Definitions
- the invention relates to a sealing arrangement for shaft and tunnel structures.
- Manhole and tunnel structures are regularly composed of individual monolithic prefabricated components (tubbings), between which there are contact joints, which are sealed with suitable seals, for example to prevent ingress of surrounding medium (for example water).
- suitable seals for example to prevent ingress of surrounding medium (for example water).
- Generic sealing arrangements are for example from the DE 102005039253 . DE 102005039056 . US 4946309 . EP 0222968 . EP 0441250 and EP 0995013 known.
- an elastic sealing profile is introduced into a circumferential groove around the butt sides of the tubbing.
- the sealing effect of the sealing system is achieved when assembling the tubbings by pressing the sealing profiles of adjacent segments facing each other in the joints against each other (compression seal).
- the restoring forces caused by the compression ensure a reliable seal, provided that the generated compression pressure exceeds the external pressure applied to the seal.
- a problem of known sealing arrangements is that in an offset of the tubbings against each other due to positioning errors, the desired mirror-symmetrical arrangement of the sealing elements is not present and the contact of the two sealing profiles takes place only on a reduced support share, resulting in a reduced pressure. This increases the risk of leakage.
- Object of the present invention is to improve the sealing of joints between components of manhole and tunnel structures, so that a reliable seal of manhole and tunnel structures is achieved in particular even at a displacement of the components.
- the sealing arrangement according to the invention provides for the first time sealing profiles, which are not uniform and not mirror-symmetrical in terms of their elasticity properties with an offset-free arrangement.
- Each sealing profile has regions of different hardness arranged alternately along the contact plane, wherein the arrangement of the regions of different hardness of the sealing profiles differs from one another, so that in the deployment situation without offset, a "hard” region essentially lies opposite a "soft” region.
- a hard area of a sealing profile is at least substantially pressed onto or into a soft region of the opposite sealing profile in the case of installation without offset.
- At an offset at least a portion of the hard portion of one seal profile faces a hard portion of the other seal profile adjacent the soft portion.
- regions of different hardness is understood to mean parts of an elastic sealing profile which have different restoring forces in the direction of the end face of the sealing profile or the contact plane between two sealing profiles.
- a “hard” or “harder” range is understood to mean a region of a sealing profile which has a higher restoring force than a comparison region.
- a “soft” region or “softer” region is understood to mean a region of a sealing profile which has a lower restoring force than a comparison region.
- a “region” here is preferably a part of the sealing profile, which is bounded by the front side and the base side of the sealing profile as well as by one flank side and the adjacent region or by two adjacent regions. The regions of different hardness need not necessarily be from the base side, i.
- the "hardness" of a sealing profile can be adjusted in various ways known to those skilled in the art, for example by selecting a suitable material with a suitable Shore hardness and / or by providing cavities or channels in the sealing profile.
- the "hardness" of a sealing profile can also be influenced by the shape of cavities or channels provided in the sealing profile.
- transverse direction when the term “transverse direction” is used here, it is meant a direction that is perpendicular to the profile longitudinal plane and runs substantially parallel to the end face of the sealing profile or to the contact plane between two Dichtungsgprofilen.
- profile longitudinal plane is meant a plane which extends in the longitudinal direction of the Dichtungsgprofils, which includes the central longitudinal axis of the sealing profile and is perpendicular to the end face of Dichtungsgprofils or the contact plane.
- alternatively arranged regions it is meant that regions of different hardness are arranged alternately in the transverse direction behind and behind each other, for example, as viewed from a flank side of the sealing profile, a soft region follows a hard region and again follows a soft region.
- range-hardening combinations are possible, for example, soft-hard / hard-soft, soft-hard-soft / hard-soft-hard, soft-hard-soft-hard-soft / hard-soft-hard-soft hard, etc.
- soft areas of one sealing profile have at least 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 or at least 55%, compared to the respectively assigned hard areas of the other area, given a prestress a 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 or 50% lower restoring force.
- the components may be made of concrete, metal, plastic, wood or other materials, e.g. Composite materials, exist.
- the regions can preferably be permanently connected to one another by coextrusion, adhesive bonding or other processes known and suitable to the person skilled in the art.
- the regions of different hardness are arranged with an offset arrangement of the sealing profiles such that one region of a sealing profile in each case directly opposite a region of the sealing profile associated with this sealing profile with a different hardness, ie two opposite regions of different hardness lie with their central axes each in a plane perpendicular to the contact plane common plane.
- a hard area of a sealing profile therefore lies directly opposite a soft area of the opposite sealing profile.
- opposing regions of different hardness do not overlap. But it is also possible that overlap areas of different hardness even with offset arrangement of the sealing profiles at least partially. For example, in the soft-hard-soft / hard-soft-hard combination, it may be so that the inward soft regions each contact a portion of the two outer soft regions of the opposing sealing profile.
- the regions may have different shore hardnesses of the material making up the respective region and / or different profile geometries. Different profile geometries preferably result from a different size and / or arrangement and / or shape of cavities or channels in the sealing profile.
- each of the sealing profiles of the sealing arrangement according to the invention has at least one area with a first hardness and at least two areas with a hardness different from the first hardness.
- each of the sealing profiles has a total of three areas, wherein two areas preferably have the same hardness and a preferably central area has a higher or lower hardness on the other hand.
- one of the sealing profiles has an inner soft region and two flanking outer hard regions and the opposite sealing profile has an inner hard region and two flanking outer soft regions.
- sealing profiles with more than three, for example four, five, six or seven alternating hardness ranges.
- one area is centrally located and the other areas flank symmetrically this central area.
- the lying on the flanks (lateral outer sides) of the sealing profile areas taken together have the same contact surface as the central region. Any regions lying between the flank regions and the central region preferably each have the same contact surface as the central region.
- the regions of differing hardness, taken together, form substantially an equal contact area, i. All soft regions of a sealing profile form a contact surface which essentially corresponds to the contact surface formed by the hard regions of the sealing profile.
- the sealing profiles are made of elastomeric material.
- elastomeric materials are natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), butyl rubber (IIR), ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM), butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber (NBR), hydrogenated acrylonitrile rubber (HNBR), chloroprene rubber (CR), chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM), polyacrylate rubber (ACM), polyurethane rubber (PU), silicone rubber (Q), fluorosilicone rubber (MFQ) and fluororubber (FPM).
- natural rubber NR
- SBR styrene-butadiene rubber
- IIR ethylene-propylene rubber
- EPDM butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber
- HNBR hydrogenated acrylonitrile rubber
- CSM chloroprene rubber
- CSM chlorosulfonated polyethylene
- ACM polyacrylate rubber
- PU polyurethane rubber
- the invention in a second aspect, relates to a sealing profile for components of manholes and tunnels, wherein the sealing profile has the shape of a substantially rectangular frame with four sides, and wherein the sealing profile in the transverse direction perpendicular to the profile longitudinal plane alternately arranged regions of different hardness and opposite sides each have a different arrangement of the regions of different hardness in the transverse direction.
- the regions of the sealing profile may preferably be permanently interconnected by coextrusion, gluing or other methods known and suitable to the person skilled in the art.
- a sealing profile according to the second aspect of the present invention is particularly advantageously used in a sealing arrangement according to the first aspect of the present invention.
- Sealing profiles for components of manhole and tunnel structures usually form a substantially rectangular frame, which is used for example in a circumferential groove in the butt sides of the components.

- the sealing profile preferably has at least one region with a first hardness and at least two regions with a hardness different from the first hardness.
- two adjacent sides of the sealing profile have an inner soft region and two flanking outer hard regions, and the remaining sides have an inner hard region and two flanking outer soft regions.
- the sealing profile is preferably made of elastomeric material, as indicated above.
- the invention provides a tunnel or manhole structure comprising a seal arrangement or a sealing profile according to the first or second aspect of the invention.

- FIG. 2 schematically shows a cross section through a seal assembly for Betontübbings according to the prior art, as shown for example in the US 4946309 is described. Shown is a part of two with their abutting sides 3 adjacent components 2. The butt sides 3 of the components 2 form a joint 4 and each have a circumferential around the abutting sides 3 groove 14, in each case an elastic sealing profile 5 is introduced. With the profile end faces 16 to a contact plane 6 adjacent sealing profiles 5 are arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to the contact plane 6 and seal the joint 4 from. On the profile base side 15 groove grooves 18, 5 channels 11 are provided in the interior of the sealing profile.
- FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the sealing arrangement according to the invention 1. Corresponding features are denoted by the same reference numerals as in Fig. 2 designated.
- a sealing profile 5 is introduced in each case. Shown is a part of two juxtaposed with their abutting sides 3 components 2. The here in the unpressed state and without offset against each other illustrated sealing profiles 5 abut each other with the profile end faces 16 in the contact plane 6 and bridge in this way the joint 4.
- the sealing profiles have groove grooves 18 on the profile base side 15 and channels in the illustrated embodiment 11 and are fixed for example by gluing in the groove 14.
- the sealing profiles 5 are configured with respect to the contact plane 6 is not mirror-symmetrical.
- the sealing profiles 5 differ in the arrangement of areas 7, 8 different hardness.
- the different hardness of the regions 7, 8 has been generated in the embodiment shown here by selecting different Shore hardness of the elastomeric material used for the respective area 7, 8.
- Both sealing profiles 5 have three areas 7, 8, which are arranged alternately in the transverse direction 9.

- a hard region 8 of one sealing profile 5a lies directly opposite a soft region 7 of the other sealing profile 5b with an equally large contact surface on the contact plane 6, and vice versa.
- the areas 7, 8 do not overlap in the non-offset state, ie, a hard area 8 of one sealing profile 5a does not overlap the respective opposite soft area 7 of the other sealing profile 5b.
- Both sealing profiles 5 are in this embodiment with respect to the profile longitudinal plane 10 each mirror-symmetrical.
- the sum of the contact surfaces, ie the sum of the surfaces with which the sealing profiles 5 rest against one another in the offset-free state in the contact plane 6, is here for the soft and hard regions 7, 8 essentially the same.
- the contact surfaces of the two hard regions 8 of the right-hand sealing profile 5b thus add up to a surface which essentially corresponds to the contact surface of the central region 7.
- the central hard area 8 of the one sealing profile 5a overlaps the corresponding hard section 8 of the opposite sealing profile 5b lying to the side of the profile flank 17, whereby the reduction of the contact surface between the sealing profiles can be compensated.
- FIG. 4 shows two different variants of a seal assembly according to the invention 1. For better clarity, only the two Sealing profiles 5 shown. Across from Fig. 3 the sealing profiles are shown here tilted by 90 °. In Fig. 4A are the sealing profiles 5 off Fig. 3 reproduced again enlarged.
- the different hardness of the regions 7, 8 realized by different Shore hardness of the material used for the areas 7, 8 respectively.
- the hard area 8 of the above relative to the contact plane 6 sealing profile 5a has a higher Shore hardness than the corresponding opposite region 7 of the underlying sealing profile 5b.
- each opposite in the non-offset state regions 7, 8 is the same for both sealing profiles 5, ie, the number, shape and arrangement of the channels 11 is the same, ie mirror-symmetric with respect to the contact plane 6.
- the hard areas 8 and the soft areas. 7 each have substantially the same Shore hardness with each other. However, it is also possible for different Shore hardnesses to be provided, which in the case of soft regions 7, however, are in each case smaller than in the case of the hard region 8 which is opposite each other in the non-offset state Fig. 4B an embodiment is shown in which different area hardnesses are generated by the profile geometry.
- the central hard area 8 of the in the figure above the contact plane 6 lying sealing profile 5a has a comparatively larger volume of material, since the channels 11 are designed in comparison with the opposite region 7 of lying below the contact plane 6 sealing profile 5b with a smaller cross-section , The same applies to the hard areas 8 which flank the central soft area 8 of the sealing profile 5b.
- the hardness of a region can be adjusted by the number, the size and also by the shape of the cavities or channels 11. The larger the proportion of solid material in the volume of the respective area, the harder it is in general.
- Fig. 5 shows very schematically an exemplary arrangement of several abutting components 2 with a preferred embodiment of the profile seal 5 according to the invention in a side view. Shown are two rows of four components 2, the abutting sides 3 are equipped with a circumferential frame-like sealing profile 5. Of the four sides 12a, 12b, 12c and 12d of the sealing profile 5, two adjacent sides 12a, 12b and 12c, 12d are formed identically, ie with an identical one Area arrangement provided, while opposite sides have different area arrangements. The sides 12a and 12b, for example, have an arrangement of the areas 7, 8 in which a central hard area 8 is flanked by two soft areas 7, while the sides 12c and 12d have the reverse arrangement. In the side view, only the flank sides 17 of the sealing profile 5 can be seen. The sides are connected to each other in the corner regions 19. Three examples of preferred embodiments of the corner regions 19 are lower left in FIG Fig. 5 outlined.

Description
DE 102005039253 ,DE 102005039056 ,US 4946309 ,EP 0222968 ,EP 0441250 undEP 0995013 bekannt.
