Definitions
- the invention relates to a liquid sample conveying device with a feed pump and a delivery line.
- Liquid sample conveyors consist of a feed pump and a delivery line and are used, for example, in on-line analysis, sampling, sample collection and sample transfer of a liquid sample from wastewater to an analyzer located away from the sampling location.
- Such arrangements are used for example in sewage treatment plants for monitoring the sewage and the clarification process.
- the fluid samples in sewage treatment plants are usually almost completely free of solids, they still contain nutrients. The nutrients allow bacterial growth.
- the delivery line in which the liquid sample is continuously conveyed, form a bacterial coating in which also more dissolved components, eg. As iron chloride and fats, store and solidify, which can lead to a complete blockage of the feed line.
- the bacterial coating may alter the sample flowing through the delivery line, for example, by ammonium degradation by nitrification, such that the determinations of wastewater parameters subsequently made in the analyzer will be erroneous. To avoid this, frequent cleaning and maintenance of the delivery line is required.
- the object of the invention is to provide a liquid sample delivery device in which the delivery line requires less maintenance and cleaning.
- the feed pump promotes pulsed and the delivery line and the feed pump are designed such that the expansion volume of the delivery line during the delivery pulse is a maximum of 50% of the pulse volume.
- the feed pump promotes the Liquid sample so no longer continuous, but essentially impulsive. As a result, the liquid sample is accelerated to a relatively high flow rate during the pulse, so that the liquid peels and entrains deposits from the conveyor inner wall.
- An appropriate design of the feed pump and the delivery line ensures that the liquid in the delivery line reaches speeds of 0.5 m / s to 4 m / s during the delivery pulse.
- the kinetic energy introduced in this way is largely converted into turbulence and friction in the boundary of the conveyor line adjacent boundary, whereby the coating in the state of its formation already is reliably removed. A cleaning and maintenance of the delivery line and possibly the feed pump is no longer required.
- the expansion volume of the delivery line during the delivery pulse is a maximum of 50% of the pulse volume, d. that is, the volume by which the delivery line increases during the delivery pulse is at most 50% of the total volume of the fluid volume delivered with the pulse.
- d. H. the volume by which the delivery line increases during the delivery pulse is at most 50% of the total volume of the fluid volume delivered with the pulse.
- the feed pump is designed such that the ratio of pulse pressure and delivery line length is at least 0.5 bar / m, wherein the pulse pressure is the maximum pressure during the delivery pulse.
- the pulse pressure is the maximum pressure during the delivery pulse.
- At a ratio of at least 0.5 bar / m it is ensured that there is a high velocity of the liquid in the liquid line during the delivery pulse over the entire length of the delivery line, ie also at the end facing away from the pump.
- the feed pump is arranged in a wastewater immersion tank, which serves for sampling and, if necessary, sample preparation, and from which liquid samples are pumped through the feed line to an analyzer, which stands, for example, at the edge of a waste water basin.
- the feed pump can be designed as a diaphragm pump which operates in relation to the delivery line as a pressure pump. The diaphragm pump sucks in a fluid sample and then presses it in a pulse-like manner into the delivery line.
- the feed pump and the delivery line are designed such that the expansion volume of the delivery line during the delivery pulse is a maximum of 30%, and in particular a maximum of 10% of the pulse volume. This ensures that only a relatively small part of the delivery pulse is flattened by the expansion of the delivery line during the delivery pulse. This in turn allows the use of a relatively small feed pump and ensures a relatively low energy requirement for the promotion.
- the pulse duration of the delivery pulse is shorter than 100 ms.
- the pulse duration is meant the duration of the entire delivery pulse, d. H. from the onset of the conveying movement to the end of the conveying movement of the pump.
- the delivery pulses can be superposed on a continuous delivery of the liquid.
- the feed pump between the delivery pulses does not promote, d. H. the promotion of the liquid samples takes place exclusively during the delivery pulses. In this way, a maximum pressure difference and thus speed difference between pulse and non-pulse is realized. This in turn ensures the greatest possible cleaning effect.
- the delivery line in any case on the inside of a material of low surface energy.
- a material of low surface energy In such a material, the adhesive forces of bacteria and other deposits are relatively low, so that it is ensured that deposits are dissolved and entrained during and through the delivery pulse.
- the delivery line may consist of a surface-smooth fluoropolymer, such as FEP.
- the figure shows a liquid sample conveying device according to the invention.
- a liquid sample conveyor 10 which serves to remove a liquid sample from wastewater tank 14 containing wastewater 12.
- the delivery device 10 is essentially formed by a delivery pump 16 and a delivery line 18.
- the delivery pump 16 is a membrane pump operated with respect to the delivery line 18 as a pressure pump and is arranged in a liquid-tight dip tank 20.
- the feed pump 16 are associated with an inlet valve 22 and an outlet valve 24 in the flow direction in front of and behind the feed pump 16.
- the feed pump 16 sucks through a filter membrane 26 filtered liquid from the wastewater 12 and then pumps this through the feed line 18 to an outside of the waste water basin 14 arranged analyzer 28th
- the delivery line 18 has a length of 10 m and an inner diameter of about 1.0 mm.
- the wall of the delivery line 18 consists of FEP, the surface of which is smooth on the inside.
- FEP is a low surface energy fluoropolymer that adheres to relatively low adhesion coatings.
- the feed pump 16 promotes the liquid only impulsively.
- the pressure of a delivery pulse is at least 5.0 bar.
- the pulse duration is less than 100 ms.
- the delivery frequency is 1.0 Hz. There is no liquid delivery between the delivery pulses.
- the delivery line 18 is so pressure-resistant that its expansion volume during a delivery pulse is at most 15%.

Description
- In
- In
