Description

Un tel équipement est connu du document JP 100 86246 .The invention relates to the field of packaging. It relates more specifically to equipment for the implementation of bags from lining the inner walls of packaging cartons in an automated product packaging chain. It is understood that the generic term "cartons" will denote in the following any type of container capable of receiving products and whose inner walls are able to receive in lining bags intended, for example, to protect packaged products, which it is cardboard strictly speaking, or trays for example made of plastic, wood, or light metal, solid walls or clear. Such equipment is known from the document JP 100 86246 .

Bags intended to come lining the internal walls of such containers are usually made of plastic film, for resistance and sealing issues. In a known manner in certain packaging lines, those applying to the packaging of bulk products in particular, the bags are initially presented stacked one behind the other on support rods to which they are suspended. They are threaded on these rods by eyelets they have for this purpose in the vicinity of their upper edge. The stems are typically two in number. Going through the eyelets of the different bags, they are engaged through all the wall thicknesses of a stack of a predefined number of bags.

In order to be able, by means of an automated mechanical device, to easily and reproducibly release the different bags of the stack in succession, it is known to provide the latter with zones of weakness, in the vicinity of the suspension eyelets that each of them they entails. Whatever the shape taken by these zones of fragility - additional orifices, slots, etc. - their creation on at least one of the wall sheets of each of the bags, however, generates an additional manufacturing cost thereof. .

The present invention aims at providing a machine for lining packaging cartons with stored stacked bags, a machine that can implement simple bags and at a reduced cost, while optimizing the available volume within each carton intended to receive the products to be packaged for optimal packaging of said products.

According to one of its features, a machine according to the invention comprises a device for gripping and disengaging the bags which is articulated and which combines means of horizontal displacement and vertical sliding means for perform two successive movements: a first translational movement, of low amplitude, in a direction parallel to the stacking direction of the bags on the support rods, and a second translational movement perpendicular to the same direction. This movement is advantageously directed towards the carton in which the bag is to be inserted.

The machine according to the invention also includes means for automatically conveying cartons to a bag insertion station that it comprises. As a non-exclusive example, these automatic routing means may be in the form of a conveyor on which the cartons are driven one by one to scroll to the bag insertion station. The latter comprises means for detecting the presence of a cardboard ready to receive a bag, and means for transmitting the presence information of such a cardboard to a control unit which then automatically controls, on the one hand , stopping the conveyor on which the cartons scroll, and, on the other hand, the movements of the bag gripping device.

In the machine according to the invention, the first translational movement effected by the articulated gripping device results from an aspiration, by means in itself conventional that said gripping device comprises, from the front sheet of the bag to be gripped, and the second translational movement is induced by the displacement of the articulated gripping device in a direction perpendicular to the stacking direction of the bags on the support rods. The second movement is preferably directed to the carton in which the bag is to be put in place. In other words, after a slight suction of the front sheet of the bag, preferably made closer to the suspension eyelets, the articulated gripping device operates a movement which leads said front sheet of said rubbing bag against the back sheet of the same bag to separate these two sheets from one another to open the bag, similar to the movement between two fingers by a person wishing to separate the two sheets of a plastic bag to open the latter.

During this second movement of the articulated gripping device, the front sheet of the sacked bag is naturally torn off the support rods, without it being necessary to previously arrange on this sheet any area of weakness other than that which naturally constitute the eyelets for hanging from the bag to the support rods.

The machine according to the invention also comprises, according to another of its characteristics, a shaper which is controlled to move, on the one hand, for pressing the outer walls of the bag against the inner walls of the cardboard, and, on the other hand, to fold against the upper part of the outer faces of this cardboard the upper part of the outer walls of said bag. The height of the bags is, in fact, advantageously previously determined to be substantially greater than the depth of the cartons, so as to facilitate subsequent filling operations by products to be packaged, as well as the operations of sealing the bags before closing the cartons. The automatic control of the shaper occurs when one of the bags has been opened by the articulated gripping device, for example and non-exclusively on the basis of information transmitted to the control assembly when the second movement of the articulated gripping device is completed.

In its principle and in its simplest, non-limiting version, this shaper is in the form of four fingers whose length is greater than the maximum height of the boxes in which the bags must be placed. Running parallel to the height of the carton, these fingers are interconnected by a set of rails which are perpendicular to them and along which they are able to slide in directions parallel to the directions of the upper edges of the carton, so as to define a volume similar to the interior volume of the carton.

Initially grouped and automatically controlled, since the front and rear sheets of the bag have been separated by the articulated gripping device, to be placed within the cavity formed by said bag thus grasped and opened, the four fingers are then moved downwards to be inserted in the carton, substantially to the bottom thereof, and then moved to move away from each other and come respectively to each inner corner of said carton.

In their downward movement to the bottom of the carton, these fingers, dragging the bag in which they were received, also naturally cause the back sheet of the latter, which is then completely detached from both the support rods and of the articulated gripping device to which he was still attached. In addition, in their movements towards the interior corners of the carton, the fingers of the shaper drive the bag, which is thus pressed against the inner walls of this cardboard.

To complete the introduction of the bag in the carton, the fingers of the shaper are then automatically ordered to move in translation to the top of the carton and, once reached the upper part of the latter, to deviate further so as to stand near the outer corners of it. They are then at again ordered to move downward towards the bottom of the carton, such that they cause, in their displacement, the upper part of the outer walls of the bag to be pressed against the outer walls of said carton to form a flange. The height of the walls of the bag is for this purpose greater than the depth of the cardboard. Once this is done, the fingers of the shaper are again automatically ordered to regroup waiting for the establishment of a next bag in a next carton.

According to other advantageous embodiments of the invention, the shaper may consist of two groups of two plates, full or perforated, an inner group and an outer group, the inner group plates ensuring the cladding of the outer walls of the bag against the inner walls of the carton, and the outer group plates making the outer flap of the bag on the outer top of the carton.

Whatever the embodiment chosen, the walls of the bag produce a reproducible internal liner of the walls of the carton, preventing any contact between them and the products to be packaged and thus meeting requirements of cleanliness and protection of the products.

The machine thus constituted of its carton conveyor, its bag support device, its articulated unit gripping device bags, its shaper and its control assembly, thus allows a reproducible and precise implementation bags in cartons. By the configuration of the shaper and the movements of the latter, it ensures the preservation of the entire interior volume of each carton, to ensure an optimal volume of packaging. In addition, by its articulated bag gripping device, it guarantees the reproducible unitary gripping of each bag to be placed in a carton, without the need to use bags on which a specific weakening zone has been used. previously arranged. Putting into effect very simple and low-cost manufacturing bags, the machine according to the invention thus makes it possible to reduce the packaging costs of the products.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become more clearly apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment, but not limiting, of the machine according to the invention, and the figures that this detailed description comprises, namely:
  • the figure 1 , which is a schematic overview of the main elements of the machine according to the preferred embodiment of the chosen invention,

As shown in figure 1 the machine according to the invention comprises a conveyor 1 for moving packing boxes 2, a bag feed station 3 made of plastic material, and a unitary insertion station for each of the bags 3 in a carton of pack 2 conveyed by the cartons transport conveyor. The bag insertion station in the cartons comprises an articulated unit gripping device 4 of the bags and a shaper 5 which carries out the actual insertion of each of the bags in each of the boxes conveyed by the transport conveyor.

The machine according to the invention further comprises a control station 6, not shown in the figures, in which are grouped the automatic control means of its various elements, as well as the various interfaces necessary for its use by an operator and the different automatic safety devices necessary for its operation.

According to different variants not shown in the figures, the machine according to the invention may also include, for the purpose of supplying the transport conveyor 1, one or more unfolding station packing cartons from folded preforms.

The conveyor scroll 1 conveys the cartons in the machine such that they are presented successively unitarily in front of the bagging station and the bag insertion station in the cartons.

The plastic bagging station includes a bag magazine, more specifically illustrated by the figure 2 , which is in the form of a reversible flat plate, each face of which comprises a holding bracket 31 and two support rods 32 intended to be threaded through the suspension eyelets 300 of a stack of plastic bags 3 . Each support rod 32 is slightly curved at its end to prevent slippage of the stack of bags out of said rods. Maintaining the stack of bags is reinforced by the holding bracket 31 behind which is placed the stack of bags when inserted into the bag store. The bag magazine being reversible, it can be loaded with a stack of bags on one side of the plate 30, while the bags of the stack previously loaded on the opposite side thereof are individually inserted in the cartons conveyed by the conveyor 1 and appearing individually in the bag insertion station. The operation of loading a stack of bags is thus done in masked time while another stack of bags is used by the machine, which increases the efficiency of the machine according to the invention. When the battery placed on one of the sides of the bag magazine has been completely consumed, the plate 30 is automatically controlled, on the basis of information transmitted to the control station 6 by an end-of-pile detection system. door, rotate one-half turn on itself to present the newly loaded stack of bags to the articulated gripping device 4 to insert them in new packaging boxes 2 running on the conveyor 1.

Le dispositif articulé de préhension unitaire 4 des sacs est plus précisément illustré par les figures 3 et 4.The articulated unitary gripping device 4 of the bags is more precisely illustrated by the Figures 3 and 4 .

It comprises a support rail 40 arranged substantially horizontally, in the vicinity of one end of which is fixed a gripping plate 41. At its opposite end (not shown in the figures), the support rail 40 is connected to a non-detailed arm on the Figures, movable to move or move said support rail from the bag store. The gripping plate 41 is substantially rectangular in shape and is arranged parallel to the support rail 40, preferably above and in front of the latter with respect to the stack of bags presented by the bag store. It is symmetrical with respect to its vertical axis, and its front face is facing the front sheet of the extreme bag of the stack of bags to be inserted into the packing cartons, as clearly illustrated by figure 3 .

The plate 41 (see figure 4 ) is hollow and pierced, at each end of its front face intended to come into contact with the front sheet of a bag, a group of orifices 410 around which is placed a seal 42 made for example of an elastomeric material. A holding plate 43, pierced with a central orifice 430 whose shape is complementary to that of the perimeter of the group of orifices 410, is attached and fixed to each end of the plate 41 so that it sandwiches the seal 42.

The plate 41 is, moreover, pierced, on its rear face and in the vicinity of each of its ends, with an orifice 45 through which it is connected, by a set of tubes 46, to a pneumatic vacuum circuit. 47, not detailed in the figures. A solenoid valve not shown in the figures, controlled by the control unit 6 of the machine, is inserted on the tubing 46, between the orifices 45 and the pneumatic vacuum circuit.

The group of orifices 410 thus directly connects the pneumatic suction device 47 and the outside, via the internal volume of the hollow plate 41, and this connection is sealed by the presence of the seals 42 taken sandwiched between the front face of the plate 41 and the holding plates 43. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention illustrated by the figures, the pneumatic suction device preferably operates according to the principle of the Venturi effect, by otherwise known in itself.

On the rear face of the plate 41, and in the vicinity of the vertical axis Z1 of the latter, is fixed, vertically, a connection plate 48 of substantially rectangular shape which comprises, on its rear face, connecting means with the front face of the support rail 40. These means provide a vertical sliding connection between said support rail and the assembly formed of the plates 48 and 41. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention illustrated by the figures, these connecting means consist of a groove formed vertically rearward face of the plate 48, and cooperating with a set of rollers or complementary bearings placed on the front of the support rail.

It should be noted that, as an alternative embodiment not illustrated by the figures, the plates 41 and 48 may be made in two half-plates symmetrically arranged on the support rail 40 with respect to an axis Z1, half-plates whose spacing can be adjusted according to the width of the packing cartons and that of the bags to be inserted, thus increasing the versatility of the machine.

The operation of the articulated gripping device as just described in its preferred embodiment is as follows.

As soon as one of the packaging boxes traveling on the conveyor 1 enters the bag insertion station, a set of detectors / transmitters, for example photocells, transmits to the control station 6 of the machine a piece of information. presence of cardboard. On the basis of this information, the conveyor 1 is automatically stopped, and the movable arm carrying the support rail 40 is then automatically controlled to move the rail horizontally to the bag store to place the front face of the gripping plate 41 against the front sheet of the end bag of the pile that faces it in the bag store in use.

The solenoid valve placed between the orifices 45 of the gripping plate 41 and the pneumatic vacuum circuit 47 is then automatically controlled to open: the front sheet of the bag is thus sucked against the gripping assembly formed by the gripping plate 41, the seals 42 and retaining plates 43. Concomitantly, the movable arm carrying the support rail 40 is automatically controlled to print said rail a horizontal movement of very small amplitude to move away from the pile of bags, then the connecting plate 48 is automatically controlled to perform a vertical translation movement of small amplitude.

During the vertical translation movement, the front sheet of the bag, previously pressed by suction against the front face of the gripping plate 41, rubs against the rear face of the same bag and is detached from it. In addition, the force exerted by the gripping device on the front sheet of the bag is sufficient to tear this sheet before the support rods to which it is attached by the suspension eyelets that it carries and which constitute zones of natural fragility of the bag. It should be noted that the tearing of the front sheet of the bag will be made all the easier as the thickness of said sheet, and therefore that of said bag, will be low: in addition to the implementation of standard bags simply drilled with suspension holes, the machine according to the invention therefore allows the implementation of lightweight bags, reducing the total weight of the packaging thus produced.

The movable arm carrying the support rail 40 is then automatically controlled, for example on the basis of a vertical translation end information transmitted by a limit switch, to move said support rail away from the bag stack: the seized bag is thus open, its back sheet is still linked to the support rods of the bag store.

Le conformateur 5 est plus précisément illustré par la figure 5.The shaper 5 is more precisely illustrated by the figure 5 .

The shaper 5 consists of four substantially vertical plates symmetrically mounted in pairs on a support rail 52 which is perpendicular thereto and which is arranged parallel to the support rail 40 which accommodates the plate 41 for gripping the bags. The support rail 52 is itself secured to a vertical bracket 53 along which it is slidable to move the plates of the shaper towards or away from the bottom of a carton 2.

The plates of the shaper are in the form of two groups each comprising two plates, hereinafter referred to as "external" and "internal", respectively 50 and 51. These two groups mounted symmetrically relative to each other. the other on the support rail 52 and able to slide along the latter in such a way that, in their sliding, they move away from or approach each other symmetrically with respect to a vertical axis Z2 passing substantially by the middle of the support rail 52. This defines a rest position of the shaper, wherein the plates are grouped substantially in the middle of the support rail 52, above a cardboard placed in the bag insertion station and ready receiving a bag, and a set of working positions in which said plates are more or less distant from each other symmetrically with respect to the axis Z2, and more or less remote from the internal volume of the aforementioned carton.

The outer plates 50 are solid and formed into angles along their vertical edges. Their general shape is rectangular, and their greatest length is vertical. They are each carried by a sliding plate 500 along the support rail 52.

The internal plates, 51, substantially rectangular, are perforated: according to the embodiment illustrated by the figures, they are formed of wire a few millimeters in section, folded to form a rectangle whose long length is vertical, stiffened by two son vertices joining the short lengths of the rectangle. Each plate 51 is mounted on a vertical rod 510 connected to the corresponding plate 500 by a vertical sliding connection. Whatever the position of the shaper, the secondary plates 51 are placed between the main plates 50. In the rest position of the shaper, the secondary plates 50 extend farther down than the main plates 50: in others In other words, the lower part of the secondary plates 51 penetrates the cavity formed by an open bag before the lower part of the main plates 50 does so.

The plates 51 are also arranged relative to each other so that their lower parts are closer to each other than their upper parts, which facilitates the insertion of the shaper within the cavity formed by the open bag by the articulated gripping device.

Enfin, l'écartement entre chaque plaque externe 50 et la plaque interne 51 qui lui est liée par l'intermédiaire d'une tige support 510 et d'une platine 500, prédéfini, est légèrement supérieur à l'épaisseur de paroi d'un carton d'emballage 2.Finally, the spacing between each outer plate 50 and the inner plate 51 which is connected thereto via a support rod 510 and a predefined plate 500 is slightly greater than the wall thickness of a packing carton 2.

Le fonctionnement du conformateur 5 est le suivant. The operation of the shaper 5 is as follows.

The shaper is in its rest position during gripping operations and opening a bag by the articulated gripping device. Once a bag is grasped and opened by the articulated gripping device, the support rail 52 of the shaper is automatically controlled, for example from a limit signal of the articulated gripping device, to slide downward to achieve the desired effect. inserting the lower part of the inner plates 51 into the cavity formed by the open bag. At the same time, the plates 500 of the shaper are controlled to deviate from each other with respect to the central axis Z2 of the support rail 52: it follows that the two groups of external plates 50 and internal 51 deviate from each other until the bag is fully open.

The support rail 52 is then controlled to slide vertically downwardly along the bracket 53, and at the same time, the inner plates 51 are also controlled to slide vertically along the rods 510 which carry them. During these combined movements, the bag is driven into the packaging carton placed in the bag insertion station. In this movement, its back sheet, which had remained connected to the support rods 32 of the bag magazine, is torn from them, and its front sheet, previously retained by suction against the plate 41 of the articulated gripping device, is released of the latter, the solenoid valve controlled by the suction device being simultaneously closed automatically. The maximum spacing of the secondary plates 51 between them, predefined according to the type of cardboard placed in the insertion station, being slightly less than the inside width of said carton, the bag is then pressed against the inner walls of the cardboard box. packaging.

It should be noted that the relative positions of the outer and inner plates of the shaper are defined in such a way that, when the inner plates are near the bottom of the packaging board to press the plastic bag, the upper part of said carton is located between said inner plates and the lower part of the outer plates, the angles forming the vertical edges of the latter being fitted around the top of the vertical edges of the carton and thus ensuring a retention in place thereof while the bag is pressed against its inner walls.

The inner plates are then controlled to slide vertically upwards in a low amplitude motion, while the support rail 52 is in turn slid vertically downward, driving the outer plates with it. In this movement, the upper part of the bag is folded against the outer walls of the upper part of the carton, forming a flap on the latter. It should be noted that during this movement, the angles forming the vertical edges of the outer plates act as a guide for the correct formation of the flap of the bag on the entire outer periphery of the cardboard.

Once the flap formed, the entire shaper is controlled to return to its rest position.

The bag having been inserted in the packaging carton, and perfectly lining its inner walls and the upper part of its outer walls, the conveyor 1 can then be ordered to restart to route a new cardboard in the bag insertion station of the machine according to the invention.

The invention thus makes it possible to simply carry out the insertion of a bag into a packaging carton. In particular, by the combined movements of its articulated gripping device, it implements bags of simple and inexpensive manufacture, not requiring the realization of weakening zones other than those it carries for their suspension to support rods .

The invention can not however be limited to the examples and means described herein, and it extends in particular to all equivalent means and any technically operative combination of such means as defined by the claims.
