Definitions
- the invention relates to a roller or calender roller according to the preamble of claim 1, and a method for producing a roller according to the preamble of claim 11.
- calender rolls which have a topping Layer, which consists of paper or textile material.
- topping Layer which consists of paper or textile material.
- calender rolls whose covering is made of a variety of Washers of textile material or cotton fabric, which on a Metal core are threaded and are strongly compressed in the axial direction.
- These rollers form a coating or a surface, which is a has some elasticity and beyond for a relatively cheap as well as wear something can turn it off again to achieve an even, smooth surface.
- such existing rollers to build a new coating or layer system It has been tried to use one exactly postpone suitable metal cylinder on the textile layer and on it turn to apply a layer, for example, plastic or rubber.
- the metal tube must fit exactly to the diameter of the diameter, since otherwise it comes to mechanical problems.
- the invention is based on the object, an aforementioned roller and to provide a process for producing a roll with which the problems of the prior art can be avoided and in particular inexpensive and technically manageable another Layer structure applied to existing treatment facilities can be.
- a roller has a hard base on which a covering of paper or textile material is applied, which has a certain Thickness, in particular several centimeters.
- the covering exists from a variety of individual thin layers of paper or Textile material. These are compacted or compressed for one certain dimensional stability.
- This topping is made of paper or textile material structured on its surface.
- plastic in particular liquid plastic, which has the effect of an adhesive and additionally for a mechanical connection, in particular for Load transfer, serves.
- stabilizing layer made of fiber material. This is also soaked with plastic, which hardens and together with the fiber material a forms stable fiber reinforced layer.
- the roller is a calender roller, or it is one used to create a new one with the described method Roller to produce.
- a roll can after completion as a calender roll form a rolling mill with a metal counter-roll, for example for smoothing paper surfaces.
- a coating be, which is advantageously made of plastic or rubber. This can have a thickness of a few millimeters to a few centimeters and of the hardness and other properties to the desired purpose to be adapted.
- a substructure of the roller is preferably metallic for a sufficient Strength.
- Particularly preferred is a solid or hollow metal core, which also forms the axis of rotation in the case of a roller.
- Slices of paper or textile material can be placed on a substructure applied or threaded in the case of a roll on a roll core and form the coating. For this they are condensed and compressed, in the case of a roller advantageously by means of clamping means at the ends, which for example screwed nuts could be.
- the structuring of the surface of the covering can, for example, grooves which, depending on the thickness of the lining and other Requirements may have a variable depth. This depth can between 3mm and 20mm, for example, at just under 10mm. It is considered advantageous if a uniform and uniform Structuring is provided, so for example only grooves. These can all be provided at the same distance from each other, wherein they are advantageously closely adjacent. By one another as directly as possible subsequent application of the grooves becomes their number per unit surface area as large as possible and thus their adhesion improving effect. Likewise, this can be the mechanical connection with which the Load transfer occurs, be improved. So can mechanical Transfer loads from the outer layer better to the roll core become.
- a structuring of the surface is provided so that it only runs in the direction of rotation or no or only a small one Longitudinal component mainly in the axial direction of the roller having.
- Grooves are thus substantially or advantageously exclusively in the direction of circulation as self-contained circular Grooves. It is also possible to have a groove in the manner of a screw thread provided. Thus, the aforementioned properties also achieved, if not quite so good.
- plastic or adhesive may be provided resin, for example Synthetic resin such as epoxy resin.
- resin for example Synthetic resin such as epoxy resin.
- a plastic can advantageously be a thermoset be.
- a fiber material advantageously reinforcing fibers are used with great stability. They are particularly advantageous in the form of rovings Applied, so a kind of continuous fiber bundle.
- a fiber material may preferably be selected from the following group: glass fiber, Carbon fiber, aramid fiber or boron fiber.
- the application of the fiber material to a roller as a treatment device can be done by rotating the roller and the Fiber material is wound up. It should be noted when winding up be that the fiber material as possible compressed and close together and applied evenly. It is possible first in a first pass to fill the grooves or depressions for Achieving a reasonably level surface. It can be another Layer of fiber material can be applied. Alternatively, in one single pass applied the fiber material with the desired thickness become. It is considered advantageous if the fiber material already impregnated with liquid plastic or adhesive applied becomes. After curing of the plastic or adhesive can another toppings are applied either directly or first the surface can be smoothed, for example, sanded off.
- the topmost coating is a polymer material, for example Rubber or a plastic.
- a calender roll 11 is shown. This consists of a Variety of discs 13 from the aforementioned paper or textile material. The discs 13 are on a core 15, the same time shaft ends has, threaded. By two retaining washers 17 on the left and right end, the paper discs 13 are compressed.
- the treatment according to the invention is carried out with a cutting tool 21 according to a usual turning the surface 19 or the discs 13 are treated.
- grooves 23 are cut.
- the grooves 23 are exactly parallel, directly adjacent to each other and always with the same distance to each other exactly in the circumferential direction on the roller 11.
- the surface 19 of the Roller 11 processed, so the individual discs 13 at their outer edges not shredded, but cut relatively smooth. This means, that they are workable like a solid solid material. Yet becomes due to the processing by the surface formed thereby or total area of the adjoining outer edges of Slices 13 one from the outside so to speak open or for liquid accessible structure. This will be even closer explained.
- Fig. 2 rightmost as another alternative structuring shown as holes or blind holes 26 in the surface 19 can be introduced. This can, for example, by Drilling is done as well as laser beams or the like. Furthermore the holes can be as pure cylindrical blind holes as shown be executed. Likewise, they can become narrowing down run.
- Fig. 3 are in split-view the various steps shown to start from a provided with grooves 23 treatment device, for example, the calender roll 11 shown in FIG. 1, to apply the further layer structure. It is assumed by a structure of the surface of FIG. 1, wherein the retaining washers 17 are already provided with the grooves 23.
- synthetic resin 30 is produced by means of a nozzle 32 applied.
- the nozzle 32 may also be another application device be provided.
- the order is made as in the second step right next to it can be seen that at least the grooves 23 with the Resin 30 are reasonably well covered, advantageously not completely filled are.
- Synthetic resin are applied. This depends significantly on the following Process of applying the fibers.
- the entire roller 11 covered with a layer of impregnated with synthetic resin 30 fiber material 35 is.
- this application of the layer or the production should the layer can be made so that either by winding or subsequent Processing the surface fairly evenly and is.
