Abstract
This invention relates to a cooking appliance (1) and its control method comprising a control card (2) which provides the user with cooking activity according to his/her habits by controlling the functional parts like the heater (6) and the fan (7) and/or cooking activity for the meals prepared before by using the predetermined algorithms under the same conditions.
Description
A COOKING APPLIANCE AND ITS CONTROL METHOD
This invention relates to a cooking appliance and its control method which provides the user with a cooking activity according to his/her habits, cooking the meals as previously done before in house appliances and particularly cooking appliances.
hi the state of art, the user can cook by adjusting the combination of oven, heater and fans together with the temperature and cooking period in cooking appliances particularly in ovens. However the same parameters are similarly adjusted when the same meals are cooked again.
In the conventional application, automatic cooking is provided for limited number of meals including the predetermined parameters by the manufacturers. In this case, the user is required to adjust for each cooking when regional or personal special meals are prepared.
United States Patent US4725948 defines a microwave oven, which can cook by controlling the power level at a definite time interval by means of an electronic circuit indicator.
German Patent DE4223653 discloses an oven, which is controlled by the profile of energy level and time interval determined according to optimum cooking quality, optimum energy consumption and prospects of foods.

The object of this invention is to provide a cooking appliance and its control method, which allows the reuse or reformation of the adjustments the user selects during the cooking activity with same or different profiles when the same meal is desired to be cooked.
The cooking appliance and its control method realized in order to attain above mentioned objects of the present invention has been illustrated in the attached drawings, wherein;
Figure 1 is a three-dimensional general view of a cooking appliance. Figure 2 is a schematic view of a control card. Figure 3 is a perspective view of a control panel. Figure 4 is a schematic view of a cooking appliance. Figure 5 is a flow chart of a cooking method.
The components shown in the figures have been enumerated as below;

The cooking appliance which is the subject of this invention comprises a body (12), one or more lid (13) which places and removes the foods in the body (12), one or more control card (2) which controls the cooking appliance and allows the user to cook according to the desires by saving the choices and conditions in addition to the choices predetermined by the manufacturer, one or more control panel (3) which allows the user to observe and control the cooking appliance (1), one or more heater (6) which heats the inside of the cooking appliance (1), one or more fan (7) which provides the circulation and direction of the air heated in the cooking appliance (1), one or more sensor (9) which perceives one or more parameter like temperature and moisture on the cooking appliance (1), a funnel (14) used for the removal of moisture inside and a clamp which closes the funnel (14) and is controlled by the control card (2) according to the values received by the sensors (9).
The control card (2) comprises at least one processor (11), which provides the control, a memory (10) in which the parameters and algorithms predetermined by the manufacturer and/or the parameters and algorithms determined during the cooking are saved and one or more timers (8), which control the time. The warning of the control card (2) for whether the door is open or closed provides the kid security control.
The control panel (3) comprises one or more indicators (4) for the observation and/or determination of the preferences of the user and one or more buttons (5) for the selection of parameters like the operation close and control of the appliance (1).
The meals prepared according to the regional or well-known special recipes predetermined by the manufacturer are cooked to obtain algorithms and to save in the memory (10). The algorithms saved in the memory (10) comprises the functions of the cooking appliance when or how the heater (6) and/or the fan (7) on the cooking appliance (1) will operate, keep operating and stop operating with respect to the maximum operation and security conditions.
The user may select the special menu like keeping the heat at a definite temperature, self cleaning, and heating up to a predetermined temperature, keeping the temperature at a constant degree for yeasting at a defined time interval, i.e. keeping the temperature at 42 °C for 4.5 hour for yeasting yoghurt of 1 hour/kg at 35 "C, preparing the foods in plates as canned food and keeping the temperature at 200 °C until the liquid in the foods is boiled.
User can cook by means of the profiles saved in the memory (10) by the manufacturer and/or the user by using the button (5) and /or the indicator (3) by the cooking appliance (1), which is the subject of this invention. If the user does not want to adjust the profile saved in the memory, the cooking appliance cooks according to the algorithm saved in the memory by means of the control card (2). If the user wants to adjust the saved algorithm, he/she saves the adjustments in the memory by means of the indicator (4) and the buttons (5), and cooks according to the recent algorithm defined by the control card (2). If the user saves a new meal, which is not saved in the memory (10) before, he/she may recall the algorithm of the new meal as previously recorded meals and cook it under the detemύned environment and conditions again.
The cooking appliance (1), which is the subject of this invention, provides these steps through a cooking method.
The said cooking method comprises the following steps:
Controlling whether the user selects the menu program (10),
- Starting the manual cooking program (20), if the menu program is not selected during its control step (10),
- Asking the user whether the cooking should be started or not (21),
- Waiting for a definite period determined by the manufacturer (22), if the user has not selected during the prior step (22),
- Determining whether the time limits determined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (23),
- Returning to the step of asking whether the cooking should be started or not (21) if the limits are not exceeded in the step of determining whether the time limits determined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (23),
- Returning to the step of selecting the menu program (10), if the limits are exceeded in the step of determining whether the time limits determined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (23),
Operation of the cooking appliance according to the deteπnined parameters (24), if the user selects the start of the operation in the step of asking the user whether the cooking should be started or not (21),
- Continuously measuring and temporary saving of the temperature, moisture values and cooking periods (25),
Controlling whether the cooking is completed or not (28), - Asking whether the cooking profile is saved or not (41) if the cooking is not completed in the step of controlling whether the cooking is completed or not (28),
- Controlling whether the parameters are changed or not (26), if the cooking is completed in the step of controlling whether the cooking is completed or not (28),
- Returning to the step of operation of the cooking appliance according to the determined parameters (24), if the parameters are not changed in the step of controlling whether the parameters are changed or not (26),
- Saving the information saved prior to the changes as a step of the cooking profile (27), if the parameters are changed in the step of controlling whether the parameters are changed or not (26),
- Controlling whether the stop button is used or not after the profile step is saved (31),
- Asking whether the data saved temporarily during the cooking profile are saved under a fixed name or not (41) if the stop button is not used in the step of controlling whether the stop button is used or not (31),
- Returning to the step of the menu selection by the user (10) if the cooking profile is not saved in the step of asking whether the data saved temporarily during the cooking profile are saved under a fixed name or not
(41), - Saving the required name together with the selected parameters and measured temperature, moisture and time values (43), and returning to the step of the menu selection by the user (10) if the cooking profile is saved in the step of asking whether the data saved temporarily during the cooking profile are saved under a fixed name or not (41), - Starting the menu program (100), if the menu program is selected in the step of the menu selection by the user (10),
- Entering the name of the meal (101),
- Controlling whether the name selected is in the memory (10) or not (102), Starting the manual cooking program (20), if the name is not found in the memory (10) in the step of controlling whether the name selected is in the memory (10) or not (102),
- Asking whether the cooking should be started according to the cooking profile of the selected name or not (115), if the name is found in the memory (10) in the step of controlling whether the name selected is in the memory (10) or not (102),
- Waiting for a time period determined by the manufacturer (116), if the user does not select the start of the cooking in the step of asking whether the cooking should be started according to the cooking profile of the selected name or not (115), - Determining whether the time limits predetermined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (117),
- Returning to the step of asking whether the cooking should be started according to the cooking profile of the selected name or not (115), in the step of determining whether the time limits predetermined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (117), - Returning to the step of the menu selection by the user (10) if the limits are exceeded in the step of determining whether the time limits predetermined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (117),
- Operation or stopping the operation of the cooking appliance according to the saved parameters (120) if the user selects the start of the operation in the step of asking whether the cooking should be started according to the cooking profile of the selected name or not (115),
- Controlling whether the user changes the parameters or not (125),
- Returning to the operation of the cooking appliance (24) according to the selected parameters if the parameters are not changed in the step of controlling whether the user changes the parameters or not (125),
- Returning to the operation or stopping the operation of the cooking appliance according to the saved parameters (120), if the parameters are changed in the step of controlling whether the user changes the parameters or not (125).
The cooking appliance (1) which is the subject of the invention provides the cooking by following and controlling the parameters like temperature, moisture and time which are the controlled combination of the functional parts such as the heater (6), the funnel (14) and the fan (7) by means of the control card. The said parameters and their combinations are saved in the memory (10) under the names determined by the manufacturer and/or the user, and this provides the cooking without any further adjustment with the profile when the same meal is desired to be cooked again.
If the meal is cooked for the first time by the user, the parameters determined by the user and the combination of the heater (6), the fan (7) and the
funnel (14) are saved in the memory (10) temporarily and in the long term memory when the obtained cooking profile is required to be named, thus when the same meal can be cooked under the same profile without any further adjustments.
If the user wants to repeat a profile saved in the memory either by him/her or the manufacturer, he/she can determine his/her preference through the menu program and cook without any adjustments. If he/she wants to make any adjustments on the profile, the adjustment is saved in the memory (10) temporarily and can also be saved under the same or any other name in the memory (10).
Claims
1. A cooking appliance (1) having one or more heater (6) which heats the inside, one or more fan (7) which provides the circulation and the direction of the heated air and one or more control card (2) including at least one memory (10) in which the parameters and/or the algorithms are saved; characterized in that the said control card (2) provides the user with cooking according to his/her desires, cooking with the preferences and conditions saved before or cooking the same meal under the same conditions by recalling the algorithm saved before by controlling the parameters like moisture, temperature and time, in addition to the cooking algorithms designed by the producer according to the traditional or regional recipes and recorded in the memory (10), and comprising the functions of the cooking appliance (1) like which heater (6) and/or fan (7) will be activated at which state of cooking, when will be activated and stoped and, for how long and at which power will operate.
2. A cooking method for the cooking appliance (1) as defined in Claim 1 comprising the steps below: - Controlling whether the user selects the menu program (10),
- Starting the manual cooking program (20), if the menu program is not selected during its control step (10),
- Asking the user whether the cooking should be started or not (21),
- Waiting for a definite period determined by the manufacturer (22), if the user has not selected during the prior step (21),
- Determining whether the time limits determined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (23),
- Returning to the step of asking whether the cooking should be started or not (21) if the limits are not exceeded in the step of determining whether the time limits determined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (23), - Returning to the step of selecting the menu program (10), if the limits are exceeded in the step of determining whether the time limits determined by the manufacturer are exceeded or not (23),
- Operation of the cooking appliance according to the determined parameters (24), if the user selects the start of the operation in the step of asking the user whether the cooking should be started or not (21),
- Continuously measuring and temporary saving of the temperature, moisture values and cooking period (25),
Controlling whether the cooking is completed or not (28), - Asking whether the cooking profile is saved or not (41) if the cooking is not completed in the step of controlling whether the cooking is completed or not (28),
- Controlling whether the parameters are changed or not (26), if the cooking is completed in the step of controlling whether the cooking is completed or not (28),
- Returning to the step of operation of the cooking appliance according to the determined parameters (24), if the parameters are not changed in the step of controlling whether the parameters are changed or not (26),
