Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Packung (1) bestehend aus einem Behälter (2) und einem Deckel (3), wobei der Deckel am Behälterrand (4) über eine Siegelschicht befestigt ist. Erfindungsgemäß weist die Behälterwand zumindest im Bereich des Behälterrandes eine zum Behälterinneren hin ausgeformte Vertiefung (7) auf.

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Packung bestehend aus einem Behälter und einem Deckel mit einer Grifflasche, wobei der Deckel am Behälterrand über eine Siegelschicht befestigt ist, und wobei die Behälterwand zumindest im Bereich des Behälterrandes eine zum Behälterinneren hin ausgeformte Vertiefung aufweist.
  • Packungen der eingangs genannten Art sind aus der US 7 217 434 B1 und der US 3 318 487 A bekannt und werden beispielsweise für Lebensmittel verwendet. Zu diesem Zweck werden die Behälter mit Lebensmitteln befüllt und anschließend mit dem Deckel verschlossen.
  • Das Deckelmaterial weist an der dem Behälter zugewandten Seite eine Siegelschicht auf, über welche die Deckel mit Hilfe von Siegelwerkzeugen am Behälterrand befestigt werden. Durch diesen Verschluss werden die Lebensmittel gegen das Eindringen von Luft, Feuchtigkeit und Verunreinigungen geschützt.
  • Dennoch ist die Packung verbraucherfreundlich, da sie sich ohne zusätzliche Hilfsmittel öffnen lässt. Dies erfolgt durch Anwendung einer so genannten Aufreißkraft, die notwendig ist, um den Deckel vom Behälter abschälen zu können.
  • Werden die Behälter mit Lebensmitteln befüllt, so ist es ein vorrangiges Ziel bei der Auswahl der Materialien, dass diese den Bestimmungen des Lebensmittelgesetzes genügen. Für Milchprodukte eignen sich als Behältermaterialien insbesondere Polystyrol, Polypropylen sowie Polyethylenterephtalat. Als Deckelmaterial werden vorzugsweise Aluminiumfolien oder Folienverbund, enthaltend Polymere, Papier oder Aluminium, eingesetzt, siehe WO 99/29 508 A .
  • An die vorgenannten Materialien sowie Verpackungalösungen werden immer höhere Anforderungen gestellt.
  • So werden aus Gründen der erleichterten Handhabung und verbesserten Optik gemäß der vorerwähnten US 3 318 487 Verpackungen mit einem taillierten Packungsbehälter vorgeschlagen. Die am Packungsbehälter dafür erzeugten Vertiefungen werden formgleich auf den Deckel übertragen. Da dieser allerdings gleichzeitig mit einer Grifflasche versehen ist, muss bei der Herstellung dieser Deckel mit einem erhöhten Materialverbrauch (Verschnitt) gerechnet werden.
  • Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es daher, eine Verpackungslösung mit reduziertem Materialverbrauch bereitzustellen, welche gleichzeitig den gesetzlichen Erfordernissen sowie dem Kundenbedarf entspricht.
  • Erfindungsgemäß wird eine Packung mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 vorgeschlagen.
  • Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der erfindungsgemäßen Packung sind gemäß Unteransprüchen offenbart.
  • Die Herstellung eines Deckels für die erfindungsgemäße Verpackung erfolgt beispielsweise gemäß der Lehre der WO 98/26 931 , wobei in einem kontinuierlichen Verfahren mittels Druckmarken die Deckelform auf dem Deckelmaterial aufgebracht und die Deckel anschließend entsprechend dieser Druckform ausgestanzt werden.
  • Die Herstellung eines Behälters für die erfindungsgemäße Packung erfolgt beispielsweise mittels Thermoformung - siehe US 3 318 487 , wobei die Behälterform sowie die in der Behälterwand vorliegende Vertiefung unter Verwendung von Matrizen- und Patrizenwerkzeugen gebildet wird.
  • Die Erfindung wird im Folgenden anhand von möglichen Ausführungsformen der Erfindung sowie anhand von beispielhaften Darstellungen gemäß Fig. 1 bis 12 auch in Verbindung mit aus dem Stand der Technik bekannten Verpackungen näher erläutert.
  • Dabei zeigen die Fig. 1 und 2 eine bekannte Packung 1 mit einem Behälter 2, welcher eine Vertiefung 7 in Form eines Kreissegmentes aufweist. Gemäß Fig. 3 wird ein Folienmaterial 9 für die Herstellung des Deckels 3 gezeigt.
  • Fig. 4, 5 und 6 zeigen die erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltung des Deckels 3a mit einer Ausnehmung 10 und einer Grifflasche 11. Die Fig. 7 und 8 zeigen einen Behälter 2a, welcher für die erfindungsgemäße Packung geeignet ist und mit einer V-förmigen Vertiefung 7a versehen ist. Dieser Behälter kann bekanntermaßen mit einem sechseckigen Deckel 3b verschlossen werden, welcher aus einem Material wie in Fig. 9 gezeigt hergestellt werden kann. Die Fig. 10, 11 und 12 zeigen allerdings für die Erfindung geeignete polygonale Deckel 3c, welche eine Ausnehmung 10a und eine Grifflasche 11a aufweisen.
  • Durch die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Packung soll das Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung der Deckel so effizient wie möglich ausgenutzt werden. Dies ist insofern erforderlich, als die Ressourcen für Aluminium limitiert und die mitunter von Kunden gewünschten Materialverbunde in ihrem Aufbau derart komplex sind, so dass auch aus diesen Gründen eine Einsparung des Ausgangsmaterials notwendig ist.
  • So können, wie in Fig. 3 gezeigt, auf einer Verpackungsmaterialfolie 9 mittels Druckmarken die Dimensionen der Deckel 3 angebracht werden. Die Verpackungsmaterialfolie kann beispielsweise aus Aluminium oder einem Mehrlagenverbund aus einer siegelfähigen Polypropylenschicht und daran anschließenden Polyethylenschichten bestehen. Da die Deckel 3 keine Grifflasche aufweisen, ist nahezu kein Materialverschnitt beim Ausstanzen der Deckel zu erwarten. Dennoch ist für den Verbraucher eine vereinfachte Handhabung beim Öffnen der Packung 1 - siehe Fig. 1 und 2 - gewährleistet, da der Behälter 2 zumindest in seinem Randbereich 5 eine Vertiefung 7 der Art aufweist, dass im Bereich der Vertiefung mittels Daumendruck der Deckel 3 vom Behälterrand 4 abgezogen werden kann. Um diesen Vorgang zu erleichtern, kann mitunter im Behälterrand eine Sollbruchstelle 8 vorgesehen sein, welche für den Verbraucher das Anfassen des Deckels 3 beim Einleiten des Öffnungsvorganges erleichtert, wobei im Zuge der Kraftanwendung ein Teilbereich 5' aus dem Behälterrand 8 herausgerissen wird.
  • Die Behälter 2 werden beispielsweise derart hergestellt, dass eine Polystyrolfolie einer Heizeinheit zugeführt wird, so dass das Polystyrol in einen weichelastischen Zustand gebracht wird. Anschließend wird die weichelastische Folie mittels Thermoformung unter Verwendung von Matrizen- und Patrizenwerkzeugen bearbeitet. Diese Werkzeuge sind dergestalt, dass einerseits die Vertiefung 7 im Behälterrand 8 sowie der Behälterrand 6 entsprechend Fig. 1 und 2 gebildet werden können.
  • Die Behälter 2 können nunmehr gelagert oder aber unmittelbar nach deren Herstellung befüllt und mit entsprechenden Versiegelungswerkzeugen unter Verwendung der ausgestanzten Deckel 3 verschlossen werden. Sollte dennoch der Wunsch bestehen, eine Öffnungshilfe in Form einer Grifflasche vorzusehen, so wird dies anhand der Fig. 4, 5 und 6 näher erläutert.
  • Anhand von Fig. 6 wird ein materialsparendes Verfahren zur Herstellung der Deckel 3a gezeigt. Dabei werden auf der Verpackungsmaterialfolie 9 Druckmarken derart gesetzt, dass jeweils eine Grifflasche 11 in eine Ausnehmung 10 des benachbarten Deckels eingreift. So kann eine Vielzahl von Deckeln 3a ausgestanzt werden, ohne jedoch unnötig Ausgangsmaterial zu vergeuden. Da üblicherweise der Deckel in seiner Dimension auch dem Behälter angepasst werden muss, eignet sich hierzu das bereits geschilderte Thermoformungsverfahren, da nunmehr die Ausnehmung 10 im Deckel 3a passgenau mit der Vertiefung 7 im Behälterrandbereich 5 übereinstimmt. Die Grifflasche 11 selbst überragt den Behälterrand 4, was aber das Gesamterscheinungsbild der Packung 1a nicht beeinflusst, da Verbraucher an Öffnungshilfen wie die Grifflasche 11 gewöhnt sind.
  • Oftmals besteht auch der Wunsch, sich durch die Form der Packung bewusst von Mitbewerbsprodukten zu unterscheiden. Auch diese Verpackungslösung kann mit Hilfe der vorliegenden Erfindung in einfacher Weise und kostensparend gelöst werden, wie dies anhand der Fig. 7 bis 9 erläutert wird.
  • So wird gemäß Fig. 9 ein Folienmaterial 9 eingesetzt, auf welchem mit Hilfe von Druckmarken die sechseckige Form des Deckels 3b aufgebracht ist. Die Druckmarken werden derart positioniert, dass jeweils die Deckel 3b wabenartig angeordnet sind, so dass lediglich im Randbereich der Folie 9 mit Folienabfall zu rechnen ist. Auch im Hinblick auf sechseckige Deckel, welche an die jeweilige Behälterform 1b angepasst werden müssen, kann auf das Thermoformverfahren zurückgegriffen werden, mit dem Unterschied, dass hier eine U-förmig Vertiefung 7a von Vorteil ist, da dort mittels Daumendruck in einfacher Weise der Öffnungsprozess, d.h. das Abschälen der Deckel 3b vom Rand 4a erfolgen kann.
  • Eine besonders phantasiehafte Ausgestaltung der Deckel 3c wird anhand der Fig. 10 bis 12 erläutert. Wie aus Fig. 12 zu ersehen, wird ein polygonaler Deckel mit Hilfe von Druckmarken auf der Folie 9 vorgegeben, wobei die Ausnehmung 10a der Vertiefung 7a entspricht. An der gegenüberliegenden Seite ist eine Grifflasche 11a vorgesehen, welche zum Zwecke der Materialeinsparung in die Ausnehmung 10a des benachbarten Deckels eingreift. Werden die Deckel 3c ausgestanzt, so ist lediglich im Randbereich oder Folie 9 mit unerwünschten Abfällen zu rechnen.
  • Zusammenfassend kann gesagt werden, dass durch die erfindungsgemäße Packung einerseits Folienmaterial für die Behälterdeckel eingespart und andererseits eine besonders phantasiehafte Form der Deckel bzw., in Anpassung dazu, der Behälter erreicht wird. Obzwar mit Hilfe dieser Verpackungslösung eine bewusste Unterscheidung zu Mitbewerbsprodukten erzielt wird, ist diese dennoch gleichzeitig verbraucherfreundlich und ermöglicht es, bedingt durch den Verschluss mittels einer Siegelnaht, dass das abgefüllte Packungsgut, wie Lebensmittel, gegen Verunreinigungen, wie Luft, Feuchtigkeit oder Bakterien, geschützt ist.

Claims (10)

  1. Packung (1a, 1c) bestehend aus einem Behälter (2, 2a) und einem Deckel (3a, 3c) mit einer Grifflasche (11, 11a), wobei der Deckel am Behälterrand (4, 4a) über eine Siegelschicht befestigt ist, und wobei die Behälterwand (6, 6a) zumindest im Bereich des Behälterrandes (4, 4a) eine zum Behälterinneren hin ausgeformte Vertiefung (7, 7a) aufweist, und der Deckel(3a, 3c) eine Ausnehmung (10, 10a) entsprechend der Vertiefung (7, 7a) der Behälterwand (6, 6a) besitzt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass an der der Ausnehmung (10, 10a) gegenüberliegenden Seite des Deckels die Grifflasche (11, 11a) vorgesehen ist, welche bei der Herstellung des Deckels (3a, 3c) zum Zwecke der Materialeinsparung in die Ausnehmung (10, 10a) des benachbarten Deckels eingreift.
  2. Packung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Vertiefung die Form eines Kreissegmentes (7) besitzt.
  3. Packung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Vertiefung (7a) V-förmig ist.
  4. Packung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Deckel (3c) polygonal ist.
  5. Packung nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Behälter sechseckig ist.
  6. Packung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Deckel (3a, 3c) eine Drucklackschicht aufweist.
  7. Packung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Deckel (3a, 3c) geprägt ist.
  8. Packung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Siegelschicht oberflächenrau ist.
