Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fiberboard, in particular based on cellulosic fibers.
  • MDF Medium Density Fiberboard
  • HDF boards High Density Fiberboard
  • HDF panels are increasingly needed because they increasingly substitute other products as panels for paneling walls, ceilings and floors.
  • fibreboards are increasingly in demand due to their excellent machinability and favorable coating properties.
  • the invention therefore has the technical problem of providing a method for producing a fiberboard, with which it is possible to provide a fiberboard in an economical manner, which meets the requirements usually made.
  • a fiberboard based on cellulosic fibers is produced, the cellulosic fibers of which consist of a proportion of fibers made from vegetable raw materials and at least one further fraction of fibers made available or recovered from waste materials.
  • the fibers are scattered in several layers to a nonwoven fabric, wherein in the different layers different proportions of a waste fibers and plant-derived fibers.
  • Cellulosic fibers from waste materials are contained in particular in paper, cardboard, paperboard or pulp. These old substances, which can be summarized under the name waste paper, today form the most important raw material for the paper industry itself.
  • waste paper In some cases very expensive wet process, the respectively required Cellulose fiber quality recovered from the waste, freed from impurities and added depending on the desired paper quality, in a certain proportion in papermaking.
  • cellulosic fibers in a purely mechanical way in a dry process.
  • Such fibers are also suitable for the process according to the invention since there are lower to no requirements with regard to any impurities.
  • dyes as compulsorily contained in waste paper have no disadvantageous properties for the plate according to the invention and its production.
  • the treatment of the cellulose-containing fibers, which are obtained from a waste by a multi-stage drying process. It has proved to be advantageous in this regard in a first stage with a hammer mill pressed into bales crushed waste paper, so that a pourable granules with a particle size of several millimeters to a few centimeters is formed.
  • This material is then readily observed in a subsequent step to eliminate large foreign matter.
  • the remaining portion is then ground into fibers using a mill or a refiner.
  • a proportion of cellulosic fibers from existing substances of 1% to 80%, preferably a proportion of 10% to 65%, particularly preferably a proportion of 20% to 50%, based respectively on the dry mass of the finished plate, proved suitable.
  • a modification of the cellulosic fibers is provided from a waste. This can be done in various ways and can also be provided for the achievement of a variety of objectives.
  • Suitable as flow aids are known from the prior art substances such as diatomaceous earth, fumed silicas, tricalcium phosphate, etc.
  • the modification of the cellulosic fibers provided from a waste can be carried out in the form of a hydrophobic treatment.
  • a hydrophobic treatment By hydrophobing the cellulosic fibers provided from a waste, the resistance of a panel to moisture can be substantially improved.
  • Addition of hydrophobizing agents in the production of MDF and HDF boards is well known, but it has surprisingly been found that addition of such substances to the pulp-derived cellulosic fibers is substantially more effective than simultaneous addition to the binder, such as in the production of conventional fiberboard is usually the case.
  • Another type of modification may be the separate sizing of the cellulosic fibers obtained from a waste and the cellulosic plant-based fibers. This makes it possible in a simple manner to add to the different fractions specially adapted binders and / or specially adapted binder amounts.
  • a further preferred embodiment is the possibility of utilizing the modification of the cellulosic fibers obtained from a waste material to achieve the addition of certain additives and / or auxiliaries in a particularly good distribution of these substances in the plate.
  • the generally relatively dry fibers are able to absorb larger amounts of said liquid substances, whereby an increase in the desired effects can be achieved.
  • additives and / or auxiliaries for example, substances for improving the electrical conductivity, dyes, emission scavengers or substances for flame and fire protection are meant.
  • the reaction partners provided for the crosslinking reaction of the binder such as a hardener or an accelerator, and the binder itself are added separately to the different proportions of fibers provided from a recycled material and of fibers provided on a vegetable basis.
  • the reactants can be added to the recovered fibers from a waste and the binder to the plant-derived fibers.
  • the binder is added to the recovered fibers from a waste and the reactants to the plant-derived fibers. This advantageously achieves that these components only come into intimate contact with each other during the course of pressing, whereby an early and thus ineffective crosslinking reaction of the binder is prevented.
  • the method described above can be carried out in a simple manner on plants for the production of fiberboard by the dry process. Only simple devices for providing the cellulosic fibers obtained from a waste material and optionally devices for modifying these fibers are required.
  • the addition of the cellulosic fibers from a waste to the cellulosic fibers on a vegetable basis can take place at various points in the production process.
  • wood chips from deciduous and / or softwood are shredded after their washing and a hydrothermal digestion in refiners.
  • These fibers produced in this way pass from there via the so-called blow-line, in which binders and auxiliaries and additives can be added, via a fiber dryer into a fiber bunker, from which the feed of a spreading station then takes place. This then forms a nonwoven, which deflected in a cycle press or as an infinite strand in one continuously working double belt press or a calender press is pressed.
  • the desired plate formats are deflected before or after the press.
  • auxiliaries and additives are understood, for example, hardeners and accelerators, water repellents or fire protection and fungicidal agents.
  • binder and auxiliaries and additives in the blow-line it is also possible to add these between the fiber dryer and the fiber bunker. According to the already dry state of the fibers one speaks then of a dry gluing.
  • the addition of binder and auxiliaries and additives in the region of the entry of the fibers into the dryer can take place. Since very high transport speeds and optionally also turbulent flow conditions are present, this ensures a very good mixing of the various fiber fractions.
  • the cellulosic fibers obtained from a waste material are already in a moisture range suitable for the pressing process, they can also be added after the fiber dryer, for example before the fiber bunker which is provided immediately before the scattering station.
  • a dry gluing device ie a device with which the fibers are glued only after they have been dried, is used for the gluing of the fibers, it is advantageously possible to add the cellulosic fibers provided from a recycled material in front of this dry gluing device.
  • the entirety of the fibers are provided with binder, whereby reduced equipment costs can be achieved.
