Claims (15)

  1. A visual privacy screen (2) for use outdoors, in particular in and between detached homes and townhouses, on balconies and patios, or as a property boundary indicator, having two metal vertical bracing pipes (6, 8) and two metal, in particular horizontal transverse rods (10, 12) and a two-dimensional insert (22), which can be disposed in the frame formed by the bracing pipes (6, 8) and transverse rods (10, 12), and the vertical bracing pipes (6, 8) are mountable with respect to a foundation (4), and the two-dimensional insert (22) can be fastened in place between the two horizontal transverse rods (10, 12) by means of flexible, elastic tensioning elements (28) on at least one side, characterized in that the vertical bracing pipes (6, 8) have insertion openings (14, 16) into the interior of the bracing pipes for the two transverse rods (10, 12), the inside opening area of which openings corresponds essentially to the outer dimension of the transverse rods, so that the transverse rods can be inserted by hand into the insertion openings (14, 16) and received therein substantially radially without play but also displaceably; and that the tensioning elements (28) and their tensioning force are selected such that a tensioning force on the transverse rods (10, 12) is exerted transversely to their longitudinal extent, which tensioning force positions the transverse rods (10, 12) in the insertion openings (14, 16) of the vertical bracing pipes (6, 8) nondisplaceably relative to the vertical bracing pipes (6, 8), so that the visual privacy screen stays in its intended installed position.
  2. The visual privacy screen of claim 1, characterized in that the vertical bracing pipes (6, 8) have an outer diameter of 80-150 mm, in particular 80-120 mm, and/or that the horizontal transverse rods (10, 12) have an outer diameter of 40-80 mm, in particular 40-60 mm.
  3. The visual privacy screen of claim 1, characterized in that the insertion openings (14, 16) of one of the bracing pipes are embodied as through openings.
  4. The visual privacy screen of claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that in addition, one base element (32) each is provided, which can be secured by a bottom plate (34) to the foundation (4) and has a projection (36), in particular tubular, for the applicable vertical bracing pipe (6, 8) to be slipped onto or inserted into.
  5. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, having a concrete foundation.

  7. The visual privacy screen of claim 4, 5 or 6, characterized in that the projection (36) has a radial protrusion (38), on which the applicable vertical bracing pipe (6, 8) rests and is thus retained on the base element (32) at a distance from the bottom plate (34).
  8. The visual privacy screen of claim 4, 5, 6 or 7, characterized in that the vertical bracing pipe (6, 8) and the projection (36) of the base element can be fixed against one another by means of radially extended locking screws.
  9. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, characterized in that the two-dimensional insert (22) has a plurality of eyelet-like securing openings (26) on its periphery for the elastic tensioning elements (28).
  10. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, characterized in that the two-dimensional insert (22) is formed by a flexible tarpaulin (24).
  11. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, characterized in that the tensioning elements (28) have an elastic portion (44) that is closed in looplike fashion and a tenterhook (46).
  12. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, characterized in that one of the horizontal bracing pipes (6, 8) has a longitudinal slot or a rail that the two-dimensional insert engages by means of peripheral cording, and the insert (22) is tensed on the opposite side by means of the flexible, elastic tensioning elements.
  13. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, characterized in that along at least one of the bracing pipes (6, 8) or one of the transverse rods (10, 12), on the side toward the two-dimensional insert, an elongated lighting device is provided, which preferably has a linear array of LED lighting sources.
  14. The visual privacy screen of claim 13, characterized in that for receiving the elongated lighting device, the bracing pipes (6, 8) or transverse rods (10, 12) have a slotted portion (48) on their side oriented toward the two-dimensional insert (22).
  15. The visual privacy screen of one or more of the foregoing claims, comprising the following components: vertical bracing pipes (6, 8) with horizontal insertion openings (14, 16); horizontal transverse rods (10, 12); a two-dimensional insert (22); flexible, elastic tensioning elements (28) for the two-dimensional insert; and optionally a base element (32) for securing the privacy screen to a foundation.
