Definitions
- the invention relates to a coupler and a plug of a connector, with Koshiri security according to the features of the respective preamble of the independent claims.
- From the EP 0 768 734 A2 is a coupler of a connector, with a coupler housing in which at least one contact chamber for receiving a contact partner is arranged, the coupler housing having a protruding spring tab which has a paragraph in the region of its free end, wherein the coupler housing and the spring tab form a one-piece component known.
- the coupler and the plug each have a coupler housing or a plug housing, in which the coupler at least one contact chamber, preferably a plurality of contact chambers, are present, receive the contact partners.
- the connector housing which is provided with at least one, preferably a plurality of contact pins, which contact the contact partners of the coupler in the assembled state of coupler and connector.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to improve a coupler and a plug of a connector and the entire connector to the effect that permanent contact safety exists.
- plugs and couplers should be able to be interpreted to the effect that in a simple manner an unambiguous assignment of a particular connector to the particular associated coupler (coding) is given.
- a coupler in which the coupler housing has a protruding spring tab, which has a shoulder in the region of its free end, wherein the coupler housing and the protruding spring tab form a one-piece component, wherein the spring tab in
- the coupler housing can be produced with the spring tab in a simple manner, for example in a plastic injection molding process as a one-piece component.
- the spring tab it is ensured by the spring tab that this with corresponding elements on the side of the plug (which will be described) cooperates, so that with mating of the coupler and the plug, the spring tab causes a latching connection, the Prevents that in the operation of the mated connector this can be solved.
- the spring tab has the advantage that this locking connection can be easily and quickly, preferably without tools, operated to release the connector.
- the plug according to the invention has an outer wall with respect to its plug housing, it being provided according to the invention that a part of the outer wall has two recessed wall areas which are each connected to the outer wall via a wall area, and wherein between the two recessed wall areas (233) together with the two wall portions (234) which is considered in cross-section in the axial direction T-shaped spring tab (15) is receivable.
- This design of outer wall and reset wall area makes it possible to receive the spring tab of the coupler in the assembled state. Due to the coordinated shaping of the spring clip of the coupler and the design of the outer walls, an unambiguous assignment between coupler and plug is realized. This will prevent unrelated couplers and connectors from being mated together.
- the outer walls cause a guide of the spring tab when inserting the plug in the coupler (or vice versa).
- FIGS. 1 to 9 is, as far as shown in detail, a coupler 10 and a connector 20, their structural details and the interaction of the individual Elements of coupler 10 and connector 20 and the sequence of movements during mating are shown to form a connector.

- the coupler housing 11 at least one projection 14, here two projections 14 at the edge and with the mating side of the coupler housing 11 finally.
- a spring tab 15 is arranged outside of the coupler housing 11 and projecting therefrom, wherein the spring tab 15 has a shoulder 16 in the region of its free end.
- the coupler housing 11 has a preferably flat-shaped back plate 17, which is provided with a projection 18.
- This projection 18 is arranged in this embodiment of the coupler 10 above in extension of the spring tab 15, just behind the shoulder 16 of the spring tab 15, wherein the back plate 17 has a recess 19, so that the projection 18 in the region above the spring tab 15 on a Web of the back plate 17 is arranged.
- the spring tab 15, viewed in cross-section, has a T-shape and may, but need not, have a recess or opening in the interior.
- the spring tab 15 and the coupler housing 11 form a one-piece component and are preferably in a plastic injection molding process, as the other elements, the coupler housing 11 also produced.
- FIG. 3 is the one in the FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrated coupler 10 associated plug 20 is shown, wherein the plug 20 has a plug housing 21 in which a contact pin or a plurality of contact pins 22 are arranged.
- the arrangement of the contact pins 22 corresponds to the arrangement of the contact chambers 12 of the Coupler 10, so that the mating of coupler 10 and connector 20, the contact pins 22 are electrically connected to contact partners in the contact chambers 12.
- the plug housing 21 has a peripheral outer wall 23, wherein a part of the outer wall 23 on the one side, in particular a longitudinal side, starting from an outer wall portion 231, which then merges into a recessed wall portion 232, wherein the facedwandungs Suitee 231 and 232 with a recessed wall portion 233 are connected via an approximately perpendicular thereto oriented wall portion 234.
- the wall regions 232, 233 and 234 form a cross section corresponding to the cross section of the spring clip 15 of the coupler 10. Consequently, in this embodiment, the cross section formed by the wall portions 232 to 234 is also T-shaped. In the outwardly facing and projecting wall portion 232, a recess 24 is still provided.
- the plug housing 21 has one or more outwardly projecting boom 25 with openings 26. With these arms 25, for example, with a screw 26 inserted through the opening 26 or a pin or the like, the plug 20 can be contacted at its installation location, for example on a printed circuit board.
- FIGS. 4 to 9 By way of example, several forms of an actually incorrect and undesired sequence of movements when plugging coupler 10 and plug 20 are shown. In this sequence of movements is effectively avoided by the chamfers 13 and due to the coordinated geometries of the coupler housing 11 and the plug housing 21 that when mating coupler 10 and plug 20, the coupler housing 11 can reach up to the contact pins 22. As a result, no matter what manner and no matter what sequence of movements coupler 10 and plug 20 are plugged together, always a distance A (see, for example FIG. 6 ) between the coupler housing 11 and the connector housing 21, more precisely the tips of the contact pins 22, maintained.
- A see, for example FIG. 6
- FIG. 9 Finally, the correct sequence of movements during mating of connector 10 and coupler 20, namely a sequence of movements in a substantially axial direction. It can be seen that due to the cross section of the spring clip 15 and the corresponding configuration of the wall regions 231 to 234, a guide during insertion of the coupler 10 in the plug housing 21 of the plug 20 takes place. This guidance is additionally supported by the presence of the projections 14, which precisely fit into that region which extends through the end face of the recessed wall 233 and the inner wall of the outer wall 23 (see FIG FIG. 3 ) is formed.
- the coupler 10 and the plug 20 are produced in a plastic injection molding process, for which corresponding injection molding tools, in particular multi-part injection molding tools, in particular also using fibers produced.
- injection molding tools in particular multi-part injection molding tools, in particular also using fibers produced.
- the cross-sectional shapes of the spring tab 15 and the associated cross-sectional shapes formed by the walls 231 to 234 can be changed in a simple manner and at the same time matched to one another, so that different plugs 20 and couplers 10, which belong to each other, can be produced.
- Coupler 10 and plug 20 which form a plug connection in the assembled state, are preferably used in automotive engineering, where it is particularly important that the plug connection retains its mated state due to harsh ambient conditions, in particular vibrations. This is effectively by the locking connection, formed by spring tab 15 with paragraph 16 and recess 24, realized.
- the plug 20 is adapted to be mounted on a printed circuit board.
- the plug housing 21 is mounted with the side facing away from the plug side mounting side on a circuit board, wherein guide pins 27 (see FIG. 6 ) are present, which are used in corresponding holes of the circuit board for fixing the position.
- the contact pins 22 are also performed with the side facing away from the plug side through holes in the printed circuit board, not shown, and soldered their end with traces on the circuit board.
- screws are performed with which the plug 20 is mounted on the circuit board.

- In
