Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for forming packages of loosely stacked printed products with at least two conveyors and a depositing device, wherein the first conveyor promotes printed products with the proviso to the depositing device, that the stored in the depositing printed matter with its back facing a first side of the depositing device wherein the second conveyor promotes printed matter with the proviso to the depositing device, that the stored in the depositing printed products facing with their backs a second, the first side opposite the depositing device, wherein the printed products alternately with the first conveyor and with the second conveyor can be stored in the depositing device.
  • Such a device is for example off DE-A-2009373 known.
  • Printed products means in the context of the invention, in particular magazines, brochures or catalogs. After printing, these printed products must be grouped into stacks or packages for storage and / or transportation. In these stacks or packages, however, not all printed products can be stacked with their backs oriented in the same direction. This would lead to bulky package aggregates, which are not suitable for further handling or for further transport. Therefore, it is already known to form the stacks or packages of sub-stacks, wherein in a package alternately sub-stacks are arranged one above the other, in which the backs of the printed products are oriented in one direction or in the opposite other direction.
  • a device of the last mentioned type is made DE-OS 2 009 373 known.
  • This device has two conveyors for the printed products.
  • a first conveyor is provided with a turning device or reversing device equipped, which turns the printed products around 180 ° around the flow axis.
  • This turning device consists of two endless conveyor belts, which are in frictional engagement with each other in the turning area.
  • the printed products can be detected by the opposing surfaces of the conveyor belts and rotated by 180 °.
  • this known device has not proven itself. While the goal is achieved that the printed matter or sub-stacks of printed products can be stacked alternately with opposite back orientation in the stack, these stacked printed products leave much to be desired in terms of their quality or in terms of their external appearance. In fact, these printed products stacked with the known device frequently have waves, kinks and even cracks.
  • the conveyor belt sections are each rotated by 180 ° in the crossing region also means within the scope of the invention that they are twisted by approximately 180 °.
  • the conveyor belt sections are each rotated about the longitudinal axis of the respective conveyor belt section. It should be emphasized that in the device according to the invention or in the turning device according to the invention only a single endless turning conveyor belt is used, which is rotated twice by 180 °. Between the intersecting conveyor belt sections of one and the same conveyor belt, the printed products or sub-convolutions of printed products are taken up according to the invention and rotated by 180 °.
  • conveyor belt section can not designate a specific or concrete section of the turning conveyor belt because, due to the endless circulation of the turning conveyor belt, another section always reaches the intersection area and then forms the conveyor belt section which is rotated there, or There it has the rotation by 180 °.
  • the invention is based on the finding that with the device according to the invention comprising the specially designed turning device, printed products can be stacked into packages without these printed products having undesired damages, such as kinks, undulations or cracks. In diesen Stapeln bzw. Printed products means in the context of the invention, in particular magazines, brochures or catalogs.

A device of the last mentioned type is made DE-OS 2 009 373 known. This device has two conveyors for the printed products. A first conveyor is provided with a turning device or reversing device equipped, which turns the printed products around 180 ° around the flow axis. This turning device consists of two endless conveyor belts, which are in frictional engagement with each other in the turning area. Here, the printed products can be detected by the opposing surfaces of the conveyor belts and rotated by 180 °. However, this known device has not proven itself.

For the formation of packages with alternating orientation of the stacked stacks, another device is known from practice. Here partial convolutions of printed products are first fed to a conveyor with a packet table. Such a sub-batch of printed products is then stored as a partial stack on the package table, which is designed as a turntable and is then rotated by 180 °. In this new orientation, a further sub-batch of printed products is then stored as a partial stack and so on. This leads to the different orientation of the backs of the printed products in the stacked sub-stacks. This procedure has proven itself in principle. However, the rotational phases of the packet table cause a more or less intermittent work. Accordingly, the working speed leaves much to be desired and needs improvement. In the known device, moreover, the printed products are deposited from a relatively large amount on the package table. Due to this large height of fall, quality impairments of the printed products may result. Also in this respect, this known device is in need of improvement.

In contrast, the invention, the technical problem underlying a device of the type mentioned, in which the above-mentioned disadvantages can be effectively and reliably avoided.

This technical problem is solved by a device having the features of claim 1.

The fact that the conveyor belt sections are each rotated by 180 ° in the crossing region also means within the scope of the invention that they are twisted by approximately 180 °. The conveyor belt sections are each rotated about the longitudinal axis of the respective conveyor belt section.

It is understood that the term conveyor belt section can not designate a specific or concrete section of the turning conveyor belt because, due to the endless circulation of the turning conveyor belt, another section always reaches the intersection area and then forms the conveyor belt section which is rotated there, or There it has the rotation by 180 °.

The invention is based on the finding that with the device according to the invention comprising the specially designed turning device, printed products can be stacked into packages without these printed products having undesired damages, such as kinks, undulations or cracks. With the device so printed products with optimal or undiminished quality can be stacked in a simple and reliable manner to the packages and thereby the backs of the printed products or sub-stacks of printed products can be oriented functionally alternately to one or the other side of the package. With printed products are in the context of the invention, in particular flexible printed matter such as magazines, magazines u. Like. Meant. These flexible printed products are particularly sensitive and it is precisely these flexible printed products that can be handled simply, functionally reliable and without damage with the aid of the device according to the invention. In that regard, flexible printed products differ for example from hardcover printed products.

According to a very preferred embodiment of the invention, the device has only two conveyors and a depositing device. It is within the scope of the invention that only one of the two conveyors has a turning device according to the invention. - Part of the depositing device is a packet table on which the printed products are at least ultimately stored.

It is within the scope of the invention that from a conveyor, for example, from the first conveyor a Teilkonvolut of printed products in the depositing device is stored as a partial stack. Subsequently, a second partial convolute of printed products is then deposited as a partial stack in the depositing device by the other, for example by the second conveying device. Then again follows a partial convoy, as a partial stack of the first conveyor is stored in the depositing device, and so on, until a stack of printed products is completed. This package is conveyed out of the depositing device. Partial convolution of printed products means a plurality of printed products, in particular two to ten, preferably three to eight printed products. During conveyance in the conveying devices, the printed products of a sub-batch are preferably stacked on top of each other. If the printed products are then stored in the depositing device, partial stacks form, in which the edges of the printed products are aligned, ie are arranged exactly one above the other, namely "back to back". The backs of the printed products in directly stacked sub-stacks point in opposite directions.

It is within the scope of the invention that a device for generating scale-like superimposed printed products is provided and that these scale-like superimposed printed products are introduced into the conveyors and conveyed by the conveyors.

According to a very preferred embodiment, which is of very particular significance in the context of the invention, a distribution device is provided, with which a partial convolute of printed products of the first conveyor or a partial convolution of printed products of the second conveyor can be fed alternately. The distribution device may be, for example, a switch device. The distribution device works expediently with the proviso that first one, for example, the first conveyor a Teilkonvolut of printed matter is supplied and then the second conveyor a Teilkonvolut of printed matter is supplied, and then again the first conveyor another Teilkonvolut is supplied and so on ,

It is within the scope of the invention that successive partial convolutions of printed products can be conveyed with each of the two conveyors, each with a certain spacing. The distances of the sub-convolutes in the promotion in the conveyors are set up with the proviso that an alternate storage of Teilkonvoluten from the first and the second conveyor in the depositing device is possible.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, both the first and the second conveyor endlessly circulating conveyor belts, with which the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products are conveyed. Conveyor belts means in the context of the invention, in particular conveyor belts. Also, in the reversible conveyor according to the invention is in particular a reversible conveyor belt. Appropriately, a conveyor is set up so that in each case at least one conveyor belt rests on the underside of the printed products and in each case at least one conveyor belt on the upper side of the printed products during conveying. The printed products are thus received frictionally between at least two conveyor belts and transported in an endless movement of the conveyor belts. It is within the scope of the invention that a conveyor belt of a conveyor is narrower than a printed product or as a partial convolution of printed products.

With the turning device according to the invention, the printed products or a partial convolution of printed products are turned. Turning means that the top sides or title pages of the printed products are oriented in the opposite direction after turning. So if the top or title page was oriented upwards before turning, so the top or title page is oriented after turning downwards. The turning of the printed products therefore takes place so that in the end of the Partial bundle formed package on all printed products the same page, especially the title page, oriented upwards. It is within the scope of the invention that the turning of the printed products in continuous operation, that is carried out with continuous further promotion of the printed products. Characterized in that the two conveyor belt sections are rotated in the crossing region in each case by 180 °, the printed products are turned when passing through the crossing region or also rotated by 180 °, so that the previously oriented upward top or bottom of the printed products is now oriented downwards ,

It is within the scope of the invention that the two conveyor belt sections of the reversible conveyor belt are frictionally engaged with each other in the crossing area. Of course, the conveyor belt sections can only bear against each other directly by friction when no printed products are conveyed between the conveyor belt sections. Otherwise, the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products are received by friction between the surfaces of the conveyor belt sections. The top of the printed products is then on the surface of a conveyor belt section and the underside of the printed products is applied to the opposite surface of the other conveyor belt section.

The endless reversible conveyor belt has two circulation bends and the two intersecting conveyor belt sections connect the circulation bends with each other. Of course, as already explained above, the circulation bends and the conveyor belt sections are not always formed by the same section of the turning conveyor belt, because due to the endless circulation always other sections or regions of the turning conveyor belt form the circulation bends or the conveyor belt sections. According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the endless turning conveyor belt runs in the form of an 8.

It is within the scope of the invention that the width b of the reversible conveyor belt is less than the width or the height of the printed products. Conveniently, the width b of the reversible conveyor belt is 4 to 20 cm, preferably 5 to 18 cm and preferably 5 to 15 cm. Width b of the reversible conveyor belt means the extent of the reversible conveyor belt transversely to its longitudinal direction or longitudinal axis.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the turning conveyor on one side or on a surface at least one extending in the longitudinal direction of the turning conveyor belt and emerging from the belt surface guide belt. The guide belt expediently engages in correspondingly complementary guide grooves of the guide rollers. The guide belt may also be a toothed belt. Instead of the guide belt can be used within the scope of the invention, spaced apart guide elements which protrude from the belt surface and engage in the endless running of the turning conveyor belt in corresponding complementary guide grooves of the guide rollers.

The first conveying device preferably has a first transfer end for the printed products, which is arranged on one side, in particular on the first side of the depositing device or of the package table. Conveniently, the second conveyor has a second transfer end for the printed products, which is arranged on the other opposite side, in particular the second side of the depositing device or the package table. The supply of the printed products or the sub-convolutions of printed products thus takes place from two opposite sides of the depositing device or the packet table. It is within the scope of the invention that the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products of the Conveyors can be fed to the transfer ends with the proviso that the printed products have the same orientation both with respect to the first transfer end and with respect to the second transfer end. Orientation refers to the orientation of the back or the opposite front edge of the printed products. Conveniently, the back of the printed products is oriented both in the conveying direction at the first transfer end and at the second transfer end. Since the printed products are fed to the depositing device or the package table from two opposite sides, the inventive arrangement of the partial stacks thus results in a package in which two partial stacks arranged directly above one another have opposite orientations of the backs of their printed products.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the depositing device of the device according to the invention on a packet table and at least one arranged above the packet table clipboard, wherein the printed products or partial convolutions of printed products are first stored on the clipboard and can be stored from the clipboard to the packet table arranged thereunder. Preferably, at least two clipboards are provided above the packet table, more preferably three clipboards. With the help of these clipboards it is achieved that the drop height of the printed products or the partial stack of printed products can be reduced, so that a very gentle treatment of the printed products takes place. This inventive design of the depositing device with at least one clipboard has proven itself in the context of the device according to the invention.

With the device according to the invention a very rapid continuous operation or formation of packages of printed products is possible. Unwanted rest periods or breaks must during operation of the Device according to the invention are not complied with. The operating speed is 40% and more higher than other known devices, which work in particular cyclically. - As already stated above, it is of particular importance in the context of the invention that the device due to the special design of the turning device, a surprisingly gentle and damage-free promotion of the printed products is possible. Insofar as the invention is based on the recognition that when using only a single reversing conveyor belt in the embodiment according to the invention an optimal synchronous operation of the printed products between receiving conveyor sections is possible.

The figures show an apparatus for forming packages 1 loosely stacked printed products 2, wherein the printed products 2 are brochures or the like flexible printed products 2. The device according to the invention has two conveyors 3, 4 and a depositing device A. The first conveyor 3 conveys printed products 2 or partial convolutes 5 of printed products 2 to the depositing device A with the proviso that the printed products 2 stored in the depositing device 2 face with their backs 6 a first side S1 of the depositing device A. In contrast, the second conveyor 4 promotes printed products 2 or partial convolute 5 of printed products 2 with the proviso to the depositing device A, that the deposited in the depositing device A printed products 2 with their backs 6 a second, the first side S1 opposite side S2 are facing. The sub-convolutes 5 of the printed products 2 are alternately deposited by the first conveyor 3 and by the second conveyor 4 in the depositing device A. First of all, for example, a first partial convolute 5 of printed products 2 is deposited by the first conveyor 3 in the depositing device A and then a second partial convolute 5 of printed products 2 is deposited in the depositing device A by the second conveyor 4. This, in turn, includes depositing a partial convoy 5 from the first conveyor 3 and so on. In the exemplary embodiment, a partial convolute 5 of three printed products 2 is formed, which are stacked one above the other.

In Fig. 1 It can be seen that a distribution device 7, not shown, is provided, with which a partial convolute 5 of printed products 2 of the first conveyor 3 or the second conveyor 4 can be fed alternately. It can be seen that the sub-convolutes 5 are supplied from the imbricated superimposed printed products 2 from the same side of the device. It is within the scope of the invention that with each conveyor 3, 4, the successively conveyed Teilkonvolute 5 respectively have certain distances to each other. These distances are set up with the proviso that an alternating deposit in the depositing device A takes place from the first conveying device 3 or from the second conveying device 4.

The first conveyor 3 consists in the embodiment of at least one lower conveyor belt 9, at least one upper conveyor belt 10 and two Umleitrollen eleventh Fig. 1 shows that a partial convolute 5 of printed products 2 in a receiving nip 12 of the first conveyor 3 is introduced. Then the Teilkonvolut 5 is conveyed between the conveyor belt 9 and the conveyor belt 10 and deflected to the diverting rollers 11. In the conveying direction after the diverting rollers 11, the partial convolute 5 between lower conveyor belt 9 and upper conveyor belt 10 is further promoted to the depositing device A. In this conveyor section the Teilkonvolute 5 are conveyed in the direction R. Subsequent to this conveying section, the filing of the partial bundles 5 in the depositing device A then takes place (FIG. Fig. 3 ). In the Fig. 3 it can be seen that the first conveyor 3 has a first transfer end 13 for the printed products 2, which is arranged on one side (here the second side S2) of the depositing device A. The sub-convolute 5 is converted in the storage in a partial stack 14 of printed products 2 by the printed products 2 are directly above the other. The partial stack 14 is in Fig. 4 stored on an upper clipboard 15. The backs 6 of the stored printed products 2 are in this case the first side S1 of the depositing device A faces.

The second conveyor 4 comprises at the beginning, ie after the receiving gap 21 for the printed products 2, the turning device 16 according to the invention, which has only a single turning conveyor belt 17 which rotates endlessly over guide rollers 18. This single turning conveyor belt 17 has two intersecting conveyor belt sections 19, 20 which are in the crossing area 22 are each rotated by 180 ° about their respective longitudinal axis. According to the invention, therefore, a single turning conveyor 17 is used, which is rotated twice by 180 °. While the turning device 16 in Fig. 1 is slightly more complex and has a plurality of guide rollers 18 is in the Fig. 2 a greatly simplified embodiment shown in which the reversible conveyor belt 17 rotates about only four guide rollers 18. This simplified embodiment is merely illustrative of the turning device according to the invention. In this Fig. 2 It can be seen that partial convolutes 5 of printed products 2 are picked up between the conveying sections 19, 20, which partial convolutes 5 or printed products 2 are turned over by the crossing region 22 during further conveyance or rotated by 180 °. Printed products, which are oriented with the front side upwards in front of the intersection area 22, have an inverted orientation (title page downwards) after the intersection area 22. The printed products 2 or the sub-convolutes 5 of the printed products 2 are expediently and in the embodiment frictionally received between the conveyor belt sections 19, 20. Fig. 2 shows that the reversible conveyor belt 17 according to the invention according to a preferred embodiment, two circulating arches, each associated with two guide rollers 18, wherein the two intersecting conveyor belt sections 19, 20 connect these circulating arcs each with each other. It can be seen that the endless turning conveyor belt 17 rotates in the form of an 8. In the Fig. 2 Incidentally, it has been indicated that the reversible conveyor belt 17 has on one side or a surface a guide belt 29 running in the longitudinal direction of the reversible conveyor belt 17 and emerging from the belt surface, which engages in corresponding complementary guide grooves 30 of the guide rollers 18. In this way, the reversible conveyor belt 17 is guided on the guide rollers 18 in a functionally reliable manner. In the second conveyor 4, the printed products 2 or sub-convolutes 5 of printed products 2 behind the turning device 16 between at least one lower and transported on at least one upper conveyor belt. This was not shown in detail and only clarified by arrows. The printed products 2 and the associated conveyor belts are guided around a deflection roller 23, so that the printed products 2 are conveyed behind the deflection roller 23 in the opposite direction. In this way it is possible that the printed products 2 or the sub-convolutes 5 of the depositing device A are supplied from two sides. The second conveyor 4 has in the conveying direction behind the guide roller 23, a second transfer end 24, which is opposite to the first transfer end 13 of the first conveyor 3. From this second transfer end 24 a partial convoy 5 is transferred as a partial stack 14 to the depositing device A ( Fig. 1 ). The storage of the printed products 2 takes place in such a way that the printed products 2 with their backs 6 face the second side S2 of the depositing device A. Also in the second conveyor 4, preferably the backs 6 of the conveyed printed products 2 are oriented in the conveying direction at the second transfer end 24.

As a result, it is achieved that the partial stacks 14 arranged directly one above the other have an opposite back orientation of their printed products 2. This is for example in the Fig. 4 shown. Here, three partial stacks 14 are arranged one above the other and deposited on the upper clipboard 15. Furthermore, a middle clipboard 25 arranged below the upper clipboard 15 and a lower clipboard 26 arranged below the middle clipboard 25 are provided. The clipboards 15, 25, 26 each consist of a first storage element 15.1, 25.1, 26.1 and a second storage element 15.2, 25.2, 26.2. These storage elements can be moved into the storage position or moved out of the storage position. In the Fig. 4 For example, all storage elements 15.1, 15.2, 25.1, 25.2, 26.1 and 26.2 moved into the storage position. In the functional position according to Fig. 5 are the storage elements 15.1 and 15.2 of moved out of the depositing position upper clipboard 15 so that the existing of the partial stacks 14 sub-package 27 could be stored on the middle clipboard 25, the storage elements 25.1 and 25.2 in Fig. 5 moved into the storage position.

In the functional state according to Fig. 5 may from the first conveyor 3, a further sub-convolute 5 than in Fig. 5 not shown partial stack 14 are stored on the sub-package 27. Then a finished package 1, as it is in Fig. 6 is shown. After the storage of the further sub-stack 14 on the sub-package 27, the storage elements 25.1 and 25.2 of the middle clipboard 25 were then moved out of the depositing position so that the package 1 could be deposited on the lower clipboard 26. Fig. 7 finally shows the state in which the finished package 1 is stored on the package table 28. For this purpose, the storage elements 26.1 and 26.2 of the lower clipboard 26 have in the meantime moved out of the storage position. Fig. 7 shows the state in which the storage elements 26.1 and 26.2 are retracted again to the storage position. On the middle clipboard 25, a further sub-package 27 has already been formed from sub-stacks 14. On the upper clipboard 15 is a further sub-stack 14, by moving out of the storage elements 15.1 and 15.2 from the in Fig. 7 shown depositing position of the upper clipboard 15 on the sub-package 27 of the middle clipboard 25 can be stored. Incidentally, the finished package 1 located on the package table 28 is removed from the package table 28 with a discharge device not shown in the figures.

Das führt zu einer sehr schonenden Behandlung der Druckerzeugnisse 2.With the help of the clipboards 15, 25, 26 according to the invention in the depositing device A, a very flexible handling of the partial stacks 14 or formation of partial packages 27 and packages 1 can take place. In principle, the method of laying can be set up so that only low drop heights are to be covered. This leads to a very gentle treatment of the printed products. 2
