Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung (12) zur Erzeugung von Dampf, der über eine Leitung (16) und eine Düse (17) in den Behälter (2) zur Aufnahme von zu behandelnder Wäsche (8) einer Wäschebehandlungsmaschine (1) leitbar ist, mit einem Tank (21), einem Heizkörper (22), einer Einlassöffnung (18) zum Einlassen von Wasser in den Tank (21), einer Austrittsöffnung (19) für Dampf oder Wasser. Um eine verbesserte Dampferzeugung bereitzustellen, insbesondere einen unerwünschten Wassereintritt in den Behandlungsraum während der Dampferzeugung zu vermeiden, ist zwischen der Austrittsöffnung (19) und dem Innenraum des Tanks (21) bodenseitig zumindest eine Schottwand (25) angeordnet, deren oberer Rand (26) zumindest eine Öffnung (27, 34) umfasst oder bildet, die den Durchlass für den Dampf zwischen dem Innenraum des Tanks (21) und der Austrittsöffnung (19) bereitstellt, wobei der obere Rand (26) der Schottwand (25) den im Tank (21) bevorratbaren Wasserpegel (28) überragt.
