coherent structure form next to the sorting station. A sorting criterion is assigned to each of these boxes after the items of laundry are sorted in the final sorting. These collection points or boxes are arranged in such a way that the person at the sorting station can add the laundry items to the boxes without giving up their position at the sorting station.
  • the invention provides that the laundry items can be fed to the collection points from the sorting station via a distribution conveyor.
  • the distribution conveyor can be an endless rail system that has movable receiving means or holding means with which the items of laundry can be conveyed. Collection points for different sorting criteria are arranged under the distribution conveyors. The items of laundry can thus be assigned via the distribution conveyor to collecting points with the corresponding sorting criteria.
  • a further embodiment of the present invention provides that reading devices are assigned to the distribution conveyor for reading out the data carriers integrated in the laundry parts.
  • the distribution conveyors have receptacles and / or clamps to which the items of laundry can be assigned and from which the items of laundry can be sorted.
  • the pictures can be baskets or the like.
  • the brackets can also be other holding means such as hooks.
  • Data storage devices are assigned to the receptacles and / or the brackets on the distribution conveyors.
  • the sorting criteria according to which the items of laundry are to be sorted can be stored with these data memories. So every holder or clamp is like this addressable that the item of laundry picked up can be assigned to the corresponding collection point.
  • the invention relates to sorting different items of laundry or items of laundry for cleaning them.
  • the invention provides for increasing the sorting performance.
  • the laundry items are sorted by means of a device 10 ( Figure).
  • the items of laundry are fed to an initial region 11 of one or more conveyors 12.
  • the laundry is transported along a transport direction 13 on the conveyor.
  • the conveyor 12 can be a belt conveyor, a roller conveyor or another conveyor.
  • the laundry which consists of a multiplicity of items of laundry 36, 37, can either be fed to the conveyor 12 singly or only mechanically or manually separated on the conveyor 12.
  • a plurality of sorting stations 14, 15, 16 and 17, 18, 16, respectively, are assigned to the conveyor 12 in the transport direction 13.
  • two conveyors 12 run in parallel, but are assigned to the same sorting station 16.
  • the number and arrangement of the sorting stations is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown in the figure, but rather can have a large number of conveyors 12. It is preferably provided that the device has only one conveyor 12 with at least one sorting station 14, 15 and optionally with a last sorting station 16.
  • a person 19 to 23 is assigned to each sorting station 14 to 18. Each of these people 19 to 23 is responsible for one sorting station 14 to 18. For example, person 19 is responsible for sorting laundry at sorting station 14 (FIG.).
  • the items of laundry 36 are sorted according to a predetermined sorting method.
  • a sorting method includes both the type of sorting, For example, manually or partially mechanized, as well as sorting according to various sorting criteria.
  • the person 19 first pre-sorts the laundry at the sorting station 14. With this sorting, the person 19 determines whether the item of laundry is a large part (large item of laundry) or a small part (small piece of laundry). If it is a large part, the person 19 adds the item of laundry to a receptacle or a clamp of the distribution conveyor 24. What follows is the final sorting. The item of laundry is then assigned to the collection point 27 or the container 30 having the appropriate sorting criterion via the distribution conveyor 24. For this purpose, the person 19 manually addresses each receptacle or clamp by the sorting criterion of the corresponding item of laundry.
  • the sorting criteria can be, for example, a color, type, size or the type of fabric of the item of laundry. It is also conceivable that the items of laundry each carry a data carrier, for example a bar code or a chip or an RFID chip, on which the sorting criterion for the item of laundry in question is stored. In this case, the person 19 can either pull the data carrier of the item of laundry along a reading device at the sorting station 14 or at the distribution conveyor 24, or the distribution conveyor 24 or the sorting station 14 have corresponding automatic input areas, such as a scanner, with which the recordings are then made or brackets can be addressed.
  • a data carrier for example a bar code or a chip or an RFID chip
  • the first sorting stations 14, 17 and the last sorting station 16 in the transport direction 13 each have a distribution conveyor 24, 25, 26.
  • These distribution conveyors 24 to 26 preferably form an endless rail system, on each of which receptacles (not shown) are provided for receiving the laundry items.
  • These receptacles can be baskets, for example, which can be guided along the rail system of the distribution conveyors 24, 25, 26.
  • holding means such as clips or hooks, can be assigned to the rail system of the distribution conveyors 24, 25, 26, each of which can hold a piece of laundry 36.
  • Collection points 27, 28, 29 are assigned to the distribution conveyors 24, 25, 26. These collection points 27, 28, 29 can have any number of containers 30.
  • a sorting criterion is assigned to each of the containers 30. The entirety of all containers 30 covers all sorting criteria according to which the items of laundry can be sorted. Items of laundry which are guided from the receptacles or from the clamps along the rail system to the distribution conveyors 24, 25, 26 are dropped by the item according to the sorting criterion of the item of laundry over the corresponding container 30. Items of laundry with the same sorting criterion are thus assigned to the same container 30.
  • the person 19 determines that the item of laundry is not a large part, but rather a small part, this is put back on the conveyor and fed to a sorting station 15 following in the transport direction 13. If person 20 determines at sorting station 15 that the pre-sorted item of laundry is a small part, final sorting takes place at sorting station 15.
  • the sorting station 15 is assigned its own collection point 31. This collection point 31 consists of an arrangement of boxes 33. It is preferably provided that, for example, eight such boxes 33 form a collection point 31. But there can also be more or fewer boxes. A sorting criterion is assigned to each box 33, according to which the items of laundry to be sorted are to be sorted.
  • the collection point 31 is positioned such that the person 20 at the sorting station 15 can manually feed the laundry to be sorted to the boxes 33.
  • the person 20 does not need to move away from his position.
  • the sorting criterion of the item of laundry which the person 20 has picked up is determined by a scanner, for example, just as in the sorting station 14.
  • the corresponding box 33 sends a signal to the collection point 31. This signal can be either acoustic or visual.
  • the person 20 then adds the item of laundry to the box 33 emitting the signal.
  • the sorting station 16 is no longer pre-sorted, but directly a final sorting according to a variety of predefined sorting criteria.
  • a person 21 picks up the item of laundry and adds it to a distribution conveyor 26.
  • the distribution conveyor 26 then assigns the item of laundry according to its sorting criterion - exactly as described above for the sorting station 14 - to a container 30 of the collection point 28.
  • the items of laundry which are assigned to the last sorting station 16 are incorrectly sorted items of laundry, defective items of laundry, items of laundry to which no sorting criterion could be assigned by the previous sorting stations, or foreign objects.
  • the person sorts 19 large parts, with a sorting output of 500 kg / h to 2000 kg / h, preferably 1200 kg / h.
  • the following sorting station 15 is designed for sorting small parts or gathered parts. At this sorting station 15 it is provided according to the invention that 400 kg / h to 1500 kg / h, preferably 900 kg / h, of laundry is sorted.
