Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Dicke der zwischen den Auftragswalzen 11, 12 durchlaufenden Buchblocks 3 ist der Abstand zwischen den Auftragswalzen 11, 12 der Walzenpaare 11, 14 bzw. 12, 15 variabel einstellbar ausgebildet. Deshalb sind die Walzenpaare 11, 14 resp. 12, 15 in einem auf dem Schlitten 27 quer zur Drehachse 30 der Walzen verschiebbaren Lagerschild 29 gelagert. Die Walzenpaare 11, 14 bzw. 12, 15 sind jeweils durch ein aus zwei kämmenden Zahnrädern 31, 32 gebildetes Rädervorgelege 33 angetrieben. Die Antriebswelle der Dosierwalzen 14, 15, die antriebsseitig den Lagerschild 29 durchsetzt, ist jeweils durch eine Kupplung 34 mit einem in einem auf dem Schlitten 27 befestigten Lagerbock 35 gelagerten Kegelrad 36 verbunden. Das Kegelrad 36 bildet jeweils mit einem zweiten Kegelrad 37, das rechtwinklig zu Kegelrad 36 in einem an dem Lagerbock 35 befestigten Support 38 gelagert ist, ein Winkelgetriebe 39, wobei das zweite Kegelrad 37 auf einer parallel zur Verschiebungsrichtung des Schlittens 37 angeordneten, mit dem Antriebsmotor 24 verbundenen Mehrfachkeilwelle 40 verschiebbar sitzt. Die Mehrfachkeilwelle 40 ist in einem mit dem Maschinengestell verbundenen Gestell gelagert und mit einem umlaufenden Zugmittel 41 mit dem Antriebsmotor 24 verbunden. Selbstverständlich könnte anstelle des Zugmittels 41 ein Zahnradvorgelege verwendet werden; der Fachmann wird eine optimale Anordnung des Antriebsmotors 24 und ein Getriebe nach den verfügbaren Raumverhältnissen wählen.
