Die Aufgabe der Erfindung wird dadurch gelöst, dass die Mauerelemente zumindest einen Distanzkörper und zwei Platten aufweisen, die am zumindest einen Distanzkörper befestigt sind.
In einem bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiel sind zwei Distanzkörper pro Mauerelement mit Abstand zueinander vorgesehen. Dadurch ergibt sich ein Mauerelement, das einfach in der Herstellung und leicht im Gewicht ist und mit verschiedenartigen Platten versehen werden kann, die nach optischen oder mauertechnischen Gegebenheiten ausgesucht und ausgewählt werden können.

Durch diese Ausgestaltung übernehmen vorzugsweise die Distanzkörper die eigentliche Tragfunktion des Mauersystems, wobei durch den Abstand der Distanzkörper untereinander und zu den Rändern der Platten, Hohlräume entstehen, die zur Erhöhung der Festigkeit des Mauersystems ebenfalls mit Beton, ggf. mit armiertem Beton, aufgefüllt werden können.
