Definitions

  • a rail passenger transport rolling stock comprises a plurality of vehicles connected to one another. Each vehicle comprises a platform on which is mounted a plurality of seats for passenger comfort.
  • a vertically stepped vehicle comprising an upper platform and a lower platform which each comprise a plurality of seats.
  • Such a staged vehicle is known to those skilled in the art under the term "duplex" vehicle and is known inter alia from the document EP 2 030 860 A1 .
  • a staged vehicle conventionally includes an access door through which travelers can enter the vehicle interior.
  • the threshold of the access door is conventionally located at an intermediate height between the lower platform and the upper platform of the stepped vehicle.
  • stairs are provided, on the one hand, between the threshold and the lower platform and, on the other hand, between the threshold and the upper platform.
  • the presence of stairs is a major disadvantage for people with reduced mobility because they are an obstacle to overcome (risk of falling, etc.).
  • PMR For people with reduced mobility (PMR), we mean both a person in a wheelchair, a person with a disability (motor, visual, etc.), a person with large or heavy luggage.
  • inclined traffic means both a staircase that a slope or an inclined plane.
  • people with reduced mobility can access the upper platform of the vehicle without fear and without hindrance.
  • the use of at least two lanes of inclined traffic limits their angle of inclination and thus facilitate the rise and fall of people with reduced mobility.
  • the inclinations of the traffic lanes are opposed so as to limit the size of the upper traffic path in the vehicle.
  • the traffic lanes are adjacent.
  • the capacity of the vehicle is not affected by the use of inclined channels.
  • the upper circulation path is formed instead of stairs of the prior art so as not to degrade the services or comfort offered by a vehicle according to the prior art.
  • a first lane connects the access threshold to an intermediate bearing, the second lane connecting the intermediate bearing to the upper platform.
  • the intermediate bearing ensures the transition between the two lanes to access the upper platform.
  • the intermediate bearing extends horizontally so as to facilitate, for example, the orientation of a wheelchair between the traffic lanes.
  • the upper traffic lane consists of a first lane, an intermediate bearing and a second lane. More preferably, the intermediate bearing is located at a longitudinal end of the vehicle. More preferably, the intermediate bearing is located at a vertical height between that of the lower platform and that of the upper platform.
  • the vehicle comprises a communication path to another vehicle accessible from the intermediate bearing.
  • the access threshold is located at one end of an inclined traffic lane of the upper circulation path.
  • the access threshold is located substantially in the center of the vehicle.
  • the access door and the access threshold are advantageously placed in the center to allow the upper traffic path to extend only on one side of the vehicle so as to limit its size.
  • the access door could be placed at various positions of the vehicle depending on the configuration of the rolling stock to facilitate the arrangements (access to the seats of people in wheelchairs, ).
  • the access threshold is a low noise area compared to the prior art since the latter is away from the ends of the vehicle and therefore bogies of the vehicle that generate noise. A traveler can thus call from the access threshold in improved acoustic conditions.
  • the inclined traffic lanes have a degree of inclination of between 8% and 15%, preferably less than 12%.
  • a traffic lane with an inclination angle of less than 8% has an excessive space requirement while a traffic incline with an angle of inclination greater than 15% is too steep to be raised or lowered by a person with reduced mobility.
  • the degree of inclination is less than 8% and preferably less than 6%.
  • a traffic lane comprises several successive portions of different angles of inclination.
  • the inclined traffic lanes have a width of between 55 cm and 75 cm. Such lanes allow easy movement of people with reduced mobility without overly limiting the volume available to travelers in the vehicle.
  • a traffic lane comprises an enlarged portion so as to allow the crossing of two persons with reduced mobility. This width is preferably increased between 80 and 100 cm for wheelchair accessible passages.
  • the inclined traffic lanes have a length of between 6 m and 10 m.
  • the vehicle comprises, at a first longitudinal end, an upper communication channel adapted to access another vehicle and, at a second longitudinal end, an intermediate communication path adapted to access another vehicle.
  • the vehicle is not symmetrical along its length to allow a person with reduced mobility to access another vehicle without using stairs.
  • the vehicle comprises a free space for technical or service to travelers, including a luggage compartment, located under the second traffic lane of the upper traffic lane.
  • the upper traffic path performs a dual function by allowing to receive luggage and thus allow the establishment of additional seats in lieu of the luggage lodgings located on the lower and upper platforms.
  • the traffic lanes are in the form of stairs and / or traffic slopes.
  • a first lane of traffic may be under the shape of a slope while the second traffic lane is in the form of stairs. This advantageously allows the movement of persons with reduced mobility between vehicles when the traffic lanes are connected by intermediate bearings located at the longitudinal ends of the vehicles.
  • the traffic lanes are in the form of traffic slopes.
  • the circulation path connecting the access threshold to the upper platform, comprises at least two inclined traffic slopes.
  • Traffic slopes ie inclined planes
  • a traffic gradient is also not very prone to wear which improves the life of a railway vehicle.
  • the presence of traffic slopes also allows the circulation of a catering trolley on any floor of the vehicle which improves the services offered to passengers.
  • the traffic slopes make it possible to increase the capacity of passengers when they are about to get off the vehicle. Travelers who do not get off at the next station are thus isolated from the noise generated by the descent of other travelers.
  • the invention also relates to railway rolling stock comprising at least one vehicle as presented above.
  • the figure 1 represents a stepped vehicle 1 of railway rolling stock for the carriage of passengers according to the invention.
  • the vehicle 1 is generally in the form of a parallelepiped and has side walls 6 in which are traditionally mounted windows.
  • the vehicle 1 comprises a lower platform 10 and an upper platform 20 which each extend horizontally along substantially the entire length of the vehicle 1.
  • the upper platform 20 is located vertically above the lower platform 10 to form a stepped vehicle said "duplex".
  • Each platform, lower or upper 20, comprises a plurality of seats S for the comfort of the passengers who are ordered in lateral rows spaced according to the length of the vehicle 1.
  • each side wall 6 of the vehicle 1 comprises at least one access door 2 with an access threshold 3 to allow a traveler to enter the interior of the vehicle 1 from a platform of a station.
  • the access threshold 3 is in the center of the vehicle, that is to say, in the middle of the vehicle 1 considered along its length.
  • the vehicle 1 comprises, on the one hand, an upper circulation path 4 which connects the access threshold 3 to the upper platform 20 and, on the other hand, a lower traffic path 5 which connects the threshold access 3 to the lower platform 10.
  • the upper circulation path 4 comprises a first inclined flow path 41, an intermediate bearing 43 and a second inclined flow path 42.
  • the flow paths 41, 42 are in the form of sloping traffic but it goes without saying that they could be in the form of two stairs, two slopes or a staircase and a slope.
  • the intermediate bearing 43 is in the form of a horizontal platform providing the transition between the first inclined circulation slope 41 and the second inclined circulation slope 42. As shown in FIG. figure 1 the intermediate bearing 43 is located at a longitudinal end of the vehicle 1 and at a vertical height between that of the lower platform 10 and that of the upper platform 20.
  • the first inclined flow slope 41 connects the access threshold 3 to the intermediate bearing 43 while the second inclined flow slope 42 connects the intermediate bearing 43 to the upper platform 20.
  • the first inclined flow slope 41 extends in the vicinity Immediate side wall 6 of the vehicle 1 in which is formed the access door 2. In other words, after having crossed the access door 2, the first inclined traffic slope 41 is thus directly accessible to the traveler.
  • the second inclined traffic slope 42 extends in the immediate vicinity of the first inclined traffic slope 41, the traffic slopes 41, 42 being adjacent so as to form an upper circulation path 4 of reduced size.
  • the second inclined flow slope 42 opens at the upper floor 20 at the center of the vehicle 1, above the access threshold 3.
  • the first sloping circulation slope 41 and the second inclined slope 42 have a degree of inclination of between 8% and 15%, preferably less than 12% so as to ensure a compromise for, on the one hand, facilitating the progression of passengers, including persons with reduced mobility, on driving slopes 41, 42 (low inclination) and, on the other hand, limiting the length of driving slopes 41, 42 (high inclination) ).
  • the inclined traffic slopes 41, 42 have a width of between 55 cm and 75 cm (excluding passage for wheelchair users) to facilitate the movement of people with bulky luggage or pushchairs.
  • a traffic slope 41, 42 may comprise an enlarged portion 41L, between 80 and 100 cm, to facilitate the crossing of travelers who descend and climb the traffic slope 41, 42.
  • the inclined traffic slopes 41, 42 have substantially the same length, of the order of 6 to 8 meters, preferably 7 meters.
  • the traffic slopes extend along half the length of the vehicle 1.
  • the upper circulation path 4 is laterally secured to allow travelers to ensure their balance during the ascent or descent of the upper traffic path 4.
  • the first inclined traffic slope 41 is secured, on one side, by the side wall 6 of the vehicle 1 and, on the other hand, by a support wall 44 of the second inclined slope 42 as illustrated in FIGS. Figures 2 and 3 .
  • the support wall 44 extends vertically under the second circulation slope 42.
  • the second inclined slope 42 is secured, on one side, by a vertical partition wall 45 of the upper platform 20 and, on the other hand, by a railing 46 to prevent lateral tilting of a traveler and limit the risk of falling.
  • a gripping bar 47 may also be provided on the support wall 44 of the second inclined slope 42 to facilitate movement on the first traffic slope 41 as shown in FIG. figure 2 .
  • the support wall 44 of the second inclined slope 42 comprises at least one housing 8 adapted to receive passenger luggage, the housing 8 being advantageously accessible from the first inclined slope 41.
  • the luggage is housed under the second slope 42.
  • the upper circulation path 4 thus fulfills a dual function by allowing, on the one hand, access to the upper platform 20 and, on the other hand, to accommodate luggage which maximizes the number of seats. on platforms 10, 20.
  • the vehicle 1 comprises a lower traffic path 5 which connects the access threshold 3 to the lower platform 10, the latter having a vertical height less than that of the access threshold 3.
  • the lower circulation path 5 comprises an inclined traffic slope of short length, of the order of one meter in order to reach the lower platform 10.
  • the access threshold 3 can also itself be inclined to reach the lower platform 10 as represented on the figure 6 .
  • the slope of the slope of the lower circulation path 5 is, in this example, between 8% and 15%.
  • the rail vehicle 1 comprises at each of its longitudinal ends a communication channel 7I, 7S with another vehicle 1 with which it is connected. Subsequently, the terms left and right are defined in relation to the figure 4 which represents a railway vehicle 1 extending longitudinally from left to right.
  • the vehicle 1 comprises, at its left longitudinal end, a first communication channel 7I from the intermediate bearing 43 of the upper circulation path 4.
  • the first communication channel 7I is at a vertical height intermediate to the access threshold 3.
  • the vehicle 1 comprises a second communication channel 7S from the upper platform 20 as shown in FIG. figure 4 .
  • the second communication channel 7S is at a vertical height greater than the access threshold 3.
  • the communication channels 7I, 7S of a rail vehicle 1 are designated: intermediate communication channel 7I and channel superior communication 7S.
  • the orientation of a vehicle 1 is defined subsequently according to the orientation of its communication channels 7I, 7S.
  • the vehicle 1 of the figure 4 has an IS orientation since its intermediate communication channel 7I is located on the left and its upper communication channel 7S is on the right.
  • a vehicle 1 has a SI orientation when its upper communication channel 7S is located on the left and its intermediate communication channel 7I is located on the right.

  • the connection between two vehicles 1 by their intermediate communication channels 7I can be used, for example, for the establishment of sanitary blocks 9 on the intermediate bearing 43 as shown in FIG. figure 7 .
  • the intermediate bearing 43 serves the inclined slopes 41, 42 of the upper circulation path 4, a sanitary block 9 and the intermediate communication channel 7I to another vehicle.
  • the person P then climbs the first traffic slope 41 in an easy and secure manner with the help of the gripping bar 47. If the person P has luggage, it can deposit them in the housing 8 provided for this purpose located in the support wall 44 of the second circulation slope 42. During its rise of the circulation path 4, the person P arrives at the intermediate bearing 43 which allows him to pause during his ascent on a flat platform or access, for example, to the sanitary block 9 ( Figure 7 ). It then suffices for the person P to climb the second traffic slope 42 to access the upper platform 20 before returning to his seat S. Access to the seat S is easy and little anxiety for a person with reduced mobility because of the absence of steps or stairs.
  • the upper circulation path comprises a lower inclined slope connecting the threshold to the intermediate bearing and an inclined circulation staircase connecting the intermediate bearing to the upper platform.
  • the upper circulation path comprises a first lower stair connecting the threshold to the intermediate bearing and a second upper stair connecting the intermediate bearing to the upper platform.
  • Such stairs are advantageous in comparison with a single staircase according to the prior art, the high inclination and size have drawbacks.
  • the use of two stairs with low and opposite inclines facilitates access for people with reduced mobility while maximizing the useful space in the vehicle for luggage or toilet installation.
