Definitions
- the invention relates to a headlamp for vehicles according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a headlight for vehicles which has a number of LED light sources combined on an LED field.
- the LED light sources of the LED field can be individually controlled by means of a control device, so that, depending on sensor data of a sensor device detecting the position of an object in the area in front of the vehicle, areas of a predetermined light distribution can be left out in order to prevent undesired glare from the other road user in front of the vehicle prevent.
- a headlight for vehicles with a single light module, which consists of a number of LED light sources and an upstream optical unit. Several light modules are not combined with one another to produce a predetermined light distribution.
- a headlamp for vehicles with a light module containing a number of LED light sources and an optical unit is known, the optical unit consisting of a primary and a secondary optical element. Different light distributions can be generated by the different design of the primary optical element. A combination of several light modules is not intended.
- a headlight with only a single light module containing a number of LED light sources and an optical unit is provided.
- a headlight is provided for vehicles with several light modules, each of which has a number of LED light sources and an upstream optical unit. To generate a light distribution, however, one of the light modules is movably arranged.
- a headlight for vehicles which on the one hand has a first light module containing a number of LED light sources and an upstream optical unit and on the other hand a second light module containing a number of LED light sources and an upstream optical unit.
- the LED light sources are each arranged on a substrate to form an LED field. Due to the fact that the optical units have different imaging characteristics, light bundles with light spots of different sizes can be generated in front of the vehicle, so that a predetermined light distribution, such as low-beam light distribution or motorway light distribution, can be generated by superimposing them. Since at least two optical units are required to generate a single light distribution, the headlight has a relatively large installation space. By superimposing the first light module and the second light module, the low beam light distribution or the motorway light distribution can be generated. A combination of the two light modules is always required to generate the specified light distribution.
- the object of the present invention is to further develop a headlight for vehicles in such a way that the effort for generating predetermined light distributions which illuminate the vehicle surroundings is reduced, in particular while avoiding glare from objects located in the vehicle apron.
- the invention has the features of claim 1.
- the particular advantage of the invention is that only a single light module is required to generate a light distribution.
- the light module has at least one LED light source and a single optical unit.
- the space required for generating a light distribution can thus be reduced, which has a particularly favorable effect when there is a need to generate a plurality of light distributions.
- a first light module has at least a first LED light source and a first optical unit, such that a first light beam is emitted with a relatively wide horizontal and / or vertical opening angle.
- a second light module has at least one LED light source and an optical unit such that a second light beam is emitted with a relatively narrow horizontal and / or vertical opening angle.
- the first light beam can advantageously be used to generate a low beam distribution and the second light beam can be used to generate a motorway light distribution and / or a dynamic cornering light distribution.
- the second light module preferably has an LED field with a plurality of LED light sources arranged in a matrix, the specified additional light distribution (motorway light distribution, cornering light function) can be switched on to the low beam distribution generated by the first light module by controlling the corresponding LED light sources.
- the type of additional light distribution determines the number and position of the LED light sources controlled in the LED field.
- a sensor device for detecting objects located in the vehicle apron and a control device for controlling the LED light sources of the second light module are provided, so that the switching on an additional light distribution by controlling the corresponding LED light sources of the second light module as a function of the current position of the object detected by the sensor device in the vehicle apron.
- the greatest possible illumination of the vehicle apron can thus advantageously take place without dazzling an oncoming road user or road user driving ahead. Further advantages of the invention result from the further subclaims.
- a headlight for vehicles has a housing 1 in which a first light module 2 containing an LED light source 3 and a first optical unit 4 for generating a basic light distribution 5 are arranged.
- the LED light source 3 can be configured as an LED chip, which is arranged on a substrate 19.
- the first optical unit 4 is arranged in the light emission direction 6 in front of the LED light source 3. According to an alternative embodiment, not shown, the first optical unit 4 can also be arranged in the region of the substrate 19 carrying the LED light source 3.
- a second light module 7 is provided in the housing 1 with a plurality of LED light sources 3 and a second optical unit 8 in front of the same for generating at least one additional light distribution.
- a first group of LED light sources 3 is combined to form a first LED field 9, so that in cooperation with the second optical unit 8 as additional light distribution a freeway light distribution 10 can be generated.
- a second LED field 11, which has at least one LED light source 3, is arranged adjacent to the first LED field 9, so that a cornering light function 12 can be generated in cooperation with the second optical unit 8 as additional light distribution.
- a control device 13 In front of the first light module 2 and the second light module 7 is a control device 13, by means of which the LED light sources 3 of the first light module 2 and the second light module 7 can be individually controlled.
- a sensor device 14 is provided on the input side of the control device 13 for detecting the position of an object located in the vehicle apron. The sensor data provided by the sensor device 14 are processed in the control device 13, the position of the additional light distribution 10, 12 being changeable as a function of the detected position of the object in the vehicle apron.
- a switching device 15 is provided on the input side of the control device 13 and is arranged, for example, in the cockpit of the vehicle for manual switching on and off of predetermined light functions.
- the first light module 2 has only a single LED light source 3, and in cooperation with the first optics unit 4, a first light beam 16 is emitted at a solid angle which has a relatively wide horizontal opening angle ⁇ 1 and vertical ⁇ 1 opening angle (critical angle).

Description
- Fig. 1
- eine schematische Darstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Scheinwerfers und
