Durch die Ringnut 26 sind am Schaftumfang zwei radial umlaufende und im Abstand zueinander angeordnete Rastkanten 15 und 16 ausgebildet. Claims (11)

  1. Fluid reservoir for a paint spray gun with a container (1) and a cover (2) which can be placed thereon and has a connecting part (3) in order to place the fluid reservoir on the paint spray gun or an adaptor, characterised in that a delimited region (5) is formed in the wall (4) of the container (1) and can be pierced by a pointed tool (6) to form a ventilation opening, the delimited region (5) being defined by a guide face (9a), which is used to guide the pointed tool when piercing the ventilation opening.
  2. Fluid reservoir according to claim 1, characterised in that the delimited region (5) is easier to pierce than the remaining region of the container wall (4).
  3. Fluid reservoir according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the delimited region is formed by a membrane (7), which consists of a material with a lower strength than the material of the container wall (4) and/or which has smaller thickness than the thickness of the region (4a) of the container wall (4) surrounding it.
  4. Fluid reservoir according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the guide face (9a) is formed by the inside of a wall (9) of a hollow cylinder (8) that is substantially perpendicular to the container wall (4).
  5. Fluid reservoir according to claim 4, characterised in that the wall (9) of the hollow cylinder (8) projects into the interior of the container (1).
  6. Paint reservoir system for a paint spray gun, consisting of a fluid reservoir according to any one of claims 1 to 5 and a pointed tool (6) comprising
    - a shaft (10), on the periphery of which at least one recess (13) is provided
    - a head part (11) arranged thereon
    - and a point (12) at the end of the shaft,
    wherein the pointed tool (6) is used to pierce a ventilation opening in the wall (4) of the paint reservoir and the recess (13) forms a ventilation channel, when the pointed tool (6), after the piercing of the ventilation opening, is inserted therein to such an extent that the recess (13) is located at the height of the region (4a) of the container wall (4) defining the ventilation opening.
  7. Paint reservoir system according to claim 6, characterised in that the shaft (10) is cylindrical and at least the beginning (14) of the shaft adjoining the head part (11) or the whole shaft (10) widens conically toward the head part (11).
  8. Paint reservoir system according to claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the recess (13) in the longitudinal direction of the shaft (10) extends over a height (H), which corresponds to about half the shaft length.
  9. Paint reservoir system according to any one of claims 6 to 8, characterised in that two peripheral latching edges (15, 16) arranged at a spacing from one another are provided on the periphery of the shaft.
  10. Paint reservoir system according to claim 9, characterised in that the or each recess (13) in the longitudinal direction of the shaft extends at least between the two latching edges (15, 16), preferably beyond them.
  11. Paint reservoir system according to claim 6, characterised in that the pointed tool (6) is moulded on the cover (2) by means of a pull-off tab (17).
