Der Mahlteller wird durch ein unterhalb des Mahltellers im Rollenmühlengehäuse angeordnetes Getriebe mit vertikalem Abtrieb und einen ausserhalb des Rollenmühlengehäuses aufgestellten Antriebsmotor in Rotation versetzt. Weiter ist es möglich, auch über angetriebene Mahlrollen, deren Antriebs-Motor-Getriebeeinheit sich ausserhalb des Rollenmühlengehäuses befinden, den Mahlteller in Rotation zu versetzen. Es sind damit unterschiedliche Antriebsvarianten für den Mahlteller möglich. Es können je nach Grösse der Rollenmühle zwei oder mehrere Mahlrollen 5 angeordnet sein. Der Mahlteller 3 wird durch einen unterhalb des Mahltellers 3 angeordneten zentralen Antrieb oder über angetriebene Mahlrollen 5 in Rotation versetzt. Es sind somit unterschiedliche Antriebsvariationen der Rollenmühle möglich oder Kombinationen der einzelnen Antriebsvariationen machbar. Die Mahlrollen 5 werden über die Mahlrollenwellen 6 in mit Wälzlager bestückten Lagergehäusen 7 gelagert, die ausserhalb des Rollenmühlengehäuses 2 auf Betonfundamenten bzw. Betonsockeln 9 befestigt sind. Zwischen den Lagergehäusen 7 der Mahlrollenlagerung und den Betonfundamenten bzw. Betonsockeln 9 befinden sich sogenannte Scherenhubtische 8, die mittels einer integrierten hydropneumatischen Federung die Mahlrollen 5 innerhalb des Rollenmühlengehäuses 2 auf das auf dem Mahlteller 3 liegende Mahlgut pressen und den Mahlprozess ausführen. Die Scherenhubtische haben darüber hinaus die Funktion, die Mahlrollen 5 gegen Tangentialkräfte zu stabilisieren und für die Mahlrollen 5 nur eine reine Vertikalbewegung zuzulassen. Das bedeutet, eine Kippung der Mahlrollen 5 wird durch die Scherenhubtische 8 wirkungsvoll unterbunden. Die Scherenhubtische 8 mit den darauf befestigten Mahlrolleneinheiten bzw. Maschineneinheiten stehen auf fixierbaren Fahruntersätzen, wodurch die Mahlrolleneinheiten bzw.
