Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Fahrzeugheizgerät gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1, wie es in Kraftfahrzeugen beispielsweise als Zuheizer oder Standheizung eingesetzt wird, um bei vergleichsweise niedrigen Umgebungstemperaturen durch Verbrennung eines Gemisches aus Brennstoff und Luft Wärme bereitzustellen. Dabei kommt auf Grund der steigenden Brennstoffpreise alternativen Brennstoffen, wie z.B. PME (Pflanzenmethylester), beispielsweise Rapsmethylester, immer größere Bedeutung zu. - Vehicle heating device, comprising a combustion chamber assembly (12) with a combustion chamber housing (14), said combustion chamber housing (14) comprising a circumferential wall (16) and a bottom wall (18) and in the circumferential wall (16) or bottom wall (18) at least one receiving recess (55) for an ignition element (52), said ignition element (52) being supported with a support area (56) in the receiving recess (55) in such a way that a passage (70, 72, 74) for air to be inserted into said combustion chamber housing (14) is formed between a surface (54) of said combustion chamber housing (14), which defines the receiving recess (55), and the support area (56), characterized by said support area (56) being in point-type or line-type support contact with the surface (54) at several subsequent contact areas (64, 66, 68) and by said passage (70, 72, 74) comprising passage channels (70, 72, 74) formed between said subsequent contact areas (64, 66, 68) in the circumferential direction.
- Vehicle heating device according to claim 1,
characterized by said support area (56) or the receiving recess (55) comprising a substantially circular perimeter and by the respective other assembly having a polygon-type perimeter, contact areas (64, 66, 68) being formed in corner areas (60, 62, 64) of the polygon-type perimeter. - Vehicle heating device according to claim 2,
characterized by said receiving recess (55) having the substantially circular perimeter and said support area (56) having the polygon-type perimeter. - Vehicle heating device according to claim 2 or 3,
characterized by the polygon-type perimeter being a triangle perimeter. - Vehicle heating device according to one of claims 1 to 4,
characterized in that at least one ignition element receiving connection (50) providing the receiving recess (55) together with the surface (54) is formed at the circumferential wall (16) of the combustion chamber housing (14) extending away from the latter. - Vehicle heating device according to one of claims 1 to 5,
characterized by said combustion chamber housing (14) being at least partially surrounded by a pressure chamber (38) which takes up air from a blower (42) and towards which the passage (70, 72, 74) is open.
