Vorzugsweise umfasst diese einen Vorratsbereich, in welchem Verpackungsmaterialbahnrollen vorrätig gehalten werden können. Als weitere Einheit ist vorzugsweise eine Einrichtung 4.2 zur Positionierung und/oder Lagefixierung für die Außenstirndeckel SA, beispielsweise in Form einer Packpresse 7 einsetzbar. Zusätzliche und optional eingesetzte Aggregate sind Kennzeichnungseinrichtungen 9, insbesondere Etikettiereinrichtungen 8 zur Kennzeichnung der Verpackung beziehungsweise zur Anbringung von Kennzeichnungen auf dieser. Um eine optimale Verpackung zu gewährleisten, sind neben dem Verpackungsmaterial V sowie den Stirndeckeln SI, SA und den zur Kennzeichnung erforderlichen Mitteln, wie Etiketten E ferner auch andere Verbrauchsmaterialien in Form von Leim L notwendig. In den bekannten Ausführungen gemäß dem Stand der Technik wird dabei die Vorrichtung 1 mit den Verbrauchsmaterialien VM beschickt, indem diese in einem so genannten Rüstbereich 10, der sich aus den einzelnen Bereitstellungsbreichen 11.1 bis 11.n zusammensetzt, die räumlich voneinander getrennt oder aber unmittelbar einander benachbart angeordnet sein können, vorgehalten werden. Aus diesem Rüstbereich 10 werden dann die erforderlichen Verbrauchsmaterialien VM zumindest für das Verpackungsmaterial V sowie die Stirndeckel S zeitnah entnommen und zur Funktionsweise der Vorrichtung 1 in dieser verwendet. Dabei ist es jedoch erforderlich, den Verbrauch der Verbrauchsmaterialien VM zu überwachen, um diese gegebenenfalls nachrüsten zu können. Da dieses Ressourcen, insbesondere in Form von Arbeitszeit als auch Produktionszeit bindet, denn die Vorrichtung 1 wird für jeden Rüstvorgang deaktiviert, ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, die Verbrauchsmaterialien VM zur Verpackung der einzelnen Materialbahnrolle 2.n im Rüstbereich 10 beziehungsweise den einzelnen Bereitstellungsbereichen 11.1 bis 11.n in Abhängigkeit entweder einer vordefinierten Menge N2soll der zu verpackenden Materialbahnrollen 2.1 bis 2.n und/oder der in einer vordefinierten Zeitdauer Tsoll geforderten zu verpackenden Materialbahnrollen 2.1 bis 2.n bereit zustellen. at least the following consumable materials (VMsp) are provided:a. end covers (S), in particular inner end covers (SI) and outer end covers (SA)b. packaging material web rolls (V). - System (15) for predefining the preparation of consumable materials for an apparatus (1) for packing material web rolls (2.1-2.n), comprising:- a device (16) for registering/predefining the material web rolls (2.1-2.n) to be packed or the material web rolls (2.1-2.n) to be packed per unit time,- a device (17) for registering/predefining the parameters (PD) of the material web rolls,- a device (18) for registering/predefining variables (Pt) which at least indirectly characterize the packaging material (VM) which is used,- optionally, a device (19) for predefining a time period (Tsp),- an evaluation and/or analysis device (20),- in the preparation area, at least one device provided for registering the consumable materials that are still present, which is coupled to the evaluation and/or analysis device (20).
