Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an annual calendar mechanism for a watch movement which is associated with a month indicator mechanism.
  • a date mechanism makes it possible to display the exact day of the month by operating a single correction a year of one or two days to bring at the end of February the date to the first of March.
  • the mechanism comprises a date disc equipped with thirty-one inner teeth located at a first level and on which are affixed thirty-one numbers each corresponding to an indication of the calendar of the month, these figures appearing successively through a counter in a dial.
  • a drive wheel of the date disk comprises a driving wheel which is connected via an intermediate mobile to the hour wheel of the watch movement.
  • This mobile trainer equipped with a driving finger, makes a turn in twenty four hours and is likely to drive the date disc a step once a day through its internal toothing to control the display of the calendar.
  • the mechanism Piguet also includes a device for correcting the indication of the date at the end of each month having less than thirty-one days.
  • the date disk comprises a second toothing integral with the date disk and located at a second level.
  • This additional toothing is provided with two juxtaposed teeth separated from each other by a thirty-first of a turn and causes, once a month, a wheel which carries a month cam by means of a wheel of return and an intermediate wheel.
  • the cam of the months is arranged to be operated at the end of each month by the extra toothing and to make a turn in a year.
  • She wears five teeth corresponding to the months of less than thirty-one days, each of these teeth being arranged to be, at the end of the months of less than thirty-one days, on the way of the beak of a rocker.
  • This rocker carries a correction mobile equipped with a correction finger capable of cooperating with the second set of teeth at the end of the month of less than thirty-one days to drive the date disc by one additional step at the end of these months. less than thirty-one days when the rocker pivots as a result of the passage of its beak on a tooth of the cam months.
  • the cellphone correction is arranged, as is the mobile date coach, to make a turn in twenty-four hours.
  • the mechanism as described above has several disadvantages.
  • the cam of months which includes indications identifying the months of the year and appearing successively through a window pierced in the dial of the watch is driven, as we have just seen, by a set of teeth. of the record of the dates. Therefore, it is impossible to correct the indication of the month without having to simultaneously act on the date mechanism. This can be tedious when the watch has stopped, for example, on the 10th of a given month and you want to put it back on the appropriate date on the 15th of the following month. In such a case, it will be necessary to scroll successively all the numbers corresponding to the indications of the date of "11" to "31” then of "1 st " to "15".
  • the device used to correct the indication of the date at the end of each month having less than thirty-one days requires to provide on the date disc a second toothing provided with two juxtaposed teeth separated from each other by a thirty-first of a turn.
  • the cam of the months is arranged to be actuated successively by each of these two teeth while advancing twenty-fourth of a turn each time. If a rapid correction device were used, it could not be determined by which of the two teeth of the second toothing of the date disc the month cam is about to be actuated, so that there is a risk of introducing a phase difference between the display of the date and the indication of the month.
  • Such a fast correction mechanism can not therefore be used in the annual calendar mechanism described in the patent document in the name of Piguet.
  • the Piguet mechanism can not be used with an instantaneous date device.
  • the 30 of a month from thirty days to midnight the date ring indicates the 31. Consequently, during a lapse of time which extends between 21h00 the "30" of a month of thirty days and 02h30 the "1 st " following the month of thirty days, the date indication provided by the watch is wrong.
  • the present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks as well as others by providing an annual calendar mechanism for a watch movement that is particularly simple and quick to correct.
  • the present invention relates to an annual calendar mechanism for a timepiece comprising a date disc on which its thirty-one number each corresponding to an indication of a date of the month and provided with a first internal toothing. having thirty-one teeth, one mobile date trainer, this mobile comprising a finger causing a step once a day the date disc by one of the teeth of the first internal toothing to control the display of the date, said date disk comprising a second toothing, a mobile additional correction trainer capable of cooperating with the second gear to drive the date disc by an additional step at the end of the months of less than thirty-one days, and a month cam arranged to be operated at the end of each month and to take a turn in one year, characterized in that it comprises a mobile trainer of months intended to drive at the end of each month the cam months, this mobile trainer being linked, via a gear train, to mobile date coach and the mobile coach correction, this mobile occupying a first position in which it has no effect on the cam of the months so that the kinematic chain between
  • the present invention provides an annual calendar mechanism in which the date disc is not kinematically linked to the cam of the months, except during the time interval required for the mechanism to pass from the end of a month. month at the beginning of the next month.
  • the correction of the month can therefore be done independently of the correction of the date. It is therefore much faster than in the case where the date disk is permanently linked to the cam months and where it is necessary to turn the date of thirty-one days to correct the indication of the month.
  • the date-driving mobile, the correction driving mobile and the month-driving mobile are driven by an instantaneous triggering device.
  • the present invention provides an annual calendar mechanism in which the date and month indications are corrected almost instantaneously. The user therefore hardly perceives the correction steps of the display.
  • the watch equipped with the date mechanism according to the invention permanently provides an exact indication of the date and the month. This is particularly significant in the case of the passage of a month of less than thirty-one days on the first day of the following month. Indeed, as described above, in the case of watches with annual calendar of the prior art, the correction of the display operates gradually so-called sliding in the field of watchmaking and lasts several tens of minutes, or even hours before being completed. During this period of time, the watch provides erroneous indications of date and month. On the contrary, according to the invention, these indications are corrected instantly, so that the watch always provides accurate indications to the wearer.
  • the present invention proceeds from the general inventive idea of providing an annual calendar mechanism in which the kinematic chain between the date disc and the month star is constantly interrupted except during the time required for the mechanism to switch from last calendar day of a month on the first day of the following month, which makes it possible to correct more quickly and independently the indication of the date and the indication of the month for example at the end of February or after prolonged shutdown of the shows.
  • the annual calendar mechanism according to the invention comprises an instantaneous trigger system which makes it possible to pass the indication of the date and the month from the end of a month to the beginning of the following month abruptly and without dragging. so that for the user, the transition from one month to the next month is almost imperceptible and the watch still provides accurate information.
  • the figure 1 is a plan view of a watch equipped with an annual calendar according to the invention. Designated as a whole by the general reference numeral 1, this watch is notably equipped with hour hands 2, minutes 4 and seconds 6. It also includes a date indicator in the form of a date 8 appearing through of a window 10 pierced in a dial 12. The time setting can be performed by means of a ring 14.
  • This mechanism comprises a date disc 16 formed of a lower annular disc 18 bearing a first internal toothing 20 and an upper annular disc 22 bearing a second internal toothing 24.
  • the first toothing 20 comprises thirty-one teeth 20a while the second toothing 24 comprises a single tooth 24a.
  • the upper face of the annular disk 22 has thirty-one numbers each corresponding to an indication of a calendar of the month. These numbers appear successively through the window 10 shown in FIG. figure 1 .
  • the annular disk 22 also carries on its underside a control member 26 of the kind pin which can be attached to said annular disk 22 by any suitable fastening means or that can come from material with the disk 22.
  • the role of this post 26 will be explained in detail below.
  • the teeth 20a and the tooth 24a therefore extend in two different planes, the teeth 20a extending below the tooth 24a.
  • the two lower annular disks 18 and upper 22 extend parallel and at a distance from each other.
  • a mobile date carrier generally designated by the numeral 32 is equipped with a finger 34 capable of driving a step and once a day the date disc 16 by its internal teeth 20.
  • the finger 34 is not yet engaged with the internal toothing 20 of the annular disk 18.
  • the date driving wheel 32 comprises a wheel 36 which carries the finger 34 and which is rotated by a first driving wheel 38 making one turn per day.
  • This driving wheel 38 is itself driven by the hour wheel 39 of a conventional clockwork movement that can be mechanical or electromechanical via a mobile 41 whose wheel 43 is driven by the hour wheel 39 and whose pinion 45 meshes with the driving wheel 38.
  • the mobile date coach 32 thus formed is pivoted on a pin 37 fixed to the movement at A.
  • the date disc 16 differs from a conventional date disc in that it comprises the additional tooth 24a provided on the upper annular disk 22. It is intended to be driven once a month, only at the end of the months of less than thirty-one days, by a mobile correction coach 42.
  • This mobile 42 consists of a finger 44 fixed on a second driving wheel 46 which is carried by a flip-flop 48 rotated in B.
  • the second driving wheel 46 is driven by the first driving wheel 38 via an intermediate gear 50 which meshes with the wheel 36.
  • a flip-flop 40 also carries a mobile trainer of 52 months scheduled to train at the end of each month a star of the month 54.
  • the mobile coach month 52 consists of a third wheel coach 56 which carries a finger 58 and which is driven by the first driving wheel 38 via the wheel 36.
  • the pivoting of the flip-flop 40 is controlled by a clutch lever 59 pivoted F.
  • This lever 59 is biased by a spring 61 and cooperates with the hand-held rocker 40 by means of an operating arm 63 whose head 65 slides in a shaped opening 67 formed in said rocker 40.
  • the star of the months 54 comprises a twelve-toothed wheel 60 which is positioned by a jumper 62 biased by a spring 64 to angularly position said star of the months 54 when it is not actuated.
  • This star of the months 54 also comprises a lower cam 66 and an upper cam 68.
  • the upper cam 68 comprises five protuberances 68a-68e distributed around its periphery, these five protuberances 68a-68e respectively corresponding to the five months of the year having less than thirty-one days.
  • the lower cam 66 avoids the use of a return spring of a latch 70 which by its spout 74 follows the profile of the lower cam 66 while it follows the profile of the upper cam 68 by its nose 72.
  • This latch 70 is pivoted in C and is freely pivotally mounted on the wand 48.
  • the annual calendar mechanism according to the invention is shown in the position it occupies immediately before the passage from "30" to "31".

  • the finger 58 is disengaged from the toothing of the twelve tooth wheel 60 of the Star of the month 54.
  • a quick correction of the date disk 16 or the star of the months 54 is therefore possible at any time because of the use of an instantaneous trigger system 76 and not of a trailing correction system. the particularity of which lies in the fact that the correction fingers penetrate progressively into the teeth of the date ring and the star of the months.
  • the instant trigger system 76 is shown in FIGS. Figures 7 and 8 . It includes in particular the first driving wheel 38 and the wheel 36 carrying the finger 34. It also comprises a trigger rocker 78 biased by a spring 80 and which is supported by its beak 82 against a cam 84. The wheel 36 is secured to the cam 84 by means of a pin 86. It will be understood that the sequence of movement of the various organs constituting the date mechanism according to the invention has been decomposed to facilitate its understanding but that, in reality, the mechanism passes from the illustrated position to the figure 2 to that illustrated in figure 5 in a fraction of a second.
  • the finger 44 carried by the second driving wheel 46 which is itself driven by the cam 84 and the wheel 36 via the intermediate return 50 has pushed the tooth 24a a step and caused the date disc 16 to make change the display from "30" to "31".
  • the wheel 36 driven by the instantaneous correction system 76 to which the first driving wheel 38 belongs, continues to rotate, so that the finger 34, carried by said wheel 36, is found behind a tooth 20a of the lower annular disc 18 and that the second phase of operation of the mechanism illustrated in figure 4 can begin.
